Coach Anthony I
Thank you bro
Jamal looking like he got his name on one of the 2020 Olympic medals
Fax!
my boy david finna beat his ass
@@apomtaylor8054 is he good??
This aged like old milk
Mohamed Hamdane what happened?
I have always tried to finish with the double jab ....I never realized the "put you back in position" theory. It makes so much sense. I've been using double jab because it also allows you to reposition yourself to take a new angle while distracting your opponent. (Hiding your footwork). Great video. I love running back the old school and basics. Thank you CA!
Yes! Was thinking the same thing about being put back in position
got to give a shout out to this guy...he is a bloody excellent trainer.
Coach, I'm a 62 year old as of yesterday. I have been an very active person most of my life. I played Football, wrestling, track, and martial arts. I continue to workout. But need a new challenge. I plan to use your videos as that new challenge. This great during this time of COVID-19.
The sweet science of boxing right chere!! This Homie droppin' jewels.
My greatest respect for your knowledge and fluid explanation.
Subscribed. Great vid. Used to box in my 20’s. Wasn’t that great, but I learned enough to handle myself much better than the average guy. In my 40’s now with two boys. Trying to teach them. Everything is rusty and dusty, but I have the feeling you will help. No boxing gyms where we live. Middle of no where. I’ll have to do. Thank you.
I really like the simple roll out off the straight right. I basically only finished with hook-roll outs and jabs, but I think its always good to simplify things. One finish I picked up from Floyd was straight right shoulder roll, but it is really only useful when you can keep the guy in front or outside your jab. I like that straight right roll out if the guy starts to get the inside angle on you.
I love your channel. I am surprised I haven't found this channel sooner. Your tag, "Boxing" makes me smile.
I started boxing in 1989 by a Russian who escaped the USSR. Very different style, but all good.
I have to say my trainer back in the day use to always tell me to jab your way in and always jab your way out. I never heard him say end with a hook only if I was going to spin out if harm's way after. This is solid advice when boxing. It will save yo ass! Remember a fighters natural instinct is to respond back in kind when you hit him. So move out of harm's way when you let your hands go. So the jab is a great way to use that exit strategy!
Hi Coach Anthony. You teach quality boxing skills and the fact that you carefully breakdown techniques for people to understand how and why you should do it, makes you an exceptional Coach. I've learnt so much from you, and I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
Coach, I'm from Bangalore, India and I don't get anything close to what you teach. Your videos is crossing boundaries and helping someone who is in his flat wanting to practice more boxing.
Coach Anthony...... You definitely explain the importance of the job and the rollout in the hook we need more thorough trainers like yourself keep up the good work bro
Start with a jab, end with a jab, bring em back everytime, stay on balance and you can't go wrong.
Then a roll out
Coach, I'm from Taiwan. I'm so thankful for you and your boxing tips, you help me a lot, thank you so much
"we're in close throws a right hook to the body...Woot!"
Awesome lesson
Wow... I wish Coach Anthony was my boxing coach. This brotha is an amazing Teacher. I love the way he breaks things down in a way that is so easy to understand 🥊🥊🥊.
The intro is straight FIRE
Seriously though
That intro's got me REAL hype right now! Ooooo-WEE!!
It's all about rhythm. That's why i love boxing and other pattern based martial arts. It's not just about one two THREE. It's about the one coming around again and being able to stay on beat.
Congrats on qualifying 🙌📈
Haven’t seen one of your vids in a while. Trained by 1997 amateur boxer of the year, and this was the bread and butter that I learned from him, until it is just second nature like your fighter in the vid. I’m 40, but this vid motivates me to go sharpen my skills again!
Im happy AF for this kid i wish him a successful Olympics. Always remember to invest your money wisely. Buy a house as soon as possible Jamar.
I hope you read this bro.
