What's your go-to day bag? 🤔
My Osprey Hikelite 18 has served me well for a couple of years. Usual Osprey quality which gives me one less thing to worry about 👍
Got any army surplus?
Still have to get one! But looking for a camping/backpacking one. Think I will test a few out at the local outdoor shop
@@Laubasss that’s the best way. Try before you buy if you can 👍
"I only run when I'm being chased" 😆😆 that tickled me.!!
Hehe it’s true though 🤣 Thanks for watching Lee 👍
@4:56 Those 2 short straps should have been placed on the outside of each shoulder strap at about the same height as the top of your soft flasks. They then become the top fastening loops for your trekking poles. The lower ones are the 2 diagonal white straps at the bottom of each shoulder strap. I've just ordered one after watching a few UA-cam videos, looks like I've got a winner...for a change😁.
this backpack is IMPOSSIBLE to find right now. but damn, i want one!
Came for the pack review, stayed for the doggy gear-sniffies. ❤️
Good that you showed yourself closing all the gates. Really important thing for people to remember - don't leave gates open when you're out!
Definitely! Cheers Geoffrey 👍
4:40 those are for securing your trekking poles to the bag
🫵😎
Lowe alpine airzone keeps the sweat right down, i use a trail 30l simple bag but durable and efficient
Just like the dog I wonder where you kept your lunch in this bag. Apart from that, ventilation of your back is the most important feature of a modern backpack for prolonged hikes. It would be on top of my list so this bag is a no for me. But it seems a nice choice for short distance travelling.
Hi bro. If you're curious, u tube is reccomending your video to random people based on interests. Which is why I'm here, and glad it did. good stuff
Ah good to know! Thanks for watching and welcome aboard! Ben 🤓
Great video Ben. According to my running mates the loops are so that you can carry/ store 'running poles' across your chest (horizontally).👍
Ah ok. Now I need to Google what running pole is 🤣
@@DaleyOutdoors surely it’s a walking pole, but faster?😂🤣
@@Bowlin01 soooo why have ‘trekking pole’ holders as well 🤣
@@DaleyOutdoors perhaps they aren’t trekking pole holders. Perhaps (as seen in running videos) some runners use them for routing their drinking bladder tubes?
Congrats on the 2 years mate, great review to, there is one bag I'd like you to have a look at maybe, looking forward to the up an coming wild camps. 👍
Another good review, thanks. Congrats on you two years on UA-cam.
Thanks Emma 🤓
Very attentive dog. Mine is the same. Fascinated with backpacks.
Ruby just wants what's inside it lol
I really like this channel, your calling as a deadpan comedian is upon us..
Haha thanks Denis 🤓
Just love your dog.....!! Thanks for the review, I have just ordered one of these from Aliexpress
Glad it was helpful! 👍
Thanks for recommending this awesome pack.
Great review as norm Ben, that's a bag I'd definitely consider, loving all the little add ons on it, hope you and yours are all well mate 👍👍
Cheers Mick! All good mate. Hope you’re well 👍
i wanna hug your doggo ☺️ labs are the best
Yes they are. But she’s not a lab 😝
Great review ! I’ve just bought this bag thanks to your video / I love fastpacking and fast hiking and this bag is also appreciated by ultralight fast hikers. Thanks again.
2 years on and still going strong hey Ben 😀. I do like your local walks & Kit Reviews. Bag looks good, with plenty of storage. Does it come in any other colours ?
Cheers Justin! Thanks for watching as always mate 👍 it comes in green as well 😎
Love to see more affordable gear!
There’s more to come and plenty in the back catalogue 👌
Hello, does the bag have any pouches/pockets on the inside for organisation
Nope
This was a really great review thanks man. The place you walked about looked stunning.
Much appreciated! Ben 🤓
@@DaleyOutdoors why Ben? lol
@@enfantry6518 because that’s my name???
@@DaleyOutdoors how was I supposed to know lol
@@enfantry6518 because I signed off with it on my original comment… 🤣
Great review ty
I thought the straps were for trekking poles. Great to those camps planned.
