Great review and entertaining. Dalya is excellent and fun. She’s not afraid to be brutally honest about the ones she doesn’t like. You should do more reviews together.
While others think what dress you going to wear for your wedding, I am thinking what fragrance I am going to wear, carnal flower is on top 4.... potrait is my signature fragrance, but I am about to order the number 1 and see,
Musc Ravageur rocked my WORLD! I actually seemed to have a visceral reaction, and then I read...NO florals! Then I realized after I found out that the flowers weren’t there, THATS why it came off as SO incredibly DIFFERENT! In nothing but a GOOD and rebellious kinda way! ❤️
Olivia Giacobetti is a French perfumer and I think that she developed a fragrance that recalls her French memory of lilac. Lilac in France (Paris surrounding) is a garden flower that pops up at the end of spring. It is often associated with lightness and simplicity. In Paris, in June it also rains a lot, and in my mind lilac is definitely associated with water, something fresh and delicate. The air is slightly humid and the atmosphere is peaceful. All the perfume that pretend to smell like lilac often smell what lilac is "supposed' to smell, according to its color--it's a lilac fantasy, a projection of intentions, but do they really smell like the real flower? Anyway, I love your videos and respect everybody's opinion. Diversity is what makes perfumery so fascinating.
Love this review right here! To me Portrait of a Lady still keeps the first place. Then I would put Musk Ravageur as number two and Rose & Cuir as number three. Thank you for your energy and expertise!
I have Iris Poudre and love it. I also have Lipstick Rose and Carnal Flower. Love them all. I would never pay 1600.00 for perfume, ever. I'm with her, ridiculous.
i was looking for top frederic malle fragrances and I watched the other video last week so thank you for this update, and I love to see dalya in these niche videos
1. Musc Ravageur 2. Portrait of a Lady 3. Promise (reminds me of Enigma by Roja) 4. Vetiver Extraordinaire 5. French Lover This is my top five from Frederic Malle, at least of the fragrances I've tested. I love this house. The fragrances smell and feel luxurious and high quality. The concept of the line itself is liberating for the perfumer and enjoyment of the consumer. Fantastic all around.
I own promise and had smelled enigma before and i can't found any correlation that would remind one or the other... but promise smells really expensive and has this X factor to it... The price tag is the only thing that both share in common 😂.... oouh i also get the comment on both smells like a fragrance elderly would wear... promise being for grandma and Enigma for a grandpa ☠️
Omg one week ago came my first Frederick malle fragrance and it was musc ravageur! It so great and I'm so happy to see it on number one! Cheers from Chile!!!
I'm a huge fan of Promise POAL and Rose and Cuire but surprisingly, En passant is my TOP no 4. It's so different from the other three, refreshing and really addictive. I was surprised I loved it so much hahaha
I just ordered a sample of Musc Ravageur because of you guys then I'm watching this new video and you guys are raving about it again! Hehe, I'm so excited to try it! I also ordered a sample of Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace. Can't wait!
Musc Ravageur and French Lover are the best ones for me. Like, I could easily reduce my collection to these two and would be well served all year round.
One of my favourite houses spoken about my favourite duo! 👑 Une rose is the best rose in the line imo and the original formulation of musc ravageur 😍 I'll treasure that
En Passant is my favorite of the dozen or so FMs I've smelled to date and one of the only florals that I don't find cloying. I have a lot of perfumes, but always reach for this one.
Lovely house review, even though you skipped favourites such as L'Eau driver and Noir Epices. I really enjoy these house reviews, and especially when you have such great guests - two somewhat different takes on the fragrances is so illuminating. Would love so much if you reviewed all the Hiram Green fragrances, would really appreciate your view on them.
Oh yes Musc Ravaguer is totally awesome, soft comforting oriental spicy vanilla....i have samples and keep wearing it. I would love to smell like this all the time 😍
Thank you for the video. I go to the Malle counter and get distracted by POAL even though there are obviously lots of other amazing fragrances in the line. When the world opens again, I am going to re-watch this video and then go to Saks to try some of them in earnest.
Awesome video collab! Love when you guys collab together to get your different take on fragrances. I really like Frederic Malle because of how different the scents are. I think I’m going to sample Musc Ravenger, Promise and Une Rose. Carnal Flower and Portrait of a Lady are lovely scents!
I always watch your white floral ranking fragrance all the time! I wish you could make a new, updated list 😊 Dalya reminds me so much of Skyler from Breaking Bad. Awesome tandem!
I live in an area where Macy’s is the most upscale perfume shopping available within 60 miles so I don’t always have the opportunity to discover new lines or fragrances in person. Love your videos and definitely helps continue my fragrance journey!
Wow!!! POAL number 2! It will always, always be my number 1 but I agree that MR is in the top 5. Probably would be a 2 for me. Still a bunch on that list that I want to try - Lipstick Rose and Carnal Flower being the first 2. Love seeing you guys review together!
Yay! Dalya is back love these reviews with Dalya So not a fan of portrait of a lady it makes me want to chunder way over hyped I have carnal flower & fleur de Cassie which I like but don't love my fave is Dries Van Noten for the gourmand factor I must try musc ravageur someone said that Meharees by Lerbolario smells similar & I LOVE Meharees
Awesome ranking by Dalya! Have not smelled any FM fragrance yet. Have considered Portrait of a Lady as a potential blind buy, but no must check them out first, specially now after this ranking, must check out those top three for sure.
I really love this house. I'm not sure if you have it but Angeliques sous la pluie is in my top 10. Also I love Musc Ravageur but it was even better before the reformulation. I really wish I could get my hands on an old one.
I need to try Lys. I've been casually looking for a somewhat masculine floral and that sounds like it would fit the bill. Such a fabulous line of fragrances.
