Man, my cymbal bags are truly ancient. I have two Zildjian-branded nylon bags with leather bottoms from the late 1980s when I had an endorsement with them. They are literally filled with 85lbs of cymbals each in their little plastic bags as these cymbal bags have no dividers. They pretty much don't go anywhere. but are "ok" for storage. My main bag that I take to the studio is a H&B Tuxedo bag, which has dividers and is built like a tank. Its from around 1991 and looks literally brand new in spite of all the travel its had. I have three Mono guitar and bass bags and absolutely LOVE them. Its pretty amazing the innovation that has happened for something as simple as drum cases... I would totally love moving to a Mono cymbal and snare bag for my session work. They just have great features and based on my guitar bags, no question they will take a serious beating and protect my gear.
I just started doing benefit gigs to help people raise money for cancer patients and other medical problems and non-profit organizations. Mono cases would really help keep my gear safe while traveling. For now, these have been outdoor events and weather permitting. . . . you always have great videos, keep up the good work.
Im recently healing from covered 19....you guys have made my hospital stay alot easier..for watching all..and almost every sound s... like a drum video really appreciate it to you Cody and everybody else I really have enjoyed the two ply oilfield mylar video. When I do get over this crazy covid-19 sickness. I would like to have the cases to travel to Europe. @@nathanjavaras4221 they said they're going to let me out of here in five days still a little weak but can't wait to sit behind the kit thanks for your input makes me feel better.
Fantastic video. To be able to travel around between gigs, city to city without worrying about cymbals and snare drum being knocked around and damaged is a welcome relief. These Mono cases are so very well thought out. I would love to own a set.
I’m a drummer for a church that has multiple campuses in Miami. Some of these campuses don’t have the best cymbals, so being able to bring my own would be huge for me. Mono’s cases are the most versatile out of any I’ve seen in the market.
I started my band in March, the weekend before the lockdown. A few months ago, after writing all of our songs remotely and in isolation (quarantine style!), we were able to finally get together to practice. My cymbals go from Orange County, CA to Riverside County, CA whenever we have practice. I wanna keep taking them between counties, but in mono style! Eventually, when gigging is a thing again, I want to take my cymbals to some killer gigs. As a side note, I wanna take my cymbals to the next level, by that I mean my playing and in transport!
I want to take my cymbals back home to PA to show my mom just how much I've learned and grown since she bought me my first drum kit for Christmas as a kid
And something else... I LOVE product review videos. The closest music store to me is an hour away. The closest drum shop is nigh on two hours. Seeing cool products reviewed is a blessing. Using a double pedal bag for part pedal/part percussion is a great idea! The separate pouch for the other pedal 1/2 is ingenious.
I hope to continue traveling all over the US and carry my cymbals across the globe. I'm so glad they make a 24" now. I looked about a year ago and couldn't find a Mono 24" cymbal case to protect my 60s Avedus. Love that pedal case too, that's perfect!
Yo, thanks to mono for the shot. I have to hit the local studio a couple times a week, so a nice case would be incredibly helpful. Impressed with the snare bag, as well. Road, maybe next year. Also, thanks @soundslikeadrum you've been a big help with my tuning and understanding the drum as a melodic instrument.
Well, I'm going to a music school in Berlin. That means moving to Europe with my cymbals, so I can gig and perform over there. I actually just bought the ash stick bag, I saw your previous video and fell in love with it. It looks and feels like it will be by my side for ever, that's why I made the investment.
I would use the cymbal case to and from live gigs, studio gigs, and band rehearsals. Keeping extra drumheads in the cymbal case is a great idea. Thank you. I always keep my extra snare head in my snare case.
I want to take my cymbals everywhere! I want to take them to recording studios, pubs, theatres, the street, the subway or just wherever I can play with my band!
Well, I'll go to my practice room with my favourite cymbals. I'm gonna gigging with my band around Europe with a little van, so I'd need a rock solid case for my fragile cymbals! I saw your videos about Mono and they are just fantastic cases!
With the pandemic cutting down indoor gigs, and the weather cooling down from a scorching summer, I have found myself traveling to various outdoor spots to play with friends. Something that never really occurred to me before the social distancing. Would LOVE to transport gear in any of the MONO cases!
