There's an expanded visual novel, "Wall Sina, Goodbye" that goes deeper into Annie's character and there's a part when she's thinking about all the friends she lost at Trost and Hannah is listed as one of them.
When you think about it AoT is actually not all that much fighting but instead very, very depressing trust me you will change your mind after you read this:
Eren only has the will to kill titans because he wants to avenge his mother.
Armin has gained severe depression.
Mikasa is a killing machine because she wants to protect eren because he is her only family.
Sasha only eats because its the only thing that relieves stress for her.
Connie only jokes around to cover up about his village.
Levi only keeps to himself because he fears more will die at his command.
Keith Shadis is only strict because several have died at his command and he himself believes that he does not deserve happiness.

What is really sad is that no one who died had a proper burial. No service. No funeral. Nothing. The parents of the ones who died young never go to see there kids again. Some had nothing to live for anymore and some had everything but in the end, both ended up the same way.

Ok can we just take a minute to look at how difficult life has been for Levi? I mean seriously. First he loses Farlon and Isabel. I cried then. Then he lost Petra, Oulou, and those two other guys that I can't remember the names of. I cried again. This is just awful. Levi's life has been something I have had nightmares of. He lost his best friends. Twice. I can't even imagine what that is like. But I mean, after Farlon and Isabel, he seemed to somewhat recover. I mean he is a captain of his own squad now. I think he's come far. But..now he lost his friends, but not only his friends. Petra told her dad how she wanted to marry Levi. She loved him. I think we can all agree that he loved her, but tried not to show it in order to stay focused. As did Petra. I can't even begin to imagine what goes through Levi's head. This is another reason why I *love* Levi. He stays strong for the good of the squad. Imagine trying not to think about people that died that you loved. Levi, I don't know how you do it.

Okay guys, Marco was my favorite as well. Now, I noticed something in the manga and anime. So remember the first time you see Marco and everyone else, in the background, there is a person who looks just like him just without the freckles. Now, when you see the part where Marco is "dead" ya know when Jean finds him. Look at his cheek, there's no freckles. This is true in the manga and anime. Now, I'm not saying this is true but here's my theory: Marco's "Twin" was the one eaten, now that Jean and everyone else thinks that Marco is dead, he joined either the Garrison Regiment or the Military Police. He looks over Jean any moment he can but from a distance to see him grow and learn. Someday, Marco will show up again. The author of the series even said we would see him later in the series. But, don't take my word for it. As I said this is only a theory.

Levi first lost his mother after his uncle trained him to be a thug then left him, he met Farlan and Isabel, then lost them during an expedition. He gets a squad to take care of, Petra, Oluo, Gunther and Eld, but they were killed off by Annie. I don't hate her I just wish she didn't do it. And people aske who went through the most pain. I'm pretty sure everyone agrees with me when I say Levi. But it's as if they only want specific people in Levi's life. I always say that I'd swap my life for someone's in the Survey Corp just to help comfort them all. Eren is like my big brother. People get Jaeger and Jager mixed up all the time. Mikasa looks like my best friend. Armin is another one of my best friends, they look exactly the same even though it's the opposite gender. I'm being told by everyone that I'm like Levi. I look nothing like him, but because I don't smile and think anything in this world is worth smiling for, they think that it's alright to call me Levi instead of Nikita. I have to say though...my life is pretty sad. And I'm not lying when I say I'd swap lives with someone from the Survey Corp.
You sacrificed your heart I did it too I also would swap with someone in this aot universe but if you ask me who I don't I just want to sit with them together on a big table together with you and them and praise memories we made together.

This is so touching😢😥😭😪😞 I mean can we take a moment to appreciate all of those who died in attack on titan. They never got a proper burial or service and were just more deaths.
Spoiler Warning: I love Hange and Levi so so much, and they both have had a tragic life (Levi more so but Hange's still sad). But I think the saddest thing is this: they both lost their PERSON on the same day. Both Erwin and Moblit died on the same day. And even if you don't ship Hange x Moblit or Erwin x Levi you can't deny that they were best friends. Moblit kept Hange safe, they never really acted the same after his death. And Levi had an Ackerbond to Erwin. So yes, they had each other left, but (I love hange and levi as a friendship and a ship) but they weren't their PEOPLE. And that is so sad.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT:
R.I.P Bertolt and Erwin T_T I feel so sorry for Bertolt, he was just an insecure kid who was forced to kill tons of people, or else Zeke would have someone more obedient eat him and become the colossal titan in his place, he bonded with the humans and he was actually capable of genuine kindness but he couldn't turn away from his duty, despite being in panic since the beggining to the moment he died. I loved the fact that the developers took the classic monster and turned him into something worth our sympathy.
And poor Erwin, I still can't believe Levi actually let him die. Also another great character, rational, calculating murderer with inner conflict. Levi felt the weight of the death of the innocent people he sacrificed, the wieght of his responsabilities, his expectations and above all the overwhelming weight of the entire human race's survival and in the end all he desired was fulfilling his dream of going to that basement and discover the titans' misteries. Levi couldn't bear watching a true friend suffer so much and ultimately decided to end his inner torture and finally let him have the rest he deserved (and also because Armin is pretty useful lol).
Well at least Armin got to live... yay... still the fact that he survived a gust of scaldind vapor and a fall of like 80 meters pissed me off a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love Armin but they could at least kept things more realistic and make him endure a less lethal attack. He survived solely because of plot armor.
Also, it would have been nice if Bertolt remembered his friends before he died, especially Annie since he has a crush in her (I was so looking forward to see their relationship develop T_T) wow this comment is colossal.
Weren't his friends names Bertholdt's last words? I found his death rather short and lacking though. Kinda wanted to see more of him.
Nah, right before he died he just screamed "Everyone, please save me!" *gets eaten*. But you're right it was kinda lacking, in fact, although his character had tons of potential, he was a little lacking as a whole. I mean he's the one responsible for all the mess in the story and (arguably) the most dangerous titan of all and yet the developers never took the golden opportunity of developing him enough. It's stated that he grown to care about the others and vice versa, they even said that that the other soldiers invented a game about guessing the weather depending on his weird sleep positions, but they didn't show any interaction between Bertolt and anyone (except Reiner, when Eren asked for his help and later with Ymir)
If they showed Bertolt bonding with the other characters, and more of him dwelling on his remorse and fears (unlike that very brief confession he made to Eren and Ymir on the giant trees) he would have been 100 times more popular among the fanbase.
I just feel like he was too underdeveloped for a main antagonist, hell even Reiner and Annie were more developed and they're no where near as dangerous as him. I hope they explore his character more through Reiner, Zeke and Annie (if she escapes) by remembering him or something.

