It's come along a bit from the scalextric I had when I was a kid back in 1966, smashing.
I have 200’ of slot car track. Only 2 cars though can run on it. I’ve had it since 1991. The cars are much smaller and getting more expensive and harder to find. Worse yet, it’s all in boxes now ‘cause I don’t have an 800 sq/ft basement to set it all up in anymore.
The reintroduction rails are a really good idea! Props for that one (Safety cars could also be stored in there, but in slot car racing, they more have a symbolic meaning)

How do you controll individual cars that are on the same rail? They are connected by radio/bluetooth or something? Or the rail has more contacts in the hole? Please tell me

Rails have only two wires. Digital signals travel through the track to the chip in each car - you also have lane changers - you hit a button on your controller and your car changes lane.