I'd love to take my cymbals to a gig, or a recording session, or even a rehearsal, but at this point, if I could pack them up in this beautiful mono cymbal bag and take them upstairs out of the basement where they've lived for the last 6 months, that would be an impressive trip.
I want to take my cymbals to as many places as possible in a Mono bag. However, the first place the Mono bag would take them is to Northern Michigan for a large outdoor festival gig, once the pandemic subsides. Great video, as always!!
I want to be able to take MY cymbals to practice. When you have unique cymbals that really make your sound stand out, its nice to have them every place you play.
Was supposed to take my cymbals around Eastern Europe this Spring but due to an unexpected situation will only be moving them around studios and gigs here in Finland. Thanks for the video once again dudes!
Whenever shows get back underway, i am planning on taking my cymbals to the first place that books the band, and then keep rolling on down the road from there!
I would take my cymbals to Reno Nevada. My wife was just offered a wonderful job out there. It’s a hard move for us, being so far from all of our family, but it’s going to be a great thing for us as newlyweds. Im going to hit the ground running to get as many gigs as I can out there! 🤘🏼
I want to go home. Every time I walk down those basement stairs, I smile. From brain numbing practice, to high stakes studio tracking, to tour prep. No matter the circumstance, I love every opportunity I get to play. If you're asking where I'd take my breakables? To track in Nashville, to tour the east coast, and to crusty basements for another week's band practice.
That snare case is what I need in order to not having to buy a lot of different ones. I mean it's more on the expensive side, yes, but the fact that you can use it for more than only some specific size snare, makes it all worth it. As for the cymbals. Most of us just want to be able to bring our cymbals anywhere for at least a regular gig. I've been doing some rehearsals, so at least for now that's where I'd take them. In the future? EVERYWHERE I go play!
Of course I would love to take my cymbals in every gig that I'll be playing. The Mono cymbal case will help me do it with style and proper functionality. I'll even be proud to have these super nice Mono cases be seen onstage than have it stacked somewhere backstage.
I want to see my drummer son play locally with the 5 bands he is part of that are locked down due to Covid-19. I can’t wait to be in a club again seeming the joy drumming brings to his face.
I just got my first acoustic kit in the last month and I've been moving it all in my car when I go to play on the edge of town, but I eventually want to play gigs for restaurants in town or for personal recording wherever I might go
Id like to take a mono case to my next gig and show it off. Im always getting questions on what im using, and this stylish cymbal bag would be great talking point to get more people interested in MONO bags!
I'd love to take my cymbals to gig but honestly at this point I'd be thrilled to just take them to rehearsals! I have the mono snare case and it seems very solid for how surprisingly light it is. The extra pads sold me since I'm using it for a 13" snare.
I told myself as a little kid that one day I’d be up on stage at Madison Square Garden. I’ll need a great cymbal bag to get my gear there safely! Also, rest in peace Eddie Van Halen. It’s all thanks to him that my interest in music it skyrocketed!
I'm a single kick guy, but that double pedal bag would be great for bringing a backup pedal as well. Also I want to take me cymbals to the studio to record with my friends.
I attend a jazz school in switzerland and have to carry my cymbals each day from home to school, by using my bike and a cheap thomann case. Having the shoulder straps and something sturdier would really help, even if I managed to make it work without all of that.
Right now in times of Corona they would definitely end up on my back traveling through Switzerland doing some open air gigs on the streets of Zurich, Bern... :)
I would love to be able to take my cymbals with me to South Africa to play some township and afrobeat music with local musicians. The sounds are so colourful. I became enamoured with that sound when I first heard Paul Simon's Graceland record. It is an incongruent desire for someone who plays so much death metal as I do. Cheers for the review guys.
I would love to take my cymbals in a super awesome Mono case to every gig with my new band so I would always know that they’re comfortable and cozy in there and will arrive unscathed and in style!
Where do I want to take my cymbals...I’ve been lucky enough to play some very small gigs (outside, social distancing of course!). So many folks have said how much they’ve missed live music. It’s been lovely to bring good vibes and live music to a few neighbourhoods!😊

Plz make tom and bass drum cases in bop sizes!!!!! I looooooove my mono snare case. Use it all the time, even for flying. Mine doubles as a weekend bag too!