Throwing the triple jab "creating new opportunities"
Exactly
Man this kids punched and guard is super tight. Coach is an OG. I really need to train real straight western boxing like this for awhile. Get away from my comfort zone of kickboxing...
good stuff old school tactics never go out the foundation
havoc 99 lomachenko is literally all old school lol niggas who don’t know think he created something
What is the main difference in stance and punching technique between old school and new school?
@Nikolaij Brouiller Footwork nor stance is new school look at Sugar Ray Robinson or Willie pep.
I'm a coach and learnt from old school trainers, they always emphasised finishing with the left, hook or jab.
I'm a coach to from Texas and yea it's important to finish with hook are double jabs or triple, this is great coahing at it's best
I was told any time you throw a 2/straight right you bring the jab behind or the double jab...
@@mookeychase0907 do mean a 2 straight right like a double right then bring jab or double jab?? Me when I train a fighter I always starts with a jab and finish with either hook or double triple jabs if I'm tranning them on mits.
@@chinosolomon4746 I put two then strait for anybody that may not know what a two is. Yeah,he told us any time you throw a strait right follow it with a double jab, then pivot, step back step around over etc...now if you throwin a combo 1,2,3 or 2,5 or whatever then throw that, but if you throwin a single 2 or the 2 behind a 1 then finish with the jab, or double it up then get out or step back and square back up whatever you feel like doin.
@@mookeychase0907 that's right, what I try to do is train my fighters to, if they has to step back don't over do the stepping back, could get off balance so I tell them they can move back three steps back and pilot out, teach them to counter punch going back and watch what shoulders are thrown out to move in that directions with hands up,like say if you going back to counter he's attack, but say if he do he's twos and throw hook then roll on that side. Some fighters has a habit of leaning in two much, that's why going back can be a great thing to turn into a counter puncher.
I'm old school too and I always preferred finishing a combination with a jab. Not only does it put you in a position to move your feet better laterally, but it also sets you up for another combination. The jab is the most important punch in boxing. It's a shame that some fighters, even great ones, don't throw it more than they should. They would be even better if they did. Glad to see that it's not an MMA trainer teaching boxing here, btw.
Thank you coach! Never thought of the double/Triple jab to finish to get you back into position. I just did it to make sure I dont get tagged after I finish my combos. Triple jab my 2nd favorite exit after combos next to the push step to out/to the side.
True spit.. Too many trainers focus on "new school" techniques and throw out old school fundamentals.
Aight... just found my new favorite boxing channel!
Jamal kinda looks like UCLA Russell Westbrook.
daniel salas I was thinking the same thing lmao
lamar jackson
I was looking for this comment before I said the same thing 😂😂😂 and it didn't take long to find it lol
daniel salas nah jalen ramsey
Lmao I though of all three that have been mentioned here, Ramsey, Westbrook and Jackson
Finishing with the left hand great way to bring you back into proper balance. Good video well explained .
He's looking slick as fuck... He got some medals coming his way
3:03 that peripheral vision lol. Great lesson thank you 🙏
Congratulations young Man on qualifying for the Olympics!🥇🥇🥇
No school like Old school. Tyson loved to study old film especially Jack Dempsey fights. Great content.
Coach A Makes a great point.. You don't HAVE to finish a combo this way but you can to keep your opponent guessing. 👊👌
Also Jamar looking very sharp. Goodluck mate
i was like wow... definitely one of the best boxing tutorial I ever watch.. very technical and interesting
Shit gets deep when you think about all of the variables that techniques like this nullifies as an option against you. It gets even deeper when you add kicks and shooting at your legs.
good work and detailed explanation. I really liked
On of the best boxing coach out here on UA-cam training advance pros thank you for the content👍
Let's go Jamal!! Go rep our country bro! Bring the gold home!
Love the way the guy follows through with his punch, so smooth and elegant
Thank you so much coach! I have purchased the extra content that I can afford, look forward to checking out your work on creating angles. But honestly over the years I think I've learnt more from your free videos than I have in the gym. Thanks again
Boy's movement is excellent. Looks like he has some power behind those shots too.