And i agree. We haven't seen enough of Bertholdt alone. He was always in Reiner's shadow, agreeing with everything he said, but we barely have seen how Bertholdt personally feels about everything. The only moments he was developed in character a bit served just as death flags.
Even though it sure won't happen, i would love to see a plot twist where Bertholdt somehow survived by doing this similar thing Reiner did with his consciousnes when his head was blown off. Would like to see him return like a misfigured and insane monster with only a bit titan power left XD
Can't wait to see Reiner's reaction to Bert's death. Maybe he will change his mind and still go save Annie.

You're right, it was sad that such a powerful titan (and human) never took the reigns and was just follower, but if you think about it that's what makes him unique. Before knowing he was a titan, I bet most people thought that the person who was behind the colossal's form was a huge scary looking guy with a sadistic/angry personality but he was in fact just an innocent boy who was dragged to a place he knew nothing about and forced to start a new life there (after seriously destroying it lol). Who would have guessed that this person was a gentle giant who just wants to go home without hurting anyone. Plus if everyone was strong willed it would have been boring, right? Personality diversety is allways welcome in my book.
Remember when the trio killed Marco? When the titan who ate him approached them Bertolt was like "OH MAH GAWD! Reiner theres a titan incoming. What do we do?" Geez you're the 3rd best in your squad! If you're so scared go and cut his neck, he's not even runing. When I was reading the manga I thought he appeared for the first time when Eren and Armin asked for his help with the 3d gear and then never again lol
Yeah I can't wait to see Reiner's reaction, when it was revealed that he was going bonkers, it was also shown that Bertolt was vital in helping him maintain his sanity, which means that now that he's gone, Reiner will definitely go cray cray for good lol. And maybe BUT JUST MAYBE he'll reveal yaoi feelings XD lol I mean he implied he was bi to Ymir when they were trapped in a castle so...
Also, his personality is very similar to Armin's so it would have been nice to see them interact and I can't wait to see Annie's reaction, did she also harbor feelings for him? Well maybe not cause she never acknowledged his existence once but hey a shipper can dream. Plus in the junior high anime they made, some of the scenes were very similar to scenes in the manga, such as in episode 9 (I'm so sorry, I hope I'm not boring you, its nearly 5 am here but coffee won't let me sleep :( ) when Bertolt couldn't ask Annie out, he and Reiner recreated the scene where he revealed their identity to Eren, so the scenes where he and Annie interacted might happen here to, which means that theory of yours might be true :) maybe that's why his death was so lacking *crosses fingers*

+Wolgreve I totally agree with what you said about Bertholdt being more of a follower making him more unique. But even while being more of a quiet person who's mostly in the background, they could still have shown more stuff of him being alone. I mean Armin used to be kind off a follower of Eren in the beginning but we saw him alone doing things a lot too right? But maybe Armin has his memories now so we can see more of him through those, if he's really dead.
I don't know what to expect from Reiner after this.
I can see Reiner now going both ways actually.
He can either become full soldier and turn against Zeke after finding out that he did nothing to save Bertholdt from Eren and left him there for dead.
Or he might become a total warrior, destroying and killing everything that comes in his way.
In both outcomes he can still try to save Annie, either because she's his last friend left or to use her to further accomplish their warrior mission.
I haven't watched all episodes of Junior High yet. I found it to be rather fan service than anything else.
Neither do i really want Annie and Bertholdt to happen unless they're a trio with Reiner, because i ship Reibert very hard xD
That titan that ate Ilse Langarr was killed by Levi though, so i don't think it was Reiner. Reiner also didn't seem to know Ymir, considering him being surprised she could read those titan language in the castle.

I cant understand what they have been through but people...they mainly focus on Levi and I care for him too but what about erwin? Erwin had to bear people who died for them to get that far on observing the Titans! He bears the weight of those he once saw but now are dead. This has been happening to erwin for many years but he has been through many stuff as well. Just thought I would bring this up to everyone! Thank you for ur effort on this video!!!
