BRILLIANT! Drained the machine, removed the pump, removed the pump motor, cleared the blockage, reassembled and re-installed everything, cleaned up the mess and all done within 45 minutes. Did a test and check and all working as it should be again. Just saved myself a lot of $$$$ on a call out and what was a simple fix.
My LG washer and dryer was a gift without instructions, and I didn't know what my errors were and your video was my life saver. Thanks for the help. Shalom
Roy Harrison I have a LG top loader showing the AE Code. There are no leaks what so ever .I have left it full over night no leak in the morning could the sensor be faulty
Thanks for this! I pulled some serious gunk out of our machine. (OE error) I also made 25 cents by finding a quarter that must have been left in someone’s pocket.
As we say at 2:45 PE error is a pressure switch error. This is where the machine cannot identify how much water is in the drum. If the machine starts to fill correctly see this video: ua-cam.com/video/2pIVkAxWSXg/v-deo.html If it does not start filling see this video: ua-cam.com/video/VS48G_cwCXo/v-deo.html
Thanks the problem was the connector on the pressure valve itself. Once this was sorted the washer started working properly. I wouldn't have known where to look without this video.
We are sorry but do not have much information on your machine. As we understand it there is a clutch mechanism between the motor and the drum that may be stuck or damaged. Examine the drive between the two parts to confirm this.
+Geisha Dan Dela Cruz We do not see any LG top loader machines in the UK very often. However I have heard that the door switch may be operated by a magnet that can come off the lid and once off will not activate. May be worth checking if this has happened.
I have an upside down F and E. It will go through half a cycle then stop and display the error code. I don't think it is a D missing a part because it is shaped more like a lower case b. Does this make sense? Thanks for any help.
I have an LG WT R107 top loading solid lid washing machine showing a DE or door error. The lid is closed & nothing stuck under lid & it continues to show the DE error. There is no where to replace a magnet like in the clear lid machines this is a flat metal lid. I can't work out why it is showing DE when the lid is clearly closed. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your video! I hope you can help me out here. I've got a 5 year old LG front loader ( it's the gray set ) and it would not spin the clothes out last night and it popped up the LE code and in the book it say it is the thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. How do I fix this problem?? I know you said it was a Lock code. Any idea on fixing it? Thank you so much for your help!! Cheers!
+Chad Cole LE can be a load error code and if the machine is not overloaded and the drum turns freely by hand the problem may be the sensor on the motor. If this starts to fail it can cause excess current to the motor and a ringing noise. If you hear this noise the sensor is the first part to suspect and replace.
+Chad Cole Sorry we don't currently have a video but if you take the back panel and the rotor off the drum the sensor is at the bottom of the motor where the motor plugs are.
+Chad Cole For the correct price on the part enter your model details in the search box and look for motor sensor. It may be one of these shown on this link: www.espares.co.uk/search?SearchTerm=lg%20motor%20sensor
Hi I have an LG wm1814cw washer. I got an LE code and replaced the strator sensor put the back of the washer together as I took it apart and now when I turn it on the strator makes a high pitch squealing noise and it skips as it tries to spin. Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks. Ok I went ahead and took off the strator cover the strator and unplugged the connections to the sensor, reconnected and attached everything back together; now there seems to be a WOOF coming from the back; could it now be the ball bearings? I had a blanket in the washer when I replaced the sensor and I didn't think that it would hurt anything to leave it in the washer, replace the sensor and finish washing it. Could there have been too much water in the drum as to why the strator was skipping. I did unplug the drain hose and some water came out but not a lot. I am trying to fix this myself instead of having to pay a tech to come out which would be so much more money. Again thanks for any advice you can offer.
Try the machine empty on a spin as a heavy blanket may cause the drum to rotate with a surge as the weight rises and falls. If this works try on a normal load and then see another video: ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
eSpares I actually did that and it sounds rough :( thank you very much. I followed your link and watched the video after it which is how to replace the bearings and after watching the beginning of the video on how to check to see if the bearings need to be replaced I checked the drum from the front seal I did that and it is solid there is no play in the drum and the seal as I push on the drum. I'm going to look at the washer again on Monday when I am off work; It is starting to aggravate me as to why its not working properly. Again thank you for posting very informative and detailed videos. You guys are great.
If there is a motor problem and you have replaced the sensor check the motor winding's are all giving the same resistance values. If this is OK the problem is likely to be the control board.
eSpares I think I am just gonna call a technician; I'm weighing between that or just buy a new washer since the LG I have is over 10 years old. Thanks for all your help.
If your machine is ten years old the bearings could indeed be worn. If you remove the rotor and feel the drum movement on the front lip between seal and lip worn bearings would usually show movement or play. Also when spun it would make either a rumbling noise but could also squeak. If the bearings do need replacing it is a big job but would probably give many years of extra life but it is a big job so you may think it time for a new machine. Good luck.
Hi Jeremie, as we say at 3:00 TE (or tE) is a temperature error. If this occurs immediately suspect the sensor, if it occurs after a while check the water heater element.
winniethewitch10 Disconnect the power and take the back of the machine and check for water in the base of the machine (its like a shallow tray to catch a leak) If water is found drain the base and retry, if water comes back you have a leak. :-(
LG WM2032HW front loader UE error code occurs when it first attempts to spin.but the tub is still full of water. Doesn't spin and doesn't drain. Can I get a UE code when the drain pump is bad or clogged.
+YoJoLo Washington Unusual one this. When the machine has not drained it should not go to spin as the pressure switch will be telling the control board it is not empty. Check if the machine drains from full to empty in under 45 seconds approx. If there is not a drain problem you may have a control board problem. It may not be possible to confirm this without replacing the PCB.
I have the UE error I have adjusted the clothes and added more clothes. still receiving the same code. All clothes are still soaking wet. what should I do?
This is to do with heavy items in the wash load. if you have one or more heavy items in the load it is important for them to layer around the drum or it can cause damage. For more information see another of our videos: ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
Hi guys, I have an LG Washer/Dryer F1403RD that's coming up with the error code dHE, have checked the element and thermostat for continuity and all appears ok. Have also given the fan and ducting a good vacuum but error is still apparent. Problem only occurs on dry cycles. Have fixed problems with the drain/circulation pumps before thanks to your awesome videos. Keep up the good work. :-)