Poor Dalya always having to feel bad and defend her ranking 🤣 I really have falling in love with Cypriol, have you smelled Patchouli absolu by TF? Its like the monsieur Patchouli with a monster dose of cypriol I think you'd like it.
I think Vetiver Extraordinaire was originally incredibly strong and rich and the best vetiver I've ever tried. The current version is more watered down, but still beautiful.
This video is very very informative and important. There are some important hints, shared in a nutshell. Thanks a lot for the review: Mr. Sebastian and Dalya
Bigarde is one of the more unique unisex perfumes out there. The pepper notes combined with cardamom and orange are lovely. The other fragrances I wear are Annick Goutal's Eau D'Hadrien and Tom Ford's Neroli. I'll have to stick through to the bitter end to see which fragrances you actually like.
Woot! Dalya is back! I love a Dalya guest host - my favorite duo! I absolutely agree on the top 5 with Dalya. Carnal Flower was also my first FM purchase, and Musc Ravageur is my number one reach for fragrance in the line. Fantastic video, and please let Dalya know she never need apologize for her opinions, ;)
I dislike Dios Ispahan...but there are many from the Frederic Malle line that I love. They are unique, full or exotic smells and the quality is outstanding.
The caipirinha cocktail is actually only made with lemon, cachaça (wich is a distilled drink that is like a Brazilian vodka) and sugar. And you cannot squeeze or shake so the cocktail doesn’t go bitter. That’s it, just put the alcohol, the lemon and the sugar in a glass and drink very slowly, and obviously a lot of ice
😳 today i smelled Musc Ravageur Holy - This one instantly catched me. It reminds me of Must de Cartier i have a lot of good memories. Very strong and heavy but smells luxury and opulent. 🤤 Very yummi
Bought some samples. Eau de magnolia on me is a no nó, very one dimensional magnolia and mint was all I could smell and it felt very old fashioned. However lys mediterranee I liked instantly for day and portrait of a lady had similarities to lys med but a little more complex, more powdery, very sophisticated and lovely for evening. Last one musc very comforting definitely unisex maybe better on a man than on me but it definitely does what it says on the box a musk bomb! Very interesting but still love the Chanels more.
This was THE best perfume video in my personal ranking. Greetings from Germany ... PS I ( female ) like to have Music Ravageur in my collection but someone told me it smells like childhood on a sheep farm. Or like someone with a lot of hair on the chest and on the back, Thomas Magnum for example. Or the sexuell Dragqueen of fragrance. I still want MR!
Great video 👍🤩. I appreciate your honesty Dalya!!!! I only have "Portrait of a Lady", now really interested in "Musk Ravageur" from your description very nice, #1
Today i try 16 bottle. What i like only 3 but the best only 2. 1. Carnal Flower : 8 2. Angeliques Sous La Pluie : 8 3. Eau de Magnolia : 5 4. Rose Tonnerre : 4 5. Une Fleur de Cassie : 5 6. Cologne Indelebile : 5 7. Dans Te Bras : 4 8. French Lover : 4 9. L'eau D'hiver : 3 10. Lipstick Rose : 3 11. Lys Mediterranee : 3 12. Musc Ravageur : 5 13. Rose & Cuir : 4 14. En Passant : 4 15. Iris Poudre : 3 16. Portrait Of Lady : 4
@@RichMitch if by guerlain vetiver extreme you mean Malle Vetiver Ex than were on the same page 🤣 been testing it the last couple days and its awesome, plus I own the Guerlain 😉
Off topic - Have you tried Eris Mxxx? Just got a bottle after it being on my hand for 3 minutes. I never do that! Ambergris bomb. Best ambergris I’ve tried. Apparently it may not be available for long.
Le Parfum de Therese is my fav from the line by far. I find that fragrance perfect and exquisite. Nice to see that It would have been in the rejected pile 🤣
It's educational when you compare scents to others in different lines--very helpful. We have just about every Frederic Malle scent. We first met him in 2000 in his very first store in the Left Bank when he had only 3 fragrances. We bought Noir Epices - -it's still our favorite. Here are my top and bottom five: Top Five 1. Noir Epices: I say it smells like a “handsome” woman; Greta Garbo in a tuxedo. It’s a spicy pear-shaped fragrance for men. Regardless, it’s fantastically, darkly layered and totally sexiness in a bottle. Run, don’t walk. 2. Superstitious: I’m soooo not in agreement with Dalya about this scent. This is a f****ing brilliant interpolation of a 1950s floral. The soapy aldehydes keep the floral top notes bouncing along without ever settling. It’s not like anything on the market right now. Whenever I wear it, I find myself sniffing me constantly. 3. Le Parfum de Therese: I agree with M. Malle that this is a masterpiece. It’s straight outta the 50s yo, so it might feel a bit old fashioned but it’s a perfectly balanced, perfectly delicious time warp. Put on your pearls and step into your favorite Todd Haynes film. 4. Lys Mediteranee: Normally, I’m averse to “accords” as it tends to mean “artificial elements” but this is pretty fantastic. The saltiness in the sea breeze accord is a great partner to the lilies and the ginger. Again, it’s all about a perfect balance. 5. Dries Van Noten: To me, this is pretty much a straightforward and luxurious sandalwood. I don’t at all get the gourmand profile you were mentioning. (For a gourmand sandalwood, check out Serge Lutens’ Santal de Mysore. It’s delicious.) This is an Hermes cashmere sweater that you kinda sweating in in front of a roaring fire but are loathe to take off and keep rubbing it all over your chest. Bottom Five 1. The Moon: In what twisted world did something think that raspberries go with oud? It’s like CdG’s clash fragrances, except no one wins. If this is what the moon smells like, send me to Uranus. 2. Portrait of a Lady: I am shocked you both rated this so highly. This is an old lady’s underwear drawer-an old lady that smokes Winston Reds. Again, raspberries. This time with frankincense. BLECH. 3. Outrageous: Another one that I’m surprised you both love. CK1 for the 21st century. Nothing outrageous about it except for the pandering to the 20-something crowd. 4. Dawn: A shadow version of The Night. Schmeh. Go big or go home, Francis. 5. Salle Gosse: Again, surprised you liked this. Sooooo not “les enfant terrible.” I’ve smelled this a million times, mostly in the 1990s at the Macy’s men’s counter where I worked.