I love Boxing and Kickboxing So Damn Much! Great Vid! Old Skool' is the ONLY SCHOOL!
Great teamwork!
Nice to see chris tucker doing well in boxing
This instruction. Is golden definitely gonna make sure it’s in my shadow boxing from here on out
Dude thanks for that! Your demos are really spot on for my teachings I'm an ex Muay Thai fighter whith a few boxing fights too! And I've been teaching boxing to fellas for a few years but now I'm growing as a trainer I need more info and your stuff breaks it down for me just great! So thank U and love from Oz! Cheers
Coach Anthony: As a sports teacher my two cents are: I am not sure if everybody got it, why you are in position after a jab or a left hook, but not into position after a straight right. I got it: after a hook and a jab you end up with angled shoulders, in a way you are supposed to stand, while you end up with squared shoulders after finishing the right. You explain it at 6:50 but thats late and pretty short.
Wishing all the best to that young man in pursuing his Olympic dreams 🥊🥇
Wow, this is one of your best lessons, Anthony! 👍
Now I'm gonna practice those Jamar's combos, they all hit the spot 👍
Wow, what an excellent teaching acumen. That young man is blessed to have access to this.
Utmost respect to you coach. Your videos are always so easy to follow and they make so much sense. Sending love from Singapore

Am from Uganda
more Love coach Anthony👊...the art of boxing..the sweet science.. master it's art and enjoy the game
Coach A , youve done it again. Not only spitting knowledge but showing us how to implement it. Thank so much for taking the time to spread the love. Are you up in the tristate area?
You get cred for bringing that to the spectrum. My coach used to always (always) specify this. I think it was educational to see it; especially on and with our Olympic champion hopeful. Thanks 2020 and #boxing
Congratulations Jamal. Represent...
Real Good, I hope Jamal brings back Gold He's looking good. Those techniques are ingrained into his muscles, ( Muscle Memory).
My man so proud of you stay focus!

Coach Anthony you the man bro. Love from Australia
i got my first sparring yesterday. Everytime i finished with the 2 and the opponent started attacking, i found my self in arkward situation xD this video is helpful
The first 25 seconds of this video? PURE FUCKING BEAUTY.
im so glad i saw this i always rolled after every single cross and i thought it was a bad habit i needed to stop.
It worked for Andy Ruiz last night. He landed some nice left hooks
Awesome stuff man. All the best for the Olympics will keep a eye out
Outstanding coach.
One of your best videos for sure !
I am just solo training for now and this helps a lot.
Thank´s and I hope the young man wins !
Great video, I love watching a in synch coach and fighter working the pads. I have trouble registering the commands in real time let alone executing the drills. Beautiful stuff👍👌
This got to be some of the best drills I've seen 💯
Cus would be proud of your work Anthony.
I feel like boxing is my only way out. I'm struggling, I need a trainer. The only thing I've done most of my life is fought. I wanna make it count with success. IDK when I'll get my time to shine, but I'm looking to get on my feet
Good video. Starting with my son. Doing some mitt work and getting him started in boxing 🥊
Jamal. I am really looking forward to watching you compete in the olympics. I box a little, not competivily, but enough to reckonize true talent.
Great video as always, sometimes old school just work like a charm. BTW can't wait to see Jamar in the Olympic!
Great coach, into detail and specifics. Explains why and when to use it with creativity, respect 💯
This guy is quality trainer, love the pad work.
Great stuff!
Good shit 2 3 2 off counter punching that coach has it down to a science yeah good chemistry
Thanks I'm teaching my young sons and this stuff is gold! Thanks again.
If you disliked this video your definitely not a fighter at all lol. This was great info 💯
For a second I thought you was Aye Verb lol. But content is awesome. Lovin it. Thanks for the schoolin.
Congrats on qualifying!
This explanation is so right on thank you so much coach! i need to work on these
More guys in the UFC need to keep this in mind. I see many dudes getting knocked out after throwing a right hand. After watching this, I don't think the small gloves are the only reason why.