Hi Tony, the fault can be in a couple of areas. The dryer sensor www.espares.co.uk/product/es1556765 is the first part we would replace and quite inexpensive. However it is also possible for this to occur if a heater element is 'breaking down' to earth: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1556715 As we cannot be sure of the cause without checking the heater with a megger when hot it may be worth replacing both at the same time.
eSpares Hi, just changed the thermistor and element and I'm still getting the dHE error, the fan is running fine and I've cleaned out all the ducting. I've chased the blue wire from the element to the board behind the control panel and checked the fuse and connections in this board, all ok. Then I've had the bigger board at the bottom of the unit out and checked the connections and fuse in there and it's all ok. But then when I try it on a dry cycle up comes dHE again. You don't know where the red wire that feeds the element terminates do you? I think this may be the one that is causing the problem. Sorry to be a pain.
Tony Huntriss Another possibility could be the dryer heater element is not being 'regulated'. When the dryer temperature reaches 95 degrees the element should be cycling on and off to maintain this temperature. if there is a control board problem causing the heater to stay on the thermistor will report excess heat and the machine will stop rather than damage the clothing. If you were to monitor the heater or its current and this did not cycle before the machine reported the dHE error it would suggest this may be the problem.Sorry we do not know where the red connector goes but it is likely to be fed from the control board. Try disconnecting the wire and check for continuity to the board connectors.
No, its not that. There is no voltage getting to the element when it enters the dry cycle :-( Have had a look for circuit diagrams online but this is one thing google does not have the answer to. Have also noticed small burnt/split resistor on the PCB. My guess is it's this that's the problem but at £107 I'm going to go the way of the sheep and buy a new unit. Thanks for all your help guys.
Hi Chris, have you checked if there is a hole in the pressure switch hose and confirmed the water is not emptying while filling due to the drain hose set 'too low' ?. For more information watch another video: ua-cam.com/video/2pIVkAxWSXg/v-deo.html
We cannot find any reference to a IH:61 error. if the machine locks the door and starts to fill before the error occurs it may be a motor problem so check or suspect the motor sensor: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1523400 For more information see our diagnosis videos: ua-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/v-deo.html&index=1
My LG TROMM brand front load washers shuts down during 5 different select cycles and displays the FE error message but it works great=during the Speed Wash cycle please help!
At 2:30 we advise the FE error is a filling error, this is where the water has not filled to the correct level in the allowed time. For more information on filling problems see this video: ua-cam.com/video/VS48G_cwCXo/v-deo.html
Hi, I have the LG steam front load washer that is throwing a "check filter not draining" error just before the spin cycle. If I press pause then play it will continue on to the final spin cycle and then throw the code again. I repeat the pause, then play and it will finish off the wash cycle. I've cleaned out the filter and checked the drain hose (watched it drain into the sink). I'm thinking that mechanically the pump is fine but electrically it may not be. Or does this sound like more of a circuit board issue?Any help is appreciated. thanks.
+john desmond It is more likely you have a partial blockage slowing the water due to a sock or small item stuck in the pipe. For more information see our video: ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html
Hi, I have an LC F1247TDS which will not power on. I have tested the socket, not the problem, I have even tried another socket but to no avail! Have you got any advice please Thank you
I'm trying to buy a new washer but all the new washer don't wash right or not enough water. What do you recommend for a family of 7 And will not break easily?
Hi Irish, it sounds like the machine thinks the door is open so it won't start, check the door is correctly closing, reset the machine by turning it off and holding the start/pause button for 5 seconds then plug in back in and try again.
HI, Wud you be able to help me out with troubleshooting an E1 error on my LG Dishwasher......Had a technician replace the pump about 6 months ago but it seems to be faulty again. The technician doesnt seem to want to come back now that i told him i suspect the replacement has conked out. I removed the pump and noticed it was pretty jammed.......so i opened it up and freed it with a little bit of WD40.........but now the error still persists. & i cant hear the pump start off at all :( Any suggestions?!? Looking forward to an early reply.......Thanks.
There may be two possible causes of E1 errors on LG dishwashers. This could be due to water in the base (Flood) but this would normally leave the pump running to empty the cavity. The other cause is problems around the pump, as you think this is no longer running (should run for about ten seconds when a new cycle is started). We suggest you start with a new pump (especially as it was jammed).
Hello eSpares I've been having the error tE. I called someone to come take a look at it and they told me its because I used too much detergent. He ran a few rinse+spin cycles and the problem was fixed. I changed to using the flings. I only use 1 fling per load. I always fill my washer 3/4 or at least 1/2 full. After a couple weeks the error is back. I tried doing the same he did, but nothing. What can I do to fix this? is there a way of super cleaning out the soap residue? or is too much detergent not the error? Whats the error for too much detergent?
+Linda A. On LG washers error TE relates to a temperature error. If the error occurs after 20 minutes of washing check if the water is heating. If no heat check the heater is hot suspect the thermostat. For more information see another of our videos: ua-cam.com/video/Ftm8lDVVw2E/v-deo.html
@espares, many thanks for such a quick reply. Your videos are very helpful. I will watch the link you sent. I don't know if the door is locking, though it does close tight. There is no error code on the machine, only those specific blinking lights. The water does not come on, though it was working fine earlier in the day. The machine is in Thailand, and I can't find the specific model number when I Google. But it's a garden variety direct drive with "True Steam (TM)". Would lime deposits block something and make the lights blink as a type of error code?
If the door can be opened after the cycle is started it is not locked. If the programme cannot be changed after the machine has been started it has accepted the programme. If both of these statements apply then you may need a control board as it should be able to turn the water on or start the drain pump if the lock is OK.
I have the SE error. I have checked all the cables that go to the motor, they all test OK for continuity. This is a belt-driven machine and the motor doesnt look too difficult to take out, what should i look up for?
The error may be listed as an SE error(motor sensor) but this is indicating no motor feedback due to the motor not running?. Check if the motor has brushes as this would be the most likely cause of the problem if the motor is not turning. If it is a brushles motor that does not turn the problem could be the control card.
