Where can I find the trident true liner that you used in the video? Also for the HOLEE mod do I need to remove the lube on the stabs before? I don't really want to go out and buy lube but this mod sounded so good.
Hi Infinite! The liner is the zip-n-fit shelf liner from target! And for the holee mod, you would have to thoroughly clean the inside of the stem, or the bandaid does not stick :( of you don't want to go through that trouble, check out the bar end wrap mod I showed in last week's video! Just clean the bar end and wrap it with bandaid :)
The default one sound a bit hollow even with the included stick foam. In my opinion the gmmk pro is a great keyboard for the price, but acoustically, it can be better. I'm tinkering around with it to see what I can do... I think the gasket provided are pretty bad... I have some ideas and will see if they work out! If so, expect some videos to come out soon!
Great video, I may jump for the Zip-And-Fit liner and replace the foam. I also noticed that the anodization is really thin/light on the case. When I was screwing and unscrewing the case, my screwdriver (its hexagonal) was lightly rubbing against the case and the black anodization was scratched off. The thing was that I didn't even notice any resistance or scraping of my screwdriver and case itself, the color scuffs were pretty apparent but I was able to band-aid fix it with a black sharpie.
Hi Geo! Thank you very much, and I appreciate the comments! I have not actually tried the Sakurios, but one day I hope I can! If not for anything else, just for the look of it :)
Can't lie, if there was a TKL version of this I might have splurged and broken my rule about how much to spend on a keyboard. Just can't get used to the 83 layout but I'm looking at the non pro since there is a TKL version of that one. Suppose I should wait and build the Epommaker GK87 I have on the way first, maybe my kb hunting will be sated for a while with that one.
@@Keybored yeah, there are a ton of less expensive options but if you want something a little nicer the price goes up by $100 at the least. Hopefully this will scratch my kb itch for a while though, I have other rabbit holes to throw money at!

Hi Energized Hershey! This is something I want to look into as well... Only thing I have seen out of the box that seems to add some flex is using the pc plate. But it might require some further modification to truly make this board flex.

You're welcome for the amazingly fun drinking game :)
another glorious product that's either shit or amazing out of the box. Really wish they just took the time to enforce some quality control in their products. If they did no doubt in my mind they would become an extremely sought after brand. after 3 different mice had 3 different problems i decided to take my business elsewhere even though i really liked the feel
Yeah... they do really need to make some improvements here...
Bro the black is not as nice sorry you don't like the silver
:) I guess all preference. I just wish glorious would just call it silver Vs. White
Yes that would be great if they did that
Where can I find the trident true liner that you used in the video? Also for the HOLEE mod do I need to remove the lube on the stabs before? I don't really want to go out and buy lube but this mod sounded so good.
Hi Infinite! The liner is the zip-n-fit shelf liner from target! And for the holee mod, you would have to thoroughly clean the inside of the stem, or the bandaid does not stick :( of you don't want to go through that trouble, check out the bar end wrap mod I showed in last week's video! Just clean the bar end and wrap it with bandaid :)
What did you say about Chad Browns?
What does the default one sound like
The default one sound a bit hollow even with the included stick foam. In my opinion the gmmk pro is a great keyboard for the price, but acoustically, it can be better. I'm tinkering around with it to see what I can do... I think the gasket provided are pretty bad... I have some ideas and will see if they work out! If so, expect some videos to come out soon!
So, did you just replace the gaskets? Did it make any difference?
Yup! I peeled off the old one and used a new. Didn't think it made much difference tho lol
Yup! The anodization Def can be better... I know the price point is more aggressive, but wish they could improve on this in the future!
great quality and detailed video!!! keep it up,
PS: Have you tried Sakurio ZealPC switches on that board?
Hi Geo! Thank you very much, and I appreciate the comments! I have not actually tried the Sakurios, but one day I hope I can! If not for anything else, just for the look of it :)
I think among the results, your silver build sounds just better
Thank you for the feedback! The silver has a very gentle sound and feel :)
I hope more manufacturers work to bring out nicer keyboards that are easier to access!
@@Keybored yeah, there are a ton of less expensive options but if you want something a little nicer the price goes up by $100 at the least. I have a gk 87 on the way and by the time I've added switches caps and a nicer cable it's almost $200. And thats with being frugal. Hopefully this will scratch my kb itch for a while though, I have other rabbit holes to throw money at!
i have nothing new to say, same as others, but in case u read this: appreciated and love ur work.
I really appreciate it it! I try to read and respond to all comments so if you have any questions, let me know!
Can you do a video or any suggestions how to add flex in the gmmk pro???? Another question which foam did you think would be better for the gmmk pro, polycarbonate plate with silent alpaca switches?????
Hi Energized Hershey! This is something I want to look into as well... Only thing I have seen out of the box that seems to add some flex is using the pc plate. But it might require some further modification to truly make this board flex.
@@Keybored ty
StupidFish has some GMMK PRO foams he will release soon ;)
Will have to pick some up! I'm sure his foam will definitely improve the sound!
RSCEND 👍
So this zip-n-fit - is there just the one version of it that shows up on Amazon, or is this an extra-thick version? The one on Amazon looks to be thinner on the pics. Just checking as I've never heard of it before (in the UK.)
Yup! This is the thick and soft one. There is a thin and plasticky one and should be avoided!
@@Keybored please can you link, all I can find is the thin one.
great video as always :D
though seems you might've forgot music or is that just me?
Also fr your gmmk pros sound legitimately great, especially compared to other reviewers gmmk's for some reason lol
Hi Fred! :) it was intentional this time. Received comments about music being loud, etc. So tried it without background music this time. Let me know what you think!
@@Keybored Ah i see, makes sense! though i do think just having some quiet music in the background would be nice to fill out the empty parts. great video anyways :D
@@Keybored I loved the no music. Seems like every review video theses days has the obligatory elevator, coffee shop, hipster music. Watched the video from beginning to end and didn't have to turn down the volume or fast forward. Thank you.
The thock after you added your dampening pad is sooooo yummo. Just ahhhhhhhhhh.
The pad made a big difference! I randomly came across the zip-n-fit and it has not failed me yet!