Brooklyn French Lover........... 😁
She mentions Monsieur in the video, but it's not in here. Is there a special reason?
What about "dans tes bras", this one is not mentioned in both videos.
Great review and entertaining. Dalya is excellent and fun. She’s not afraid to be brutally honest about the ones she doesn’t like. You should do more reviews together.

Un Passant is in my top 5 it's a beautiful fragrance.
My absolute favorite videos of yours are the ones you two do together.
Love this review right here! To me Portrait of a Lady still keeps the first place. Then I would put Musk Ravageur as number two and Rose & Cuir as number three. Thank you for your energy and expertise!
The best duo in the business.
Love when you have Dalya on. She is great👍
I agree! She’s so polite when she disses a Frag!😂😂😂
Is she his wife ?
She is awesome
She is 👸🏻!
Musc Ravageur always my no one from FM. Great video & thanks Sebastian & Dalya
The two of you are truly the best fragrance reviewers on all of social media. French Lover is delightful.
I have Iris Poudre and love it. I also have Lipstick Rose and Carnal Flower. Love them all. I would never pay 1600.00 for perfume, ever. I'm with her, ridiculous.
It's wonderful to see Dalya again and we can't have enough of your Top 20s guys.
i was looking for top frederic malle fragrances and I watched the other video last week so thank you for this update, and I love to see dalya in these niche videos
Me too...
I really love this video as I’m not familiar with Frederic Malle frags.
I was sure Musc Ravageur is number 1, the best,so unique! Can not stop smelling it 😍😋😋
Obsessed as well! ❤️
Not so unique, smells the same as tobacco vanille tf
I'd like to see a top 10 or 20 on the best rose & oud combos
I love that you guys make your honest and different opinions on FM. It's very impressive amongst all others sweet-knees down-awed bloggers
Eau de Magnolia is quite famous in Asia but not a lot of youtubers mentioned it.
1. Musc Ravageur
2. Portrait of a Lady
3. Promise (reminds me of Enigma by Roja)
4. Vetiver Extraordinaire
5. French Lover
This is my top five from Frederic Malle, at least of the fragrances I've tested. I love this house. The fragrances smell and feel luxurious and high quality. The concept of the line itself is liberating for the perfumer and enjoyment of the consumer. Fantastic all around.

