ROB!! :-) thanks so much for taking the time and the cool props....!! We really appreciate it. Sending you our best wishes and Cheers from PR HQ in Cornwall UK.....#teamPR
This video just popped up in my feed, and I knew exactly what it was. These bags are great. I tend to use it in conjunction with a cymbal bag since a lot of backline cymbals are trash. I actually put my stick bag, bass drum pedal and the various holders I put on my hi hat stand (iPhone mount, iPad mount, and stick holder). I’ve used it since before you posted this video, and the bag is still in pretty good shape. Perfect bag for a gigging drummer.
Great vid Rob. I’ve been using their bags for over 10 years now. Cymbal bag, drum bags, pedal bag, even a carry on/laptop bag. I gig once a week or more on average with rehearsals sporadically and, honestly, they’re practically as good as new. I’m confident they’ll last me for life. They’re worth every penny. #protectionracket #beatdown
Oh hey, can you do something on recording. Like basics, the bare minimum, and what you might want to upgrade to? Pyle mics have a lot of good reviews but someone said they are not for overheads. I looked up condenser mics and found a cheap podcast one but not so sure it will work
R&om If you put time into it, you can record well on a budget with one mic. One thing about condensers is that you may need phantom power, which will add an extra cost to the price. I don't know too much about the specifics, but I do know that the Shure sm57 is great for any kind of drum application, and will last for years.
I have no affiliation with the following, but if you're looking for a more general musician's bag, I highly recommend the Lugville (just google it). It's more of a guitarist bag (it has a nifty cable management system in the main area), but will allow you to easily carry all of the other bits and bobs that may not fit in the Protection Racket bag.
You are awesome..and you know as much as I do breakables should be considered cymbals too..they should put a section to fit some cymbals..keep them comfortable no..
I bought a Protection Racket cymbal bag because I love their drum bags. I could not be more let down by it. The cymbal divider wires inside all came undone and poke out after just a few gigs and the bag already has ripped..?
I've got all protection racket cases and I love them. That bag is super cool, but I've already got cases for my snare and my pedal so I can't see wanting to spend a couple bills on that one. Super cool though if you're just starting to buy cases or if you play a small piece kit
I know it's an old video but.. Thanks a lot! That's exactly what I was looking for! Only thing I don't like is that there's no place for a pair of drumsticks if I understood correctly..
They should make it bigger and some weels'' so you can put at least a 20''ride a 16''crash''hi'hats and some splashes. After all the price is a LITTLE to much for the things that can be fit in it.That's my opinion.🇵🇷
But you’d also need to bring your other cymbal bag on BYOB gigs. With cymbals working best in a backpack bag (check out Tackle), this just seems like an extra unnecessary backpack for the snare and pedals that can be carried in their usual cases with your free hands.
Very cool. I need to get one of their cymbal bags. Just got a new zildjian one & it already fell apart from January. Zippers & bag lining already going, what’s your favorite cymbal bag? Love my protection racket snare case...
That bag is the bomb man. 👍🏼 Protection Racket stuff is crazy good. This is a great setup for a gig, to have only the one bag. Maybe ‘LA Music’ could be another place here in T.O. to try?
Has anyone ever flown with this as a carry on? I have a few fly dates coming up and I’m afraid that it might just be a hair too big for a carry on. Can anyone share some insight?
I ain’t really down with any of them tuning gadgets, man. Drum Dial, Tune Bot, Tru Tuner, etc. I guess I’m old school. You can get great results with one or two drum keys and a bit of practice. That Tru Tuner got me like 🙄😒 I couldn’t imagine having to fiddle around with that giant ass cheese plate whenever I needed to tune somethin. lol
Awesome vid Rob! I have the 5.5 x 14 soft shell snare case from Protection Racket. It doesn't have an extra component on the bottom for my bass drum pedal nor any pockets for my sticks etc. Also no flap inside for carrying hi-hats. That, I would have liked. But it does carry my 2017 Pearl limited edition 5.5 x 14 maple snare drum in black onyx wrap very nicely! How much did that case cost you?
Cool bag that I have no doubt is well built and would probably serve many drummers well. But...not for me, and probably not for many of us. The problem? For one, no apparent dedicated stick/mallet area and I take a lot of sticks, etc. Main sticks, backups, hot rods, cymbal mallets, and even 2 or 3 other pairs of different sticks just in case I'm in the mood for something else. For another, music or iPad plus a stand (or a stand/table/tube for sticks). Never assume they have what you need. I know they can't put every type of pocket in these bags but the thing is, they already make good cases to carry the stuff this bag carries so FOR ME, I don't really see the point of the bag. But if it works for you, go for it. Thanks for the video, though! Always cool to see new gear as I might change my thinking later on.

HA! Well, THIS was a cool surprise 🙂 Great to hear from y’all! Thanks for reaching out 🤘🏽😃🇨🇦
I bought one after seeing this review, very good product. :)

As much as I appreciate the concept, not having the space to properly fit drumsticks is a big let down.
Great vid Rob.

That's a sick bag man, as soon as I saw that logo (same being on the great cymbal bag they also make) I knew it would be good.
I love my Protection Racket soft drum cases and hardware case. Only the best for my gigging kit!

Great bag! Eliminates snare case and bag for pedal. You can also stuff mics and cables into this bag as well. Not loving the $250 price though...
seems like the perfect bag, awesome review!

Thanks, Rob I just picked up this bag man !!!

the only thing they could have done better for that bag is a wheels and a pull out handle. nice bag tho
I was thinking the same thing!!!

What a fantastic bag!
Thanks for that one! Really digging your channel, much love Muscle Shoals 🥁💥💯
A drummer of a band that is connected to starting a subgenre called "beatdown" uses this.
Very cool. I need to get one of their cymbal bags. Just got a new zildjian one & it already fell apart from January. Zippers & bag lining already going, what’s your favorite cymbal bag? Love my protection racket snare case...
Very helpful man, and needed.Value.

Does anyone know where I can find one of these? I couldn't on amazon. I want one just like this, 6.5 and can fit a double pedal. thanks
Awesome bag 💼 I want it.
Cool bag! Question; where do you put your snare stand?
in your hardware bag with your other stands?
Has anyone ever flown with this as a carry on? I have a few fly dates coming up and I’m afraid that it might just be a hair too big for a carry on. Can anyone share some insight?
Might get one of these, seems like itlll make packing up easier
It’ll be a much appreciated convenience, man. You’ll like it
Thanks Rob! I love this bag, can i ask if a 16 inch crash would fit in there?
Nah. Too big.
Hey Mr. Rob Brown what do you think about the Tru Truner do you think that's a good product to use? What is your thoughts?

It was about $175ish CAD
Thanks man!
Seems great to me Rob!
Peace brother brown that’s cool 😎
it needs a part for laptops
No link for the bag in the description? :(

I'm Akira Jimbo.....
Hey!
YAW 🙂👊🏽
No sticks? No cymabals? No thanks. 🤣👍🏼
that's a big bag...
I like their cases, and this is pretty sweet. The only thing I dislike about their cases is that terrible douchey logo.
the most important breakable space is missing... DRUM STICKS STORAGE!!! No spank you very much!
