Great Episode! Little trivia : Waldo is known as Wally in most countries, except in France where it's Charlie, and Germany where it's Walter! Episode idea : I don't know if you will be able to do this any day, but in Europe we had a "Tintin in Tibet" for super Nintendo and Megadrive. It was a horrible game done by Infograme and not well known outside of Europe. If you can get your hands on these games, it could be fun!
In the last picture, is Waldo even in there? I think I see someone or something that could be him in the pink building to the left inside the doorway to the right, but I can't tell for sure. What is the original picture called?

Great episode guys. I remember the "Where's Waldo" books as a kid. The video games on the other hand...not so much. Also props on the "Where's Waldo" segments, especially the ones that saw Waldo hiding, felt like looking at a "Where's Waldo" book.
@@ConsoleWars yeah, Odlaw was introduced to the series in 1991 in the poster book, Wario in Mario Land 2 in 1992. I’m sure Nintendo was influenced by characters like Bluto and Mirror Universe Spock, but I have to assume Odlaw gave a bit of a nudge in the direction they went.
I actually came up with a rather mundanely plausible idea for a Waldo movie: Waldo is a travel vlogger who makes videos about places he goes to during his day job. His girlfriend also appears in his videos as “Wilma”, he has a friend dress up as “Wizard Whitebeard”, and a dog that shows up occasionally. Odlaw is an Internet troll who makes fun of Waldo on social media. Waldo has fans who dress up like him, equivalent to the Waldo Watchers in the books.
Another great video! I always look forward to what game you will compare next. Also, I like the "twist" in this episode that you are each competing for what is worse, instead of better.

There were 'multiple' Where's Wally games... and they play like Where's Wally books. That is new to me. Fantastic video; the opening skit was terrific and I was in hysterics over the frequency of the Where's Waldo line.
When I was getting back into 16-bit video games in my 20's, I would often play really simplistic games like this while I was drinking & complain about them. My roommate would always retort "That's because you're playing a game for a child!".
Haha I was just thinking the other day “when are the console wars guys gonna finally tackle that T2: Judgement Day shooting game they teased in the mini-consoles episode?” Anyway great episode as always! Keep up the quality content!

This is a crazy idea, but have you guys ever thought about reviewing similar or alternative games on the same console? Like the US version of Fantasy Zone on NES VS the Japanese version, or US Rainbow Islands VS the Europe version, or Taito's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade VS the Ubisoft version, etc?
They made some videos comparing 3 games before, since all the games you mentioned have a master system version, will be cool if they make videos comparing the 3 versions of each game.
I can't fathom the fact that this game was made and released, along with the NES game. I mean, a Where's Waldo game should have been a platform game, with levels, enemies and bosses, and this finished "game" should have been the bonus levels
I could only imagination that THQ thought in some regions that their release would count as an educational program and therefore be exempt from certain taxes so they knew that they could do a poorly done and easily programmed find waldo game so they figured that doing the least amount of work for the most dollars was the best strategy.

I think just a cd version of this (3do, sega cd, tg16 cd, saturn, psx) could have pulled this off just due to the better scaling from 16 bit games and about a 30 times the storage space. The ram itself and sprite abilites of these 24-32 bit systems could have allowed waldo and the relics to be placed anywhere on the screen and they could have created a title system to switch around the level a bit, especially for the land of waldo level.
@@FoxUnitNell that would probably be the bare minimum for a passable Waldo console game. If the console could run it in 480i mod and zoom in and out, it would probably be relatively playable.