Looks like an alright pack that Mr D 👍
delightful walk
the elastic strap might be to secure your camelbak water bladder tube?
Are the mystery loops to secure the top of your trekking poles?
I’m not sure. If they were the bottom of the pile would be sticking out in front rather than behind 🤷♂️
Nice review. Cool looking pack. Crow✌️
Decent looking bag, with plenty of options on the straps for all your kit. That loop you took off, was it the top half of the trekking pole fixing?
Cheers Jason 👍 I’m not sure. I think if they are, due to where the loops were when your poles were in they’d be sticking out in front of you. Probably useful for clearing a path in front of you when running though 😆
Looks decent for the money but as with a lot of stuff on Ali there's always a worry over durability. Hopefully you'll get a lot of use out of it.
Hope so 🤞
Was hoping to use this as a run-commuter pack, do you know if it'll hold a 15" laptop?
Technically yes. No built in sleeve though.
What’s the discrepancy between the materials listed nylon and spandex, and what you said which is a dyneema type ultra high molecular weight fabric.
Two different materials 🤷♂️
I like that Ben, good vid mate
Cheers Tony 👍
Great review, nice looking bag. Seems to have been sold out since you posted though.
It’s just the influence I have 😆 it’s on AliExpress from other sellers of you search for ‘aonijie backpack’ 👍
@@DaleyOutdoors Nearly said this. Can see your channel has grown well since I found you in March. Kudos! Thanks again for the Lanshan 2 tips video. Very useful.
How has it held up?
It was fine for the 3 month I had it for.
Cool backpack
Do you still rate the bag mate? It looks decent. Cheers
Yep. Only used it 4 times on day hikes so far but still loving it. Looking forward to loading it up with summer stuff for a proper test 👍
Intressant!
Sorry as I am not up to par on the hiking terms. What is fastpacking? Is it backpacking (overnight) or day hiking?
AFAIK it’s backpacking but really fast 🏃🏻♂️💨
nice well thought out bag ive been looking at them myself
Yes it seems decent on first impressions. Does all I need and will hopefully last 🤞
4:40 for routing hydration bag hose easier to your mouth?
Ah yes maybe 👍
Hi. Alli express says it can't be shipped to UK. Looks like a great bag tho.
If you search for the name (aonijie) there a few sellers shipping it here. Or follow the link in the video description 👍
@@DaleyOutdoors thanks I'll try that.
Nice review.......
i think those loops are for a chest, map? thats if there was 2 of them?
Ah maybe. Yes there was one on each side.
No compartment for bladder? Thanks
Yes it has. I said so in the video.
Hi there mate. Can you check out the husky fighter 3-4 tent and tell me what your thoughts are on it. I just bought one but its not for hiking its just for me and my nephew to get out and about in. Very little on the internet about it... thankyou for your vids they are quite entertaining.. Ben 🙂
Hi mate. I don’t fancy carrying a 4.8kg tent around TBH… Ben
@@DaleyOutdoors yeah is a bit heavy but its mainly for fall and winter camping. And in the plus side i dont have to carry it far. Off out camping in it tonight mate so hoping its good lol
Hi! Do you think your Lanshan would fit in a side pocket?
Unlikely. Never tried it 🤓
Is the loop which you removed an ice axe holder?
I don’t think so, doesn’t seem strong enough for an axe. I’m not sure a running bag would have axe loops?
Looks like a great Rucksack. I've never used Aliexpress, whats postage like to the UK? I have been put off in the past buying direct from China as I waited well over a month using other companies.
Depends which supplier you choose I think. I’ve had stuff in 4-5 days and some that’s taken 12 weeks!
@@DaleyOutdoors That looks like a great quality bargain, I'd like an Osprey but so expensive.