Bought a Protection Racket snare case for my Benny Greb beech snare because: 1. They had the closest size to the size of the snare 2. The logo reminded me of Benny Greb :)
I can’t wait to to take my cymbals on the first tour with my band and one day I hope we can go to Spain 😍 mono is hardly retailed here in New Zealand, it’d be awesome if they sent some stuff to our music shops
Hauling my cymbals too and from church gigs would be so much easier with one of those cases. Every other backpack case I’ve had has busted but these look so durable.
I'd be taking my cymbals on the Euro festival tour next summer that was supposed t be this summer. Also on the subsequent tour that will follow in the fall if things can kind of get back to normal. Barring that, I'd just be taking them from my couch to my music room.
I’d really just like to be able to take my cymbals anywhere at this point! I’ve had to move a lot recently, and having a more robust bag would definitely solve a lot of headaches!
I've been saving some money for months and months so I could buy a good sounding set of cymbals, and now that I have it I need to carry it in the safest way possible. I'd like to take my cymbals to my friend's garage so I can play with my him and the rest of the band (and hopefully to some gigs in the near future)!
Well, I want to move my cymbals to weekly big band rehearsals and be sure that my clumsy way of transporting my two rides doesn't result in any of them being destroyed, because I love them :))
I'd like to take my cymbals to a local bar gig in a MONO case very soon, and in the meantime know they're safe and secure at home. I'd also throw in another vote for MONO to make tom and bass drum cases.
hopefully i'll get to one day bring my cymbals home. i currently only get to drum once a week cuz i live in an apartment in the city and i can't afford more than one day at a studio. But man, i'd give anything to finally buy a house off the island and make my own shed.
I want to easily be able to take my cymbals to Churches! I play at a number of Churches in Michigan and not all of them have decent cymbals, so I'd love to be able to take my own cymbals around town :)
I have my first session gig next month and would love to take that cymbal bag on my 500 mile trip to South Carolina. My current cymbal bag has a giant rip along the zipper 😣
Where would I take that beast of a bag? Hopefully to my first gig! I have a full set of Zildjian A series and I’d love to show this dusty old town what I can do with ‘em! 😁
Congratulations to @Botanical Drummer, winner of the 22" Mono Ash Cymbal Case!
It's been 3 years and I've gotta say, as a gigging punk drummer, this case has been AMAZING!

I’d really just like to be able to take my cymbals anywhere at this point! I’ve had to move a lot recently, and having a more robust bag would definitely solve a lot of headaches!
I would like to take the Mono cymbal case to the gigs or playing at church ... music is life for me :)
Well, I´d like to tour with such cymbal bag, as soon as the gigs are back on!
I've been saving some money for months and months so I could buy a good sounding set of cymbals, and now that I have it I need to carry it in the safest way possible. I'd like to take my cymbals to my friend's garage so I can play with my him and the rest of the band (and hopefully to some gigs in the near future)!
My biggest dream is to play a gig on Tokyo. And since I'm in Los Angeles, that's a pretty long trip. So I'd love to know that my cymbals are safe!
Well, I want to move my cymbals to weekly big band rehearsals and be sure that my clumsy way of transporting my two rides doesn't result in any of them being destroyed, because I love them :))
I’d like to take my cymbals straight to the top Jerry!!!! Also, killing brush plus dowel unit, nice fat backbeat from that brush
I’d use the case to take my gear between the various rehearsal spaces and studios I go to here in Glasgow
I would take my Mono 22” Ash Cymbal Case to my rehearsal space, to school and to every gig in the future.
I want to easily be able to take my cymbals to Churches! I play at a number of Churches in Michigan and not all of them have decent cymbals, so I'd love to be able to take my own cymbals around town :)
I would like to take this case to Flåm in Norway! And play some flams in a fjord!
I have my first session gig next month and would love to take that cymbal bag on my 500 mile trip to South Carolina. My current cymbal bag has a giant rip along the zipper 😣
Back to NYC and Tokyo, I miss these cities -.-
I'm using public transport through town whem I'm going for practice. A cymbal bagpack would be great to easily take my cymbals with me every time.
Where would I take that beast of a bag? Hopefully to my first gig! I have a full set of Zildjian A series and I’d love to show this dusty old town what I can do with ‘em! 😁
