Yes they are in dream land most of the time with the prices, in the U.K. this VRS starts from just under 54 grand! All they are doing is pricing themselves out of the market, with the way the economy is currently and is going, people won’t be buying cars at the price when they are facing £500 a month average fuel bills.

Thomas, some of us prefer animal skin over synthetic. It is now well established you are indeed against animal skin and probably also vegetarian. I think it is wise for automobile manufacturers to have options for both as they may have problems selling consumers like me. BTW, I come from working in textiles all my life and there is no such thing as fully ecologic synthetic leather/vinyl.
Thanks for caring. I am trying to avoid what happens in slaughterhouses. I know PU isn’t perfect but hell yes it’s way better than shedding blood. And more and more better alternatives are coming up and you can also use recyclables
@@autogefuehl I agree to a degree that we need to reduce meat consumption/production, specially in the farming end where there is a significant amount of pollution created by intensive farming - all farming not just animal breeding when done intensively without regard for the environment. But there is still quite a bit of slaughter done where it is worse to throw away skins that can be used. In fact, Skoda is using olive oil process with teir leather that is far more environment friendly that their leatherette.
@@elmojito Do you really believe that rubbing some olive oil onto cows skin will turn it into leather? That's obviously just marketing to make people feel good about buying polluting product made from dangerous chemicals. Climate Healers recently released a report showing that animal agriculture is responsible for 87% of global greenhouse emissions - it's a good read on their website if you have the time. That's why it makes no sense to put animal products into electric cars, since it immediately destroys their sustainability.
@@michaelmcgavin7106 I don't think that is what I said. If you look at the leather option in this Skoda model it is made in a more ecological process that includes olive oil. They describe as: "the leather in the Ecosuite is sustainably sourced and treated with olive leaf extract rather than chemicals". All the man made fibers supposed to be recycled but I can tell you the most toxic pary of the process in the making of materials is in the fabric finishing process which is usually very toxic for man made materials originating in oil. BTW, it is also very toxic when made from bamboo and other wood type products and even some cotton products - specially indigo dyes for jeans.
Ιt looks much better beacuse of that awesome color!! In other colors prefer the SUV shape.(They should make this color available for the regular Enyaq too) Advantage of this: probably better aerodynamic. Disadvantage: less storage space. Also, personally I think they're taking the wrong road!! Instead of taking the vrs path and focusing on trying to make it look sportier and faster (in this section there are a lot of EVs and even Tesla that they can't compete) they should follow the real SUV path( there are not a lot real EV SUVs , with proper suspensions, ground clearacne and off road modes)
@@autogefuehl I think that is true for almost all previous VRS models, like Octavia and Fabia. But from Mlada Boleslav the cars that are going to be VRS models have been transported to Vrchlabi to be acessorised with VRS add-ons. Don't know if this is still the case with Enyaq but that is the history of VRS =) And btw you make great videos! I'm a huge fan!!
The Enyaq is missing two key things for me: - faster charging! 77kw/h with only 100kw charging is not great for the price! - not having remote parking is killing all those people like that have shared parking (and very narrow parking) Although the Enyaq looks better, the EV6 is a better choice (with frunk for the cable)
Greetings from Normandy, I will change from thermal combustion to electric with this Enyiaq in (thomas) Blue Having had a Skoda, then a Citroen Space tourer I want to go back to SKODA thank you Thomas great review !
I like that one even more than the SUV version of the Enyaq.. if the coupe had been available a year ago already, I'd have ordered one without second thought. It's a bit annoying that VW does this staggered release of the variants of their new EVs.. I tested the original Enyaq iv80 and it had too little power for my taste.. "wait half a year for the AWD version". I tested the AWD version half a year later and it was too SUV'ish for my taste.. "wait half a year for the coupe version".. well, now the coupe is released and I have ordered an alternative a year ago. Perhaps they should at least offer pre-orders.. I'd love to put down a reservation payment to get one of the first ones if/when they decide to add a convertible version of the Enyaq to the lineup in 3 years or so ;-)
Tatsächlich mal eine gelungene Form, das Cockpit wirkt sehr funktional und ordentliche Außenfarben. Mit der Formensprachen sollen wohl BMW Kunden angesprochen werden. 600.000 Abos- Respekt
Looks like a very nice car but I really don’t need such a big SUV. I’m still waiting for something equivalent to the Nissan Leaf, a hatchback basically, from another manufacturer. I couldn’t stand the infotainment of the ID3, the capacitive buttons and the cheap feeling interior - pity cause liked the rest of the car very much.
Isn't Tesla 3 kind of the same size as the Leaf? But it's almost all touch based :( I am a fan of compact cars as well, not really plan on driving SUVs. Hopefully there will be more compact EVs in future, maybe new Prius in 2025+?

