Well, based on what you're saying and indeed what the video says, the Genesis version may play a tiny bit tighter, but I tend to judge games based on the sum of all parts rather than only one or two elements, as well as there not being any significant issues in one or more parts that are hard for me to ignore, so, as long as the SNES's slightly slower response doesn't actually make it play bad, I think the SNES deserves the overall win here. The funny part is that the dumped Genesis ROM comes in at 2MB, which would be 16 megs, which is also the same size of the dumped SNES ROM, 2MB, which again, comes out to 16 megs. So storage would not be the issue. Maybe it was due to porting issues as we've seen a lot on here.

Sweet job on compiling the winner’s lists so far 👍 very close war between the 2 consoles. Impressive as the Genesis is less powerful
So happy when there's a new episode :))) So good and making fresh and clean my late evenings (a period in my life which I need something like that so much...I lost my woman, my savings, my job. My heart. My life.) and I'm really thankful that you continue to FIND TIME to make this channel still relevant. Regards as always - from a fan since 2014 from Eastern Europe, Bulgaria ! :)
Hang in there. Im sure things will turn around soon!
all the stop motion footage was great, well worth the effort. keep it up guys!
Thanks!
Awesome episode as allways! How about worst Pit Fighter or worst Rise of the Robots @ Console Wars? : D
Awesome episode guys! The stop motion scenes are awesome.
Thank you!
Awesome video, loved the stop-motion!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Back during the early 90's fighting game craze I remember being so obsessed with this game til I rented it. Solid title and lots of fun with a friend but yeah all in all nothing super noteworthy. Really cool to see you guys do an episode on it and per usual loved the various skits, that end fight was perfect.
I was always impressed with how clear the vocals are on the clayfighter theme song on snes.
How weird is a game that nobody gives a dime but might be part of everyone's 90's childhood
I love the episode guys! I cant wait for the live stream of this games! A FT 10 would be great!
I loved playing as the blob i used to rent clay fighters and uniracers all the time at blockbuster back in the day
Now everytime I get in a street fight I'll yell "ARE WE DOIN THIS!" when I do a spin kick 😏 lol
Nice work with the stop-motion. I love the effort you're putting into these - they're always a fun watch! I'd love to see you guys do Flashback: The Quest for Identity!
I do put a loooooot into these videos. Always happy when people recognize that
@@ConsoleWars You can really tell! With having to know the games inside out and then writing a script, doing the acting, and special effects, it's amazing you've managed so many episodes. I wish you had more subs/views as your videos are great fun and very watchable/binge-able. I've never done this before, but I might have to sign up to Patreon for you guys as it's really not fair you don't have more subs/support given the effort put in.
@@craigbeckley2710 Comments like these make me happy
Another great episode, well done
Thank you!
I played ClayFighter Tournament Edition on SNES. Glad you guys uploaded on my 30th birthday today. Thanks for a cool video, guys.
Im gonna have to put in for MUSHA (Genesis) vs Super Aleste/ Space Megaforce for Snes at some point. Both Compile shooters in the Aleste series, both viciously defended and compared against eachother.
My guess is MUSHA
@@gonefornow5218 Same here, MUSHA has better pacing imo
Played MUSHA thanks to an unlicensed cartridge (an original copy is just WAY too expensive): couldn't get past stage 3 but it was pretty good. Super Aleste I have yet to try it.
Both crazy over priced.
I agree. That would be a great Console Wars episode
Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost. Arrested Development, Buster. Hmm…. I guess next episode we’ll see who they’re gonna to call.
So Ghostbusters? Possibly a new NES VS Master System video? Never would have guessed. Still, it will be nice to Sega win one for once.
This is the first comment that actually got it right
Please do a video for Rygar on the NES versus Rygar on the SMS.
Awesome, very good Job with the Stopmotion-Parts :D
Thanks! 😄
one of the best channels on youtube, well done guys,i love watching you...i think u havent done The smurfs comparison yet (snes vs genesis) so what u waiting for??let do this ;)
“LET’S GET READY TO CRUUUUUMBBBBBBLEEEE”
I was looking foward for a new Console Wars episode!!!
I love that the videos have the vibe of 2007 UA-cam. Nothing is flashy at all. Just two goofs who love games
Took a long time for a new console Wars.. Welcome back! I Was waiting for a new episode!
Did you see the stop motion? That takes time
I saw it, it was EPIC!
Omg that stop motion is glorious, I’m like 5 seconds in and I love it
We thought it would be lots of fun
Console Wars action figures confirmed.
Also, Man hands!
Nice Comix Zone reference, especially how well it fits with seeing lots of BSG (9000!) in the episode. Had a good laugh at your disgust that the games had a tie. Funny to see some stop motion since the Angry Nerd just used some in his Halloween episode to animate his Freddy and Jason action figures. HAWEDOINTHIS?!
"No one cares about the Evercade" XD Somebody needed to say it lol. Cracked me up.
Aside from the theme song with the lyrics, I actually like the way the songs sound with the FM synthesis on Sega better. They just sound "fuller" and that classic Sega bass is there.
Loved everything about the claymation lol. Really impressive! I have no idea how you guys did that. "Console Friends" sounds like a concept that's got legs... Also, lol'd at how jacked claymation Dan's khaki pants just make it look like he's not wearing any pants XD Nice vid, fellas.
Come for the game reviews, stay for Pat’s animal corner
Still wondering how after all these years these guys are not at the very top of the UA-cam charts with all the great videomaking, production and presentation these guys bring to the table. Even with a change in cast, they're still just as good. All this effort deserves more.
Thank you for the kind words!
I'm wondering if the Genesis version has less megs than the SNES one. Most of its deficiencies seem due to lack of storage on cartridge.
Just sending some love. Love your videos as always. I remember playing that game as a kid. Thank you for bringing back those memories from my childhood. Be safe. Don't forget judge dredd for the next episode LOL
The Genesis usually does really good with multi-plats, so it's interesting to see a role reversal.
Thanx for the episode, guys. Luv the stop motion animation.
Thanks! It wasn't easy
i'm not bothered about how long this episode could've been done before because the outcome was fantastic!
...especially the ending skit!
Thank you!
As a fan of stop motion animation, the lengths you guys went to actually making animated scenes was absolutely worth the wait.
Thank you!
Great video guys and love the stop motion effects! You work hard on them. Should have put Goro in the fight due to him being stop motion. See Y'all in the Wolfchild video!
I've been waiting for this episode
Hope you liked it!
@@ConsoleWars I sure did
I know I'm late but when I was younger I passed this over for Pit Fighter. I was dumb and didn't know any better lol. My friend told me Pit Fighter was like Mortal Kombat so I went with that. We still laugh about it today.
Awesome video!! Stop motion was very cool!! I really want a console friends show now!!🤣🤣👍👍
Thank you!
Great episode guys, though the stop motion puppets wernt buff enough.....
I know. We need to work out less lol
Gameplay should go to Genesis. Playing a sluggish unresponsive fighter is no bueno.
This should be a tie at worst and Genesis winning at best.
Loved Dan trying his best to play up the Genesis version 😂. I had the SNES version as a kid and never played the Genesis one
You didnt miss much it seems
With the clay presentation the best console war channel is console wars❤
