I have never heard “the snicklefritz” before. It’s gonna be a big part of my vocabulary from now on.😂
TED, Nick, and Jake, the Von Erich brothers of the Turkey woods! Great job men!
These boys are like the Soggy Bottom Boys of turkey huntin'
Love this video coming out on the night before VT Turkey Season opens.
Same in NY good luck
Good luck our season opens tomorrow morning as well here New York 😊
Mississippi closes
Video was just fine. Don't need to see the heart stop and feathers fly. The whole video well done. The team Work, the pre-Dawn, watching the day come to life and hearing all the birds. The anticipation. There's more to Hunting than just a killing. Thank you again for another good one.
This is the Hunting public not the 20 kills and 20 seconds type video.
Thank you for a reasonable comment. Some of these other comments are whack.
I’ve been out 4 times so far. Two misses of toms under 40 yards and passing on 3 jakes under 30 yards. New shotgun in the shop having trigger adjusted down from 9.75 pounds pull to something around 6pounds. So typical early season struggles for me.
What used to be so easy has become a struggle and I absolutely LOVE it. Seeing and hearing the world wake up makes it all worth it. Another great video boys!
Too bad Ted didn't have a tag. That bird was tearing it up in the background.....Congratulations!
Do it how you do it boys!! Your vids are always top notch in my book!!! Congrats!! Let er bark!
Nick and Ted are a tag team ...
They we're hoodwinked 😂
Waited to watch this till I got my bird here in Nh..... 21 lbs tom yesterday at noon..3 videos to get caught on
Thanks for not saying where you are hunting. Nice job on the filming guys!
Way to go!!! Sounds like you were in turkey heaven!!
Awesome job Nick in Ted 😊 Season opens in the morning here in New York I'm hoping to get one as well 😊
Nicely done!
That’s was an awesome hunt!!!
Great job boys. Glad to see ya'll having luck in my home state. I to hunt Hoosier National but im like an hour north of where you guys are.
Again…… great hunt and strategic planning. I wish we had more hills in Waukesha. I love the cat and mouse challenge more than field edge sitting. I had a great hunt with my daughter this past weekend. We had a tom on our hen decoy for over 40 min…… great footage!
Keep up the great videos!!
Mikey in Waukesha 🦃
Congratulations on your big bird. 👍💪💪🦃
Great video boys!
Gotta love it! Keep it up guys!
Love the content best of luck to you guys

Such a good hunt, loven it.
Got em...yep..bang so quick on that shot. Congrats
Nothing like watching it with you, fellas!
Got to hunt with my wife ,carry my Dads gun ,used slate from my uncles barn roof and sat in my deceased friends watch. ,gobblers uphill and down but never got to shoot ,one of the best openers ever .Cant wait for tomorrow.Hope your doing well
So much fun.
Hey boys great vids as always !! Have to say do miss the measuring of the “longbirds “ another thing I was taught by some older turkey hunters which is really cool is to count the tail fan feathers most have 18 but every once in a while you’ll get get the ol’ 20 feather check it out boys Nicks tail fan looked pretty close check it out and let us know !!! Keep up the great work and thanks for the vids !!!
Where can I listen to Jim’s THP theme songs?? I need them on a Spotify playlist for my morning drives to go hunt!
Great video!
Keep it up! Love the videos
Nick!!!! Quit fidgeting!!!! lol. Congrats gents
Let’s go boys can’t believe I missed yall again In My own state
That’s a pretty bird I like them colors
Congratulations on the bird
Love the honest emotion and excitement. Great hunt!!
Nice shootin’, Tex!
Good job inch worm! Yup you got’em
Is that what’s supposed to happen when you pull the trigger? The past two mornings in a row I had misfires. Congrats Nick!
Yeah boys!!!!!! Nice 👍
Had one gobble in a feild and wouldn’t come crawled and moved 4 times then went back to truck came back called and one from the neighbors ran in and flew the fence
Nice ol' Tom! Yall coulda stayed seated (no talking)and called another up to the same spot. They dont know what that shot is or where it came from, much of the time. My buddy & i have had it happen many times over the years.
