What a creative project! I appreciate how you simplify some pretty complicated steps - it becomes much less intimidating!

How fantastic! Love that you “simplified” the measuring. Thank you for that. I love Weavers suede.

Chuck, great video as always. One thing that I would mention. As someone who spent many years working in the supply chain field. It would be really great if holiday item (not just Christmas) videos came out several weeks or months earlier. Then we as leather crafters would have more time make, and sell them this year. For instance if a theater group wanted these hats, its too late, as they would already be performing their Christmas shows. Or if I were planning 10 purses to sell as Valentines day items. I would need to already be ordering materials and getting going on making them. I have mentioned this on a couple other channels. Maybe you can get the ball rolling.

I love this channel. All the videos have great instructions and are easy to follow. It really makes leatherwork approachable, especially to those who don't have fancy tools. Keep up the great work.

Looks great! Would love to see plans for a red Santa hat with white/off-white rabbit skin/fur brim! it would obviously have to be considerably taller, so it hangs lower!

I use a rotary knife on suede. Cuts really easily every time. If you’re feeling flash you could even get an electric rotary knife. Amazon have quite a good selection.

Yep. A rotary knives works wonders. And you don't have to worry about pliable, stretchy leathers binding up and running a cut. I use a rotary on nearly all 3oz and thinner

Have you ever made a "how to make Chaps" video? I looked but couldn't find it. Would love a link if you have or I think it would be a great idea for a future video!

No, we do not have such a video! But this is a great suggestion, we will add it to our list of potential future project videos! Thank you :)