Looks a decent pack that mate. Not sure what those little bits are for??? 🤔
It’s better than I expected to be fair. Still no idea what they’re for but at least I can say I’ve modded it already 😆
@@DaleyOutdoors 🤣🤣🤣
Bagaimana rasanya kalo dipake lari dgn beban seperti itu? Bisa buatin contoh videonya
No. I don’t have it anymore.
Thanks for the great video. Thinking of purchasing this as a carry-on, do you know the dimensions?
Specs are all linked in the description
Thanks but the link doesn’t provide the dimensions, just weight, functions etc.
@@phillipbrightmore4257 it does. 45 x 30 x 15cm.
Sorry I missed that, but thank you ☺️
@@phillipbrightmore4257 👍
in todays episode .. Ben struggles to open gates ( i don't care that he's doing it one-handed , while holding doggie lead & camera in the other hand ) .. lol
I did my best 🤣
and congrats on 2 years .. onwards & upwards
Its just a knock off clone of the ultimate direction fastpack series it seems. Would be interesting to see how its held up over time...
I’ve only used it a couple of times tbh. It’ll be coming out again in spring/summer so I’ll see how it holds up then 👍
@@DaleyOutdoors just researched the brand more they seem like legit indonesian brand and the ultimate direction packs are made in indonesia so maybe there the knock offs 😂.
hello it is 30 L my if we roll it up less we gain in litter for hikes of 3 4 days it is enough cordially
Sorry you’ve lost me there…
@@DaleyOutdoors for a hike of several days is the bag suitable?
@@kenshinlevgb3538 there’s no way to answer that without knowing what kit you’re taking? I wouldn’t say so big if you’re an ‘ultralighter’ in good weather maybe…
@@DaleyOutdoors thanks you
Will you be doing a halloween camp 😉
No. Too scared 🤣 I’ll be doing a Christmas special though 😉
@@DaleyOutdoors I’m doing a camp in haunted woods 🤪

Stumbled upon it kust yesterday on AliExpress. I'd probably go for a 20 l version, for day hikes and stuff. Mostly because the 20l one has a paded or wider hip belt. How is the Lighttour pad performing? I was looking at it, however that built in pillow is off-putting. I'd like to mention that Naturehike now has an inflatable Ul Insulated pad with claimed R value of 5,8,and i think they have some testing to back it up. I'm considering getting one, I've also posted on reddit and there were a few guys that have one and are satisfied. It's also sold on another website, under the same name as the one you have,Lighttour. (i think it colinsoutdoors or something). Anyways, thank you for the review,i think I'll be getting the 20l one as i already have a 40l backpack so getting a 30l one doesn't make much sense(at least to me).Seems like really good value for money.
I have the Light Tour 5.8R pad to test - haven't taken it out yet. Watch out for the video soon!
@@DaleyOutdoors Thanks, can't wait to watch it👍
@@DaleyOutdoors I also wanted to mention this and the 20l backpack kinda look like they were meant to be copies,or at least that they derive a lot of inspiration from the Fastpack 30 & 20 from Ultimate design.
Any thoughts on this vs the 3F UL backpack you reviewed? I was set on the 3F until I saw this review
Depends what size you need 🤷♂️ the 3F UL is a better size for camping. This is a day bag or summer camp bag.
@@DaleyOutdoors ok thanks 👍
why is your dog on the leash in nature?
Because we were in a field next to a busy road…
£50 is not a particularly cheap backpack. Decathlon have better for cheaper, in my opinion.
It is vs other ‘ultralight’ ones of a similar design, but yea if you’re just looking for a backpack there are loads of cheaper options available.
I particularly like the pockets on the shoulder straps, which is very rare even expensive backpacks
Man, just do the review, what a waist of time...
*waste
What do you think is the maximum load for a rucksack?
Whatever you can comfortably carry 🤷♂️ it varies by person.
@@DaleyOutdoors What was your highest backpacking weight?
@@Vismaiorek 22.7kg
@@DaleyOutdoorsWow, how many beers did you put in there? My back would have broken.
Informative and beneficial video
Thanks!