I love to see reviewing fragrance together, pls make more review and thank you :)
Love many of these but Frederic Malle L'eau D'Hiver would be in my top three. I just absolutely adore it. Great video 😊
Yeah I'm surprised that l'eau D'Hiver isn't even in the top. Love it so much
My TOP 5 FM (N.B. Without any particular order):
Carnal Flower
Une Rose
Promise
Portrait Of A Lady
Rose & Cuir
I'm a huge fan of Promise POAL and Rose and Cuire but surprisingly, En passant is my TOP no 4. It's so different from the other three, refreshing and really addictive. I was surprised I loved it so much hahaha
I just ordered a sample of Musc Ravageur because of you guys then I'm watching this new video and you guys are raving about it again! Hehe, I'm so excited to try it! I also ordered a sample of Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace. Can't wait!
En Passant is my favorite spring fragrance! Wearing it now on this rainy day in the Bay Area.
Hello Bay Area!! Nice to know there are perfume fans out there in the Bay Area!! :)
En Passant is my favorite, too!
Another Bay Area here for last 40 years!
Musc Ravageur and French Lover are the best ones for me. Like, I could easily reduce my collection to these two and would be well served all year round.
One of my favourite houses spoken about my favourite duo! 👑
Une rose is the best rose in the line imo

You two have the best noses. I have bought soooo many fragrances that you have reviewed. Spot on every time. xx
OOH! :)