Thanks for your response! The motor is a 3-phase brushless, i think. I've tested the hall sensor with the machine plugged in and it has voltage between all five pins, on some of them it goes from ~10v to ~0v when rotating the drum manually, on others, it stays at 6-7v no matter what, and on some others, it goes from ~12v to ~2v. I've seen videos of people testing the hall sensor of direct-drive washers, but none testing the older belt-driven sensor. I guess i'll bite the bullet and get the sensor. I've taken the main board out and it seems fine, no charr marks nor blown circuits/caps/etc. It could be the motor, too, i guess... any way to test that ? (it's a 3 cable connection, like the ones in RC planes)
Three phase motors can be constructed it two ways using three or four 'drive' wires. There should be the same resistance values when measuring between any two connections on both but the four wire model will have the additional connection which will measure half the resistance value to the other three wires. We would certainly suggest the next step is to replace the sensor if the motor is showing OK.
Thanks! mine has 3 connections and all of them test 6.8 Ohm to any other two, so i guess that's allright! You guys helped me fix my dishwasher and now you're helping me with the washing machine, haha. Awesome channel and shop!
my washingmechine is filling continusly water at 17 miniute, andthe wateris notdriendout. we stopped the mechine and removed the clothes, water still there, im unable what to do please suggest
+bhaskara kuravi This sounds like the machine may be syphoning the water out when it is rinsing. If the drain hose end is lower than the water in the drum once it starts emptying the water will continue to empty even if switched off. If it is not draining see another of our videos: ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html
I've checked the hoses and filter and drained it - it's STILL showing this code. Sometimes the water doesn't even enter the washer before the code goes off - help!!
Hi, I have an LG machine which went wrong after reaching the rinse cycle (i.e. didn't do a rinse or spin and wouldn't emplty the drum). It then displayed a PE error code which continues even after the machine is switched off, so that I have to switch it off at the plug. It comes on again about 2 secs after the machine is switched on and won't allow me to access any programmes. The filter has been cleaned out and the pump looked at but this has not solved the problem - what should I try now please?
+E lhidwe The most likely cause of the leak may be damage to the tub caused by a coin. Disconnect and take the back of the machine and ensure the drain hose is lifted up. Then pour a kettle of water into the detergent drawer a little at a time until you see water dripping into the base to identify the source.
That sounds like you have a segment missing and it is trying to show dE. Check the door lock and watch what happens on a cycle when the error occurs as this may be more useful if the error is not clear. Also check out our diagnosis videos if the door lock looks OK: ua-cam.com/play/PLZopaZU-UQSHj1noiwEJ99JjXWcEcSAbZ.html
tE? Water temp error. Water Temp Sensor not giving correct temperature reading. Check connections or then replace WATER SENSOR. See 3 minutes on video. You probably have this already solved since it's 2 months ago. But I just got this error. Other videos say THERMISTOR, but I am reading that the thermistors rarely fail in LG washers. I'm starting to work on mine now.
I have the OE error. I know it means that something is blocked in it. But this time there is nothing visible. It seems to be something stucked farther in the hoes. Any solution?
+Mats Eddy Jambon If something is stuck between tub and pump see another video to help remove the hose and clear the blockage. ua-cam.com/video/Q7sdgmuxfjE/v-deo.html
Hi, my appliance has an AE sign I read the comments below and it said something about a leak, so i opened the filter like in 1:08 and waster came gushing out So i guess that was not suppose to happen Does this mean i need to get a new washing machine?
+Nadia Maciam If you open the filter any water in the machine will pour out. Even when the machine appears to be empty you will get a cup or two of water. If you have an AE error disconnect the power and remove the back and check for water in the base of the machine. Once emptied the machine should start but if the water returns you have a leak.
Hi, I've got an LG WG-12080 TDS direct drive washing machine (10 kg) that powers up, but won't actually start. The "Start/Pause" button blinks, and the "Silent Mode" and "Easy Care" points on the dial (roughly the 4 and 10 o'clock positions, respectively, on the dial) appear to blink, too. The prior laundry load worked fine. I have tried the two-button combination for child lock, I have turned power on and off several times, unplugged the power (and held "Start/Pause" for five seconds while the power is off to try to effect a reset, jiggled the door and tried to press it firmly in various ways to ensure it is correctly closed, and I have emptied the drain hose and the drain filter (which had a few items trapped). I have checked the weight of the items in the tumbler to ensure they aren't too heavy (they are already wet, however, prior to putting in the tumbler). I have searched an online product manual for similar LG models and see no reference to these blinking lights. Any idea what this signifies?
We do not have fault codes listed for this machine so lets try a different method. Does the door lock, does it start filling or if spin is selected does it start the pump to empty water. Also have a look at another video as this may give clues were to look: ua-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/v-deo.html
Check the handle is not loose and broken, if it is see another video: ua-cam.com/video/s-_x2tSmd0A/v-deo.html There can be two general reasons why a door will not open. Early machines had a thermal door lock which would remain locked for about two minutes after a cycle, if your machine has one of thes unplug and wait to retry. IF still stuck give a 'firm' thump on the door near the handle and it may shock loose.#Later machines have a solenoid door lock that makes a loud click when starting or stopping the programme. If you have this type again thump the door as you repeatedly try opening. Once opened replace the lock if it reoccurs.
Hi PRAMUKH SEVA, this is not a simple fix as it can be more than one thing, error code CE refers to the machine detected a current error which is related to either the motor or the board, start by checking for a loose connection on the motor and the board, unplug the machine for at least 30 seconds to try to reset the board but be prepared as it may be the board at fault.
I have an LG top load and it runs through the entire wash cycle and drains fine throughout but during the final 'rinse' and 'drain' for some reason it does not drain and it spins very slowly. LG gave me 2 very expensive options for repairs, each of which I decided against since the machine was purchased in July 2012. Can you help? Is it the pump even though it drains throughout the wash cycle? TNX
Hi Michael, it may be worth doing a few checks first before suspecting the pump. Watch the machine as it prepares to spin as it drains the water. The pump should run for about thirty seconds and then the noise should change when the water has gone. If the noise does not change you may have a restriction slowing the higher rinse level and the pump may time out. For more information see our video: ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html also see another video: ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
+Michelle Solis The problem is likely to be with the mixture of clothes causing unbalance. For more information see another video: ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
Hi Ahmed, E2 is an Auto-stop protection error that has been detected by a sensor, depending on your model you will have to test all the sensors to determine which one has failed.
