Seeing your home state and towns from an outside perspective is so nice. I love this place and I’m stoked when people visit and experience how beautiful it is here
I used to camp frequently by Takhlakh Lake with my kids in the summer or with my archery hunting buddies in the early season. Lovely place, lovely memories.
@5:26 minutes you were drinking coffee at a Vietnamese owned cornerstone in Kapowsin, Wa...locally known as the "Methamphetamine Capital of the World. Lol...then along the backroad to Eatonville along Kapowisin and Ohop Lakes. I live in Orting the last modern small-town you were in up till here. I see you took Scott Turner Road up into the foothills and mountains where you showed us "The best camp spot ever." Lol...there are a lot of views like that but with full views of Mt Rainier. Yours shows about 1/2 of the mountain the bottom being hidden by a hillside. Anyway...good to watch!!!
Hello Dan, I have enjoyed your videos since the beginning of your journey from Prudhoe Bay Alaska. Great filming and narrating. Very inspiring, as I too just purchased a Surly Bridge Club. In your Washington video #9, I noticed you stayed at Nadia’s house which is just down the road from me, small world in Lyle, Washington. Look forward to your future videos. ~Joel
My goodness, what impressive shots. But what I admire most is when you find the courage to keep recording in the pouring rain. Chapeau!!! Or when you're racing down the mountain and we know you have to go back up to get the camera back! Fantastic, keep it up... We love following you.
Thanks! Been binge watching all episodes. We need (!) to get more information about your equipment, your routines, how you plan routes etc. How you use the gps, what equipment is great/bad etc. Would love to see it
What gorgeous country your route took you through! Hats off for taking on the big climb/hike up to Mt. Rainier as well. I’m looking forward as always to your next adventure!
Such a beautiful episode! My heart breaks a bit when I see you go down those hills when I know you’re going back up to get the camera. Very happy you do it though.
Looks like a great ride. I cycled on the PCH in California last year and I can tell you that there is a lot of fun to come when you hit a little bit further south. Save travels. JP
Hey Dan - Dave here. This travelogue really is very entertaining and informative. Hard to imagine just how much work you're putting into this adventure but all power to you.
Another awesome chapter! LOL - chipmunk climbed your tripod! Can you please tell me what that piece of music is that starts at 7:00 (your Rainier view camp spot)?
This is one of the best bikepacking video series I have watched! How does one just up and leave everyday life to cycle North America? Sponsored? Saved up? Take donations? I need to know!
Guess it was not a dead end? I'm catching up On your videos. I see on Instagram you are in Mexico . Can't wait for all those videos. Do you take funds to help you?

Thanks! It’s say it again 2.0 by Chris Shards
Really enjoy your travels. I'm sure you already mentioned it, but are you riding a Tumbleweed bicycle?
I'm glad you're enjoying! It's actually a Surly Grappler, it looks very similar to one of the Tumbleweed bikes!
{Hears gunshots in the distance behind him} "I'm definitely in America." 😅😂🤣
Very cool! Do you have a location for that camping spot that looks on Mt. Rainier at 7.00?
46.805924, -122.145122 that's the coordinates of where I left the road, there's a turnoff nearby just a little further up the hill if I remember right
@@DanCyclesTheWorldthanks enjoy!!

Love your videos always gets me in a good mood when you post! One question: How are you taking drone footage while you bike?
Thanks! I normally have to cycle one handed and control the drone with the other hand :)