Would have looked better without that thick, black grill surround. Still better looking than the VW blob (ID. 4) we get here in the US.
Ιt looks much better beacuse of that awesome color!! In other colors prefer the SUV shape.(They should make this color available for the regular Enyaq too)
Advantage of this: probably better aerodynamic.
It is said that the V in VRS means the city the factory is located, Vrchlabi.
Interesting! The Enyaq is built in Mlada btw
Awesome job, awesome car
🤟
The Enyaq is missing two key things for me:
- faster charging! 77kw/h with only 100kw charging is not great for the price!
- not having remote parking is killing all those people like that have shared parking (and very narrow parking)
Although the Enyaq looks better, the EV6 is a better choice (with frunk for the cable)
I think it's 150kw
For a family car the Enyaq is a better package. Also 175kW charging power
Resembles more and more with some BMW model :)
Greetings from Normandy,
I will change from thermal combustion to electric with this Enyiaq in (thomas) Blue Having had a Skoda, then a Citroen Space tourer I want to go back to SKODA thank you Thomas great review !
Good to hear from you my friend! Hope u re doing well and tours are picking up!
Very nice car, excellent review
Appreciated!
Nice. When it's the same price a a Kodiaq VRS, I'll consider one.
I'd love to put down a reservation payment to get one of the first ones if/when they decide to add a convertible version of the Enyaq to the lineup in 3 years or so ;-)
Much easier on production to start with fewer configurations and increase later.
Since you didn't li9ke driving the normal Enyal how the coupe would be any different.
@@aristotelisentertainment279 The RS coupe has significantly more power than the regular iV80 version, and even slightly more than the AWD iV80X.
The 2019 concept previewed the coupe version
@@anemeth9281 Wish they would sell it in that concept yellow
Whyyyyyy Škoda UK - the microfibre seats look so good and (mostly) sustainable!!
Totally agree.
Does it need or have a heat pump ?
It does have and it needs
@@autogefuehl UK does not have it as standard it’s an extra £1000
The front grille got some "BMWness" to it as quick glance.
This is the first time im existed for a electric car
Lovely car
Tatsächlich mal eine gelungene Form, das Cockpit wirkt sehr funktional und ordentliche Außenfarben. Mit der Formensprachen sollen wohl BMW Kunden angesprochen werden.
600.000 Abos- Respekt
Danke dir!
But it's almost all touch based :(
I am a fan of compact cars as well, not really plan on driving SUVs.
Hopefully there will be more compact EVs in future, maybe new Prius in 2025+?
Renault MeganE!
@@japkoslav unfortunately Tesla do not sell cars in Malta.
@@anemeth9281 my thoughts also. I’m waiting for it to become available and get a proper look. We still don’t know pricing either.
@@ewadge They do not sell car officially in my country as well, but there are quite a lot of sellers and services anyway ;)
Wow…is just me or if you look from the front it looks like a true BMW? Beautiful none the less. Btw…Hello Thomas. 🤗
Looks more like a BMW that more recent BMWs. Nice looking car
greetings!

Thanks 👍