Water keeps draining from a plastic piece that appears to be a back flow for the pump but the error I get is IE not a pump error. Can anyone tell me why the water is coming out here? Is there supposed to be a cap on this hole that I have lost?
Hi Michelle, The Tcl error indicates that it's time to run the Tub Clean cycle. Empty the tub, add a diluted solution of 1/4 cup bleach to 1 qt. water to the tub, and select the Tub Clean cycle. To skip the Tub Clean cycle when alerted, press the cycle selector buttons. The message will continue to appear for a few more wash cycles and then will disappear until the next scheduled tub clean.
Thank you for the video, it was very plain to understand. I have an LG wm2240c and I'm getting the "te" code. I know it means temperature error but should it stop the washer completely? It will do it randomly throughout the wash cycle. I even set it on the drain and spin cycle and the "te" code will pop up and washer will stop immediately. Why would it test the water temperature when it is supposed to drain and spin? Is there another problem that would cause the code to appear?
+M Nichols The TE error is 'a temperature error' but this can be either the sensor or perhaps more likely in this case a faulty heating element. Sometimes when repairing an appliance if the fault is not permanent you have to start replacing components in that area so if it was an appliance I was repairing I would start by replacing the element. Good luck. :-)
+eSpares I checked the wiring connections by unplugging them and then plugging them back in. Lastly I removed the temperature sensor and even though there was nothing on it I wiped it clean anyway. I also tested it with my multi-meter and the reading showed it was fine. I reinstalled the temp sensor and haven't had a problem with it yet. It's done 5 loads of laundry and a tub clean cycle with no problem. We'll see how it goes from here.
+M Nichols Although the problem may have been just due to a poor connection on the sensor by applying pressure to the connector it may have corrected an intermittent sensor. If the problem re occurs we would suggest to replace the sensor.
+eSpares I will definitely do that, thanks for time and help with this. We've been dealing with the issue for over a year and now hopefully we've moved passed it. Time will tell..
Hi Nelson Error code AE indicates the machine has detected a leak in the base activating the flood protection, you will need to find where the water is coming from and replace the faulty part.
+Bev Lothamer F25 error we believe is a when the control does not know the motor is turning. If the motor is not turning check the motor brushes. If the motor spins briefly to high speed check the Tacho coil on the end of the motor. For more information see our video: ua-cam.com/video/D5Aw7CBEGPI/v-deo.html
After each wash and dry my machine gives the code Cd and door locks but instead off shutting down machine goes though wash cycle but does not dry. One load has been washing for 2 days if I don't interrupt the machine, thanks in advance.
Hi Jose, CD is not an error code but an indicator that the drying cycle has finished. The CD means cool down and will continue to tumble until you stop it and remove the clothes.
I replaced the control board because my machine would not spin....and now it keeps giving me an LE code and I do not know how to fix it...I've tried to reset it but it continues....please help!!
eSpares thank you for the response! I do have both hot and cold hoses but the machine has been in the same place for 8 years. I get no error code. It simply does not switch to cold water wash when you press the button. The light doesn't even go from hot to cold. Almost like a bad switch. Feels like normal when you push it but no response from the switch. Thank you in advance! You guys rock!
Thanks for the model, we are not to familiar with this machine. You have separate control valves operated by the control board. If the machine fills on the rinse with hot water the fault is likely to be due to the control panel.
Hi Sal. OK if you haven't got an error then look to see what is working and when the machine stoops. This video will lead you through how the machine works and when it stops you can then identify the area of the problem: ua-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/v-deo.html
At 2:30 we state that an FE error is indicating a filling problem. Watch this diagnosis video for more information: ua-cam.com/video/VS48G_cwCXo/v-deo.html
Hello, I've found many of your videos extremely helpful, however, my LG Tromm machine dashboard is constantly flickering/flashing all the lights... it will start a wash cycle, but after 3-10 minutes it will stop and all light will start flickering/flashing and the display screen will simply show three "0" "(0 00)"... any adivice is greatly appreciated...
Carlos Andrade We do not recognise the Trom range as we do not think it is available under this reference in the UK. The display on most LG machines would normally show an error as discussed in the video. Ok lets think of this in another way, The machine is filling and washing then stopping. If it washes for the correct time and does not empty the problem is likely to be a drain problem check the pump and see another video: ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html If it shuts down early it is likely to be a heating problem (sound like this) so see another video: ua-cam.com/video/Ftm8lDVVw2E/v-deo.html
Hi, Hema FE relates to water overflow error the drain pump runs constantly when the FE error code is displayed. Check the inlet water valves to see if they shut off the water supply properly after the washer is filled, it is likely to be the inlet valve assembly.
+mahmoud hossein AE is indicating that there is water in the base. This is usually from a leak but could occur if there was a flood and water had reached the bottom of the appliance.
Hi Nino, Error code AE refers to water in the base that has triggered the flood protection device, check the base and if there is water in there you need to determine where the leak is coming from.
This error is saying there may be a problem with the power to the machine, this could be a loose wire on the plug or socket causing the power to dip or a problem with the control board. Check for loose connections on the wiring and if connected with a plug try another device on that supply and see if the power dips on that. If the supply is OK suspect the power PCB.
the model number is WM3001HWA. I was able to recover it a couple of times with a combination of spinning the bucket while holding the start button but I don't remember how to do it anymore. I might have gotten lucky in my previous tries
Check for burnt connections on the door switch as this could cause the power to dip to the control board. Also try on an extension lead or other power point to rule out a problem with the supply connection.
Hi Angel, at 0:44 we explain that CL is the child lock that disables all the controls and to look at the front panel for a symbol of a padlock or child's face between two buttons. By holding the two buttons for five seconds it will turn of the lock and the controls will work again.
+Siham kamel AE is indicating that there is water in the base. This is usually from a leak but could occur if there was a flood and water had reached the bottom of the appliance.
+suzy clayton-jones looks like you couldn't take your eyes off Mat so much you have missed the comments below (lol) on AE. This is likely to be due to water in the base possibly from a leak or flood.
BRILLIANT! Drained the machine, removed the pump, removed the pump motor, cleared the blockage, reassembled and re-installed everything, cleaned up the mess and all done within 45 minutes. LE means that the motor is overloaded or the plastic splines are stripped or the spider bracket that holds the spin basket in position is cracked.
Thanks a lot. You solved my problem. I cleaned the outlet and now it works without any error and beeps. Thanks again

