  • Metal Master and our new friend Charlie Parra came all the way from Peru to The Music Zoo in New York to give us the rundown on his brand-new Kramer Charlie Parra Signature Vanguard. While he was here, he wanted to give all of the other guitars in the Kramer lineup a try. See for yourself as he rips up the Zoo-Exclusive Diver Down, the Nightswan, and multiple Graphic Collection guitars!

Crazy guitar skills! I love how Kramer dominated the guitar industry in the 80's and made a comeback with instruments that are still as sexy as ever. I would like to see a return of acoustics (Ferrington) as well as "super Telecasters" (SC3...)

These Kramer guitars are exciting in the way they were during the 80’s. I’ve owned many guitars including core prs, custom dean, Ibanez Vai, custom builds, etc. and nothing has what Kramer has going on at the moment. Their only weak spot is their stock instrument set up but if you know a great tech you have something that I like nearly just as much USA prs. In fact for some special songs or moments I’ll take the Kramer!

Sam Ash on a Saturday morning.... This shows the average player nothing about the guitars. I love you folks at the music zoo. I get it he's fast, he shredded.... God forbid you turn off the distortion and the reverb...

@A F Mad? That's funny... Playing guitar is NOT about how many notes you can play in in under a minute. It's about feeling and soul. BB King said more with one note than this guy's 150 notes per second. I'm not bashing speed metal at all, if you like that go for it, what ever floats your boat. My comment was simply saying that's no way to demo a guitar. If you want to show off your chops, by all means make a vid about how fast you play. But to demo a guitar???? That video tells me nothing about the guitars tone, feel, action, various sounds, playability... Again I'm not knocking the guys chops, he obviously put a lot of time into playing as fast as he can. But in a demo video???

@@nemo656 So why do you automatically assume that he's not playing with *soul because he's playing fast?! This seems to be a built in bias from people who prefer playing the *blues. The feeling comes from the player. Whether or not you pickup on if he's playing with feeling or not is on you. Rather it's based on your perception of the player and your personal preference or not for the style of music being played. To add insult to injury you state that you know what playing guitar is about. Get real, playing guitar is many things to many people. Not just one thing because some guy on a message board says so.

@@nemo656 Kramer and Jackson were the brands preferred by many 80s hair metal guitarists. They mimicked Eddies style and sound with finger tapping and saturated distortion such as Lee, Lynch and DeMartini. Charlie is just sending us back in time to that period matching the guitar to the flashy sights and sounds of 80s hair metal solos. In a previous vid he did he mentioned Randy Rhoads as his major influence which is mine also. Blues licks were prevalent in 70s and 80s rock. You take BB and I`ll take Randy.

Amazing guitar skills but awful sound. It sounds like the worst metal albums between 1989 and 1993. Please choose the right amp!