Hi Sebastian, You have lots of energy man. In a day you are putting two videos. It's great man. Your are zealous about your work.👍
I rarely do two videos in one day but you might see two videos in less than 24 hours. You know though I thought about doing two videos in a day. :)
Oh yes Musc Ravaguer is totally awesome, soft comforting oriental spicy vanilla....i have samples and keep wearing it. I would love to smell like this all the time 😍

surprised The Moon wasnt in this list!? my fav Malle is Promise
Awesome video collab! Love when you guys collab together to get your different take on fragrances. I really like Frederic Malle because of how different the scents are. I think I’m going to sample Musc Ravenger, Promise and Une Rose. Carnal Flower and Portrait of a Lady are lovely scents!
Love such honest reviews. Dayla is fantastic !!!
I just LOVE seeing a grown up woman (over oud) doing reviews, love it and more please.
I feel you!
Wow!!! POAL number 2! It will always, always be my number 1 but I agree that MR is in the top 5. Probably would be a 2 for me. Still a bunch on that list that I want to try - Lipstick Rose and Carnal Flower being the first 2. Love seeing you guys review together!

I must try musc ravageur someone said that Meharees by Lerbolario smells similar & I LOVE Meharees
Nice FM rank video !
I have Musc Ravageur, Monsieur, Cologne Indelebile, Getanium Pour Monsieur…
My next purchase will be French Lover !
Awesome ranking by Dalya! Have not smelled any FM fragrance yet. Have considered Portrait of a Lady as a potential blind buy, but no must check them out first, specially now after this ranking, must check out those top three for sure.
U love this channel. This guy and every guest he has, know their stuff.
Great list guys! My favorite Frederic Malle are:
Geranium pour Monsieur
Portrait of a Lady
Rose&Cuir
Superstitious
Bois D`Orage :)
Geranium Pour Monsieur is a great, gentleman, classy and underrated scent from the line.
Monsieur is my favorite. Maybe because i like wearing suits and sportcoats to work.
Frederic Malle - good stuff. I'd rank them
just underneath Chanel & Geurlain, miles
before Creed :) though miles after Caron.
Poor Dalya always having to feel bad and defend her ranking 🤣 I really have falling in love with Cypriol, have you smelled Patchouli absolu by TF? Its like the monsieur Patchouli with a monster dose of cypriol I think you'd like it.
Thanks for the review , can you plz tell me what fragrance is somehow similar to french lover as you mentioned in the review. Thank you
Loved watching this even though I´m not interested in Frederic Malle fragrances. This woman is very charismatic and funny! Great video. :)
💟 ive not found a FM I loved yet but always enjoy a you and dalya video!
Love Dalya!! Always great insights (and FUN!) when she is here!
I love your top 20.
And you guys make a enjoyable combo.
Thanks for this treat Sebastian and Dalhia.
👋 from Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷
I think chanel misia is better than Lipstick rose. Lipstick rose is more plasticky vs a almost candied violet like chanel.
as i promised. thank you alot ....promise is the best in my opinion ...premium and long lasting
Exactly a video of FM i was looking for...
Thank you for mentioning Rose & Cuir, it’s my happy place.
I think Vetiver Extraordinaire was originally incredibly strong and rich and the best vetiver I've ever tried. The current version is more watered down, but still beautiful.
I just bought a discovery set and before I watched this video I thought to myself "music ravageur is SO unique... unlike anything else...must buy"
👍
Great vid :). My top 5 would be 1) Musc Ravageur, 2)Portrait of A Lady 3) L’Eau d’Hiver 4) Synthetic Jungle 5) Carnal Flower
Great scents for sure! :)
My favorites FM are Iris Poudre & Cologne Indélébile ❤
This video is very very informative and important. There are some important hints, shared in a nutshell. Thanks a lot for the review: Mr. Sebastian and Dalya
I love Geranium pour Monsieur.
My Top 5:
The Moon
Promise
Musc Ravageur
The Night
POAL
Woot! Dalya is back! I love a Dalya guest host - my favorite duo! I absolutely agree on the top 5 with Dalya. Carnal Flower was also my first FM purchase, and Musc Ravageur is my number one reach for fragrance in the line. Fantastic video, and please let Dalya know she never need apologize for her opinions, ;)
no longer!
Yo Carnal Flower is my everything. Gotta try the musk though
My two favorite from the house as well. Portrait Of A Lady probably the third. I think those are the best sellers too. Understandably.
I dislike Dios Ispahan...but there are many from the Frederic Malle line that I love. They are unique, full or exotic smells and the quality is outstanding.
I really enjoy your videos. I ordered a discovery set from Frederic Malle and I am really looking forward to discover this brand 😉