I have a LG top loader showing the AE Code. There are no leaks what so ever .I have left it full over night no leak in the morning could the sensor be faulty
Thanks for this! I pulled some serious gunk out of our machine. (OE error) I also made 25 cents by finding a quarter that must have been left in someone’s pocket.
Hi, thanks for your comment, glad you appreciate our video and found it useful to you.
Thank you for this video it helped me a lot on my LG washer God bless you for this video
Thanks Victor for the great feedback. That has made our day. Well done on your fix!
Thank you this was very helpful saved me a lot of money
Finally! Two buttons.. sheesh, it was stuck locked. Thank you!
+Coppretta57 Our pleasure, glad you have sorted it. :-)
I want to know about the E4 or E0 error onto LG machine especially laundry machine... thanks ///
Hi Nguyen Hoang Quy, can we clarify the error codes as neither one is listed for an LG washing machine.
Thanks for the info. After a repair of the main PCB PSU section, I got an error of PE, which you have described.
As we say at 2:45 PE error is a pressure switch error. This is where the machine cannot identify how much water is in the drum. If the machine starts to fill correctly see this video:
ua-cam.com/video/2pIVkAxWSXg/v-deo.html
If it does not start filling see this video:
ua-cam.com/video/VS48G_cwCXo/v-deo.html
Thanks the problem was the connector on the pressure valve itself. Once this was sorted the washer started working properly. I wouldn't have known where to look without this video.
Hi Michael, glad it is sorted.
Ty very much my friend, We had a Child Lock on machine and I cleared it. Thanks again.
Hi Saood, glad we could help.
Hi I have an LG WT4870CW and I'm getting an E6 Error any help would be much appreciated.
The E6 error is likely to be a clutch error. Check the motor drive to the drum is operating correctly.
How do I go about doing that? 🙏🏽
We are sorry but do not have much information on your machine. As we understand it there is a clutch mechanism between the motor and the drum that may be stuck or damaged. Examine the drive between the two parts to confirm this.
CL error code on LG washer
This is shown on this video at 0:44. Follow the instructions to turn it off.
hi my LG washing diplay dL what its mean.? the lid door is close open over again and again i cannot stop it.please help me thank u
What about AE 88 error in the machine
Thank you so much! You are really good at your job.
Hi Belinda, thank you for your comment! We hope you have been able to fix your error code with help from our video.
It’s very helpfully for me,thank u boss
Hi Pappu, glad we could help.

