Thank you for another informative video. I had not seen this OLFA cutter yet, but I would most definitely use such a tool. Yes OLFA! Design a contractor grade version of this tool.
Great product,it has more control the than utility knife as you say I have a utility knife from Olfa and it's blades seem much sharper and last longer than my Milwaukee. As always, very informative!!
U could glue a bit of melamine on the bottom if u were concerned, I can see that having a lot of uses, first thing that sprung to my mind was wood floor underlay, eliminates any mishaps with a Stanley knife while trying to get a neat cut round the perimeter
Thanks Rob, how about applying a UHMW tape to the base as a sacrificial surface? I agree, wouldn't it be nice to have a nylon or polyethylene replaceable shoe on it?
Yep, i really love it. I agree about the bottom.... I'd like to see a replaceable polycarbonate base plate... but one could also argue that@ the price just replace the whole thing.... Concord, have you checked out Makita's 12v cordless material cutter?? I really love that little thing... bought a xtra blade as back up but haven't needed it yet.. It says it will cut up to quarter inch leather which I have not tried but I would suggest using the 4 amp 12 volt battery for that purpose... Gosh i love cordless stuff.. Makita cordless router is next on the list 😋😋😋
Carpet cutter. I use a cheap I think Harbour freight that uses a straight blade. I use it to cut Tpo roofing materials.when the blade gets dule just grab another
I have one love it, but I didn’t realise it had numbers on it, my numbers are not very visible, so could you please explain to me what each number stands for...I’m guessing it’s the depth of what you are cutting...would this be correct? I’ve had mine for years and never noticed crazy me.
I like it. Is the rotary cutter designed so you can rotate it to have a fresh sharp section or does it rotate while cutting like a pizza cutter? How well does this work on pizza...
Looks like a great product. The only problem I see is that after this device has been out for a few months and the company moves on to another design, that you will not find replacement blades. Or that blades will be far too expensive and hard to find even now.
I'm could be wrong but those look like the rotary blades they have been using for their fabric cutters. My mom has been using them in her sewing/quilting for years. So finding replacement blades isn't going to be an issue.

I’d probably coat the base with Dynaglide teflon rigging tape as a smooth sacrificial/replaceable surface

Looks promising

Is it easy to use on fabric or will the fabric move around inside it?
Just go to Harbor freight and get three of them for the price of that one
Does it cut sheet metal?
Serious? Hell yes it does 😒
Henrik Tossavainen not designed for it so I didn’t try
