Hello everybody! This is my first video about pedals. If you like or do not like please leave the comment and subscribe this channel for new videos about music and sounds.
i wonder if you can get the guitar sound of the Steely Dan song Peg with the MXR Phase 100 i know it was originally an MXR M117 Flanger with the regen on full but i'm curious, can the Phase 100 get a similar sound?
I covered that song once with a band. The solo was a bitch. The phase 100 totally got me there for a single time live tho! I didn't even know it wasn't phase on the recording honestly.
Excellent setup chain....you can create with this mix of pedals...real pedals not like the new ones.. Yeah your missing a couple but you are on the way.
Phase 100 seems like the first version of the Phase 95? Essentially giving you the script, and block letter iterations of the Phase 45, and Phase 90? How would sound stacking a slow, mild Phaser sound into a more intense Phaser sound? Phaser into a Harmonic Tremelo?
Just an idea? Probably better getting the “right” modulation sound from the jump? Univibe? The new digital processors are interesting for that reason. You can dial in something unique and interesting that a pedal designer would have to spend years developing! Still, something special about plug and play...?
Yeah the phase 90 with hot pickups will clip the shit out of your clean channel. There's a volume/gain boost going on. Sounds amazing with heavy distortion though! I run it through my 7 string and Orange amp... it's huge!
I am thinking of getting a 90 but I am definitely running a plutonium hot signal it’s definitely boiling hot, I’m not kidding if I am holding my bass and grab something metal like the fridge handle to get another beer it shocks me! Not a big bad shock but I can feel it
100 is more transparent and has more shimmer. Strange how anyone would prefer the 90, but I guess it comes down to who played it on what tracks.
Phase 100 sounds cool, almost chorus/rotating speaker sounds
Hace reason Sounds cool but no CHORUS BETTER P90 BRO
Mick Ralphs used both....
He still & was a fab player no doubt.
Perfect demo thank you
The 100 is more versatile for sure but the basic sound of the 90 is warmer and overall - "nicer"
there is absolutely no difference in the sound. U can get the same frequencies with 100.
of course there is, the 90 is 2 notches while the 100 is 3, I have both and they sound different@@ksiazepaweek1064
I think phase 100 is the same thing with an additional knob.
And. Before distorsión Sounds amazing I play Jackson Kelly and. Randall RG 3 100watts amazing Bro🏴🐺
Sounds great! )
@@riversandspace6039 yes. True i use with. Jackson Kelly and Randall
@@riversandspace6039 thanks bro
Thank you
Can the 100 do everything the 95 can do and more?

i'd love to see that!

Why would you buy a phase 90 when you can have the much more versatile phase 100?
I changed my 90 to 100 so I had both in my room that day and decieded to make this video)

I've tried to use both phasers in the same time and sound gets little bit insane but intresting.
unfortunatly, I never tried 45 phaser )

The 100 seems much brighter and maybe thinner?...the 90 seems warmer and fuller?
GRockBlues yes, 100 is brighter but to me it's sound better when you play in the mix
Individualy =) I like to use it before overdrive for example
Nice tone
Thank you!
What of the 4 settings on the 100 is similar to the 90?
All 4 settings sound different from 90s
Is that a gin Blossoms riff?
GRockBlues just improvisation)
I was thinking the same thing
very close to Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reaper"
it is remind me silent hill 2!
It reminds me of Rick Astley.
Did yoy try them on the fx loop of the amp? Wich one is best?
No, I didn't)
90
Phaser true P90 dure no doubt
This phase 90 is distorted sound
Any one had this issue?
Or its just problem with my pedal
Yeah, the same )

It's known to clip if the signal is hot

this is the wrong way to play them, both on and in serie is the way to go :)
his English is too strong habit made me uncomfortable.