+eSpares Oh ok. Thank you so much for you fast reply!!! 😀👍🏼 Do you have a video on how to replace the sensor or how to get to it? Thanks!
+Chad Cole Sorry we don't currently have a video but if you take the back panel and the rotor off the drum the sensor is at the bottom of the motor where the motor plugs are.
+eSpares 👍🏼 Sounds good. Thank you so very much!! Do you know roughly how much a new sensor is? Sorry for 15 million questions. Lol.
+Chad Cole For the correct price on the part enter your model details in the search box and look for motor sensor. It may be one of these shown on this link:

If this works try on a normal load and then see another video:
ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
eSpares I actually did that and it sounds rough :( thank you very much.
Good luck.
I have an error code that looks like a lower case t E and the solution in the manual is to unplug the machine and call for service. Any suggestions?
Hi Jeremie, as we say at 3:00 TE (or tE) is a temperature error. If this occurs immediately suspect the sensor, if it occurs after a while check the water heater element.
Help me i am getting U 1 error
ours shows an AE error code indicating a water leak but we cant see one nor know what to do any hints?
winniethewitch10 Disconnect the power and take the back of the machine and check for water in the base of the machine (its like a shallow tray to catch a leak) If water is found drain the base and retry, if water comes back you have a leak. :-(
lg washing machine top loader 9kg turbo drum. how to calibrate before using for the first time?
Hi Abdul, once the transit bolts have been removed most top loader machines should be ready to use as far as we are aware.
There is an error message of a drum symbol at the end of the wash. What is this and how do I rectify the fault? Thank you.
Hi Jariyah, what are your model details as a drum symbol is not listed by LG.
For more information see another of our videos:

However it is also possible for this to occur if a heater element is 'breaking down' to earth: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1556715
As we cannot be sure of the cause without checking the heater with a megger when hot it may be worth replacing both at the same time.
Ok cheers will get them on order :-)
eSpares Hi, just changed the thermistor and element and I'm still getting the dHE error, the fan is running fine and I've cleaned out all the ducting.
I have a PE code and swapped out the sensor and still get the PE code. Checked the hoses for clogs. What else would it be?
Hi Chris, have you checked if there is a hole in the pressure switch hose and confirmed the water is not emptying while filling due to the drain hose set 'too low' ?. For more information watch another video:

My LG WM1814CW is shut of power when drum start turning and showing IH:61 when I press speed+soil and power button. How to fix it?
We cannot find any reference to a IH:61 error. if the machine locks the door and starts to fill before the error occurs it may be a motor problem so check or suspect the motor sensor: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1523400

Very late reply but it means "run tub clean cycle"
My own is showing tcl and if I press d start and stop button is not working pls what is the problem
Hi Murjanatu, Code TCL indicates the machine is ready for a tub clean cycle which helps prevent the buildup of odours in the machine.
What does theerror (EP) refer to ?
Hi, I have an LC F1247TDS which will not power on. I have tested the socket, not the problem, I have even tried another socket but to no avail!
Have you got any advice please

I'm trying to buy a new washer but all the new washer don't wash right or not enough water. What do you recommend for a family of 7 And will not break easily?
There are a number that we would recommend for larger quality machines like LG, Bosch or Samsung . It may be worth checking out their reviews .
Hi can you help me because
My start button is just only blinking i already plug unplug what will i do ?
Awesome channel and shop!

hi
please I want know the problem with de code for LG fuzzy logic washing machine?
Hi Mohammed, we cover this at 1:31 it is likely to be a door lock error.
Thank you for answer
so I have to change sensor door, or what I have to do ?
To replace a door lock see the following video: ua-cam.com/video/fC6mWyw8lXA/v-deo.html

my washingmechine is filling continusly water at 17 miniute, andthe wateris notdriendout. we stopped the mechine and removed the clothes, water still there, im unable what to do please suggest
+bhaskara kuravi This sounds like the machine may be syphoning the water out when it is rinsing. If the drain hose end is lower than the water in the drum once it starts emptying the water will continue to empty even if switched off. If it is not draining see another of our videos:
ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html

Hi , my LG washing machine has a DE error code I checked the door lock and replace it but the problem still persist what should i do please
What is your model number Tabah?.
The filter has been cleaned out and the pump looked at but this has not solved the problem - what should I try now please?
tigerupert Have a look at another video as this may help identify your drain problem: ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html
eSpares I also have AE error D1484BF and found water in the base. Can you give possible sources of the leak? thanks
+E lhidwe The most likely cause of the leak may be damage to the tub caused by a coin. Disconnect and take the back of the machine and ensure the drain hose is lifted up. Then pour a kettle of water into the detergent drawer a little at a time until you see water dripping into the base to identify the source.
I have a upside down F and right side up E on my model WM2240C. Do you know what that one is? Thank you
That sounds like you have a segment missing and it is trying to show dE.
Check the door lock and watch what happens on a cycle when the error occurs as this may be more useful if the error is not clear. Also check out our diagnosis videos if the door lock looks OK:

Hi Jane, thanks for your input, sensors do fail and check their connections are not damaged, contaminated or broken.
Good luck.
Thanks for this. Super clear and helpful!
Hi Temporary Truth, thank you for your post and glad you enjoyed the video.

What is U6 on my washer?
Hi, my appliance has an AE sign
I read the comments below and it said something about a leak, so i opened the filter like in 1:08 and waster came gushing out
So i guess that was not suppose to happen
Does this mean i need to get a new washing machine?
Also have a look at another video as this may give clues were to look:
ua-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/v-deo.html
My washer is displaying error code de, but the door is locked shut. What to do now?
Check the handle is not loose and broken, if it is see another video:
ua-cam.com/video/s-_x2tSmd0A/v-deo.html
There can be two general reasons why a door will not open.
Thank you so much! The second video was what I needed but was unable to find on my own. Washer is open, laundry on the line and new part ordered. :)
:-)

I have CE error please advice motor checked it is ok
For more information see our video:
ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html also see another video:

Very helpful Thank you
😊
I keep getting the UE code, I've tried multiple adjustments to the load, but can not get it to clear and complete a wash.
+Michelle Solis The problem is likely to be with the mixture of clothes causing unbalance. For more information see another video: ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
My has the te error can you give the part number to that sensor
Hi Alfredo, we cannot give any numbers with out your full model number found on your label around the door opening.
Just replaced broken spyder arm now when I run it goes UE regardless of what I have in the drum. Diagnostic show HI:61
What next?
Cannot find mention of that code, what happens in a normal wash cycle?.
What about E2 error in lg inverter 7kg !?
Hi Ahmed, E2 is an Auto-stop protection error that has been detected by a sensor, depending on your model you will have to test all the sensors to determine which one has failed.
our maching machine is lg inverter and it's de and ae error and i'm scared to fix it coz what if i get electric :-(
Kamille, make sure you have unplugged the machine before you start so you are safe.
Water keeps draining from a plastic piece that appears to be a back flow for the pump but the error I get is IE not a pump error. Can anyone tell me why the water is coming out here? Is there supposed to be a cap on this hole that I have lost?
What's TcL error mean? I just got that error a couple minutes ago.
Time will tell..