Thank you for the timed links!
Great review!!! I have Une Rose and Lipstick Rose.....both an easy reach for me!!! ✌🏽❤️🇨🇦
Agree with her on Superstitious. Nice but vintage smelling to me.
I'd say it's a little old school. But it’s awesome!!! 😀
Favorite FM is Vetiver extraordiner and cologne indelebile
Great video 👍🤩. I appreciate your honesty Dalya!!!! I only have "Portrait of a Lady", now really interested in "Musk Ravageur" from your description very nice, #1
yay!
I laugh when she apologizes to the perfumers 🤣....music for a while reminds me of angel from mugler
I love the two of you together! I love this list! I’m hoping to get my nose on Rose and Cuir someday soon
Today i try 16 bottle.
What i like only 3 but the best only 2.
1. Carnal Flower : 8

4. Rose Tonnerre : 4
5. Une Fleur de Cassie : 5
6. Cologne Indelebile : 5

12. Musc Ravageur : 5
13. Rose & Cuir : 4
14. En Passant : 4
15. Iris Poudre : 3
16. Portrait Of Lady : 4
I love POAL and Carnal Flower. You mentioned POAL has been imitated a lot. Which fragrances do you think smell similar to it?
Armani Rose d'Arabie however not as complex, not as natural and more sweet. But it's in the same vein for me.
Miu miu in the blue bottle smells similar to POAL
Perfect timing 👍 literally mulling over which one to order 🤷♂️ right now its between Vetiver Ext, Geranium pour monsieur and dries van noten.
Get the guerlain vetiver extreme
Malle vetiver extrodinaire isn't
@@RichMitch if by guerlain vetiver extreme you mean Malle Vetiver Ex than were on the same page 🤣 been testing it the last couple days and its awesome, plus I own the Guerlain 😉
Hello, if someone can face the wrath of Frederic Malle, can you list the alternatives to Bigarade Concentree , Cologne Indelebile ? Thank you.
Ask Dalya if she ever tried a Musc Ravageur hair mist? I think it's a complete dry down of MR without the harsh opening, cloves, etc
This was a great review, and also very educational. Dalya is a blast. Keep 'em coming!
What a duo! Even if you scripted it, nothing would match your banter live! Bravo!!! So enjoyable! Liked Dalia's very strict parameter!
No scripting whatsoever! 😀
Off topic - Have you tried Eris Mxxx? Just got a bottle after it being on my hand for 3 minutes. I never do that! Ambergris bomb. Best ambergris I’ve tried. Apparently it may not be available for long.
Been waiting for this one!
Loved this collaboration.
Almost same top 5 just different ranks. And surely musc rvgur, carnal f, PoaL, n lys are in my top 5 😍💜
I love your channel, thank-you for all of your entertaining work.

(For a gourmand sandalwood, check out Serge Lutens’ Santal de Mysore. It’s delicious.) This is an Hermes cashmere sweater that you kinda sweating in in front of a roaring fire but are loathe to take off and keep rubbing it all over your chest.
Bottom Five
Superstitious gives me Lanvin Arpege vibes. Except more earthy, less floral.
Hello Sebastian, just wondering what Hermes fragrance is the one that smells like Cologne Bigarade? Love this video!
Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche! I should do a comparison of those two! :)
