i know this is super old, but it baffles me how people are acting like this is impossibly godlike skill. like, it's still certainly not easy, but most of the challenge of syobon action is it tricking you and catching you off guard. if you memorize all the shock moments and traps, it just becomes a game of muscle memory, precision, and patience. still impressive, though.
so basically like a nerfed version of trap adventure 2?

I was laughing so hard at the end when I saw there was a big chicken guy at the boss
I think the boss was the cat in the bridge
The Chicken was Toad or The Princess.
Its known as the Muscular chicken. It gets funnier you find out how to beat your evil twin brother

It's hilarious how old this game is. A lot of the kids that are watching this video probably weren't even born yet, and I didn't know how to walk or talk when this game came out for sure.
Yeah, I figured that out after playing it, myself. I had already played it for a while before seeing this video, and hadn't made it this far. The best I've done is finish at -3 lives twice, but never perfect!

I remember this was the first time I heard the Cheetahmen theme.
Whew, finally beat this game, first time playing it, only -195 lives and 1 hour to beat.
This is a very fun but cruel game.
My best run was 0 deaths on 1st level, 2 deaths on second, 6 deaths on third, and 26 deaths on 4th.
This game is actually on the App Store now and it’s actually really good.

I've seen a video on here of somebody trying to beat the first level and they never did. It's like the game puts traps in every spot you would normally move in. This guy does a superb job of a flawless victory. There re some traps that boggle me, like the very end.

hey guys, do u wanna know a REAL cheat code to this game? then follow the instructions. (this isnt spam, it works)
1. play cat mario (duh)
2. T is the reset the game button, press and hold down a number, for example 4, then press t while holding 4, it will take u back to the starting game screen, and when u enter u will start from level 4!
3. there is only lvs 1-4 but if u try it with 0 u go to a secret level generator that is more random than all four levels and almost imposible!
This game came out before I was born, wtf men

If you read the comments from earlier, you'd see that you need to hit the question balloon and dodge the stars that fall to lower the block.

OMG!!! i cant believe you did that!!!!!! I cant make the first level without loseing 30-50 lives( in my defense i havent played in 18 months).
press 0. the one right above the P and O. it messes up the whole level and randomizes it basically. but the checkpoint and traps are still in the same areas.
Yeah, that "o" button comes in handy when you're stuck and there's no other option but instant death. lol. Thanks for the warning about the "t" button. I'll know to steer clear of that one.
(answering chrisael4) in lvl 1 you don't run and jump - you just move to the edge and keep holding right, but not for too long (you don't want the pole to scroll out)

DARN YOU! every time I trigger the green ? ball trap in level 3, it throws 10 stars at me! it gave you ONE! it's really easy to dodge if you know the timing well, but still, 1 is easier than 10!
For those of you that dont know, triggering the falling star trap is required to finish that level, because doing so causes a block a little further on to fall down a few spaces, and if it stays in its start spot, it is impossible to get on top of.

Yeah, but he started from the beginning to the end without dying. Those two lives were most likely other recordings of this.
@angelus4282 hop on turtle shell when the flying thingy to the left is on the way down...then land on that...jump on the lower ledge and quickly follow the turtle shell, when ur on the bottom platform, just hold the right key. No need to jump or the lasers will shoot

Everyone thinks this game is so hard for some reason but it's actually really easy.
ATOMIC REVIEWS Yeah I don't get why people are shocked over this video. I played this game years ago and it gets extremely easy, all one has to do is memorize the levels. By the end of it I was flying through every stage and doing speedruns no problem.