hi dude, i have a problem with my LG WD 10264 TP, and its displaying on it screen DE, please can u help me solve this problem?
+Jeton Balisha If the door is shutting correctly start by replacing the door lock as this is the likely cause of your problem.
Can u tell me the meaning of Error message AE on my top load washing machines? Pls reply asap, urgent! thank u.
Hi Nelson Error code AE indicates the machine has detected a leak in the base activating the flood protection, you will need to find where the water is coming from and replace the faulty part.
great Video
thank You so much Sir
Thanks Naeem. 😊
I have a whirlpool duet front load washer it has error code f25. can someone help me
+Bev Lothamer F25 error we believe is a when the control does not know the motor is turning.
I’ve got a F12 on my LG Maytag can u help?
You sir, my hero! Much obliged!
+Herza Kusuma Glad to help. :-)
I have an LG front loader. It won't switch from hot to cold. Seems to be the switch but not sure.
Does your model have both hot and cold fill hoses?. If you have just moved and connected these round the wrong way it could give this problem.
eSpares thank you for the response!
Without a model number we cannot give any information on this.
eSpares very sorry. Model # WM0642HW
Thanks for the model, we are not to familiar with this machine. You have separate control valves operated by the control board. If the machine fills on the rinse with hot water the fault is likely to be due to the control panel.
thank you for this
Please
my lg washer does not showed any codes
I don't know what is wrong with it
Hi Sal. OK if you haven't got an error then look to see what is working and when the machine stoops. This video will lead you through how the machine works and when it stops you can then identify the area of the problem:

my LG Have FE code is it easy fix ?
At 2:30 we state that an FE error is indicating a filling problem. Watch this diagnosis video for more information:

If it washes for the correct time and does not empty the problem is likely to be a drain problem check the pump and see another video:
ua-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/v-deo.html
If it shuts down early it is likely to be a heating problem (sound like this) so see another video:

My washing machine showing number 55 i cant find out the problem can u help me
Hi Sooraj, number 55 is not listed as an error code on the LG website, can you confirm the model details and what is wrong.
eSpares i find out the problem on my machine. Its on main power switch there is problem with one wire
Hi Sooraj, well done for sorting it.
My lg washer showing up down F and E please advice
Hi, Hema FE relates to water overflow error the drain pump runs constantly when the FE error code is displayed. Check the inlet water valves to see if they shut off the water supply properly after the washer is filled, it is likely to be the inlet valve assembly.
I have one showing CE error
HI Lupo, CE is a motor error. Check the drum turns freely and then suspect the motor sensor first.
+eSpares Thank u for your quick respond
😊
+eSpares Speed sensor.....fixed, thank for the help
Thanks for the comments, remember to 'like’ the video if you enjoyed it or it helped.👍

+Mania's Man If this is a washing machine check the water is filling correctly. If it takes more than a minute or so then the machine will time out.

i have error AE ,,what mean ??
+mahmoud hossein AE is indicating that there is water in the base. This is usually from a leak but could occur if there was a flood and water had reached the bottom of the appliance.
thanks ,,i will check
+mahmoud hossein :-)
thank you
😊
I have an E6 error. What does that mean?
We believe on some models this is a motor drive problem. What is your model number?.
WT1201CV
Can someone.help.me.with error code AE how to.resolve on.LG
Hi Nino, Error code AE refers to water in the base that has triggered the flood protection device, check the base and if there is water in there you need to determine where the leak is coming from.
I get a P:F error which means Power failure, can you tell me how to recover from it? Thank you
This error is saying there may be a problem with the power to the machine, this could be a loose wire on the plug or socket causing the power to dip or a problem with the control board. Check for loose connections on the wiring and if connected with a plug try another device on that supply and see if the power dips on that. If the supply is OK suspect the power PCB.
it is probably a bad power PCB. Is this different from the control board? My connections to the machine are solid.
I appreciate your response.
What is the full model number of your appliance?.
the model number is WM3001HWA. I was able to recover it a couple of times with a combination of spinning the bucket while holding the start button but I don't remember how to do it anymore. I might have gotten lucky in my previous tries
Check for burnt connections on the door switch as this could cause the power to dip to the control board. Also try on an extension lead or other power point to rule out a problem with the supply connection.
i have a CL code. how to fix it?
Hi Angel, at 0:44 we explain that CL is the child lock that disables all the controls and to look at the front panel for a symbol of a padlock or child's face between two buttons. By holding the two buttons for five seconds it will turn of the lock and the controls will work again.
How about U4?
what is meant by AE?
+Siham kamel AE is indicating that there is water in the base. This is usually from a leak but could occur if there was a flood and water had reached the bottom of the appliance.
my washer displays ue I don't know what to do?
Hi Clarah, UE is an unbalanced load (something heavy in the wash?) . For more details see our video:
ua-cam.com/video/uKBy-9NEF5A/v-deo.html
sadly no 'AE' information but what a lovely man hubba hubba
+suzy clayton-jones looks like you couldn't take your eyes off Mat so much you have missed the comments below (lol) on AE. This is likely to be due to water in the base possibly from a leak or flood.