Great job on that Tom!
Man Im tellin ya the jakes are on something this year, I keep calling in a pair on my buddy's farm and they sound like longbeards coming through the timber until I see those dinky little beards
Watching this as I'm waiting for first light on VT opening morning
Good hunt in Indiana
Hunting yang selalu luar biasa❤❤
What kind of netting is that your covered up with?
Jake has some seriously good eyes…even when the camera is zoomed in I still can’t see them lol
What camera you using during the night?
Am I the only one that couldn’t hear a turkey drum if he was laying on me? Maybe I’m tone deaf😂
Atta boy Nickster! Congrats on a beautiful bird.
Stay safe and continued good luck.
Cubby
I probably don't understand the hunting apps enough. What was Nick checking on his cell phone when he was in set up?
You won't hear a finer song bird's song than the wood thrush.
I just seen him
Good ole benelli nova popped em
Zack and warbler retired from turkey tour or just 3-4 week vacation cash in …. Boy it been a min since I seen either with a bird …. It been tough hunting the lock down b over soon
Says Midwest maybe I missed it what state are they in?
"Nicks intern" 😂
Where do you guys get that camo netting? Anyone know?
Your local farm supply store might have it. Here in the Midwest Rural King and Walmart have it.
No bugs there?
Wow I Cldnt even see bird through brush must b bad as- shells cut n brush and timber
Good shot, Nick. How's the internet?
How did Nick's intern measure up?
You should put a heart beat monitor on and display it in the corner that would be cool
I second this 😂
Hunted Indiana last year, and had a great time!
you actually did not have him, but a good hunt
Like you guys, and your video's. one word of caution. I've seen several times on your gun hunts you load your gun before you get to the stand. Using your headlamps, and carrying a LOADED FIREARM, is considered hunting with the use of an artificial light. I know 3 guys over the years that have been busted for that. They are good law abiding people who were trying to sneak into the stand. they were just trying to be as quiet as possible. I used to do the same thing, load my weapon at the car. When I heard about the first guy getting pinched I quit doing it and understand why they do that.
On that first bird how did you guys determine it was a jake? I truly emphasize don't go off beard. I took one that was 22lbs with 1 3/8 spurs with a 3" beard. Had a weak(rio) jakey sound to him. When he only 1/4 strut and stopped gobbling that last 100yrds. I knew he was an older bird. No eastern jake acts like a veteran bird. I did tag a super Jake that acted like a 2yo.the yr after and he sounded manly.
Nick's intern... 😂

If you don't have a coffee press , Sterno and a boat.. you ain't a turkey hunter..
First
My animals please
🚁
And again………wait.wait.wait.wait. You guys aren’t even trying anymore when it comes to getting the bird in frame before the shot.
shut up
🤡
Couldn’t see nothing with the dark circle and this video is private.
Might as well just turn the camera on after the kill. Your wasting your time on the pre roll if you don't give it another minute or so for the turkey to come into view of the camera. Cripes enjoy the show a bit; if one or two get away because you waited 30 seconds too long so be it. Unless these are your guys first turkeys then I can understand it.
Someone has never tried filming and hunting and it shows.
I get where he's coming from a lil bit tho as someone who hasn't been able to shoot a bird yet. But also I have tried to film turkeys before and it's very difficult.
The shot isnt the true part of Turkey hunting. Go film in hardwoods for turkeys and let me know how it goes
@@pearceruffin138 True that, never said get a clean shot on film. Just let the turkey be seen before you pull the trigger. 30 or 45 more seconds? Too much to ask? The tom wasn't scared or getting out of there. Personally I don't care if the turkey gets away if the guys let it roll trying for some footage of the tom. I could care less about notching tags, this is a video of a turkey hunt we should at least see the dang turkey. These guys are all good hunters and callers but this is a turkey hunting video and this video could have been much better.
Screw the video get that bird boys hell yaa ! My season starts this saterday may 4th
Awesome video
