You have misunderstood something. For a supersim challenge, you have to pick ONE occult baby daddy, either Grim or Father Winter. The Grim Descendant trait doesn't actually do anything. The Grimborn trait, the one you get when Grim is the father, is the one with the longer lifespan. Obviously, you can't have Father Winter AND Grim both be the father so you have to pick and choose this time.
I heard the Grim Descendant trait does have the long lifespan, but is just missing the birthmark. In any case, you can have Father Winter have a baby with Grim and get both Grimborn and Father Winter's baby. The baby will have 2 fathers and no mother. This can be done with science babies or by changing Father Winter to be able to get pregnant. You just won't get the other traits like ancient bloodline (you can get weak), greater wolf blood (you can get dormant), sulani mana or the alien handshake. I still prefer to do it the way it shows in the video because of that.
I have now started my SuperSim over and I also got lucky on the first attempt. I can’t wait to see a new series if that is what you decide…I have already cast my vote! 😊
Would you like your sim to be in the world? You can age them up to at least teenager and upload to the gallery under #charitycodes or just comment your gallery id.
I had just aged up to Toddler! So thankfully not too far into things. Though I didn't know I couldn't figure out the half alien part so I get to try again!
I have a video coming out late Friday or maybe early Saturday if I can't finish on time for how to resolve some issues with toddler milestones and get both a born and adopted milestone.
Nice video. I never considered half alien when I created my supersim. That's a fun idea. But I am too attached to my supersim to start over. What I miss in your video was the sulani mana trait. I love that trait for gardening but the recent patches made adult sulani elementals impossible (that's what I heard, haven't tried it since myself)
You can get a sim off the gallery with the trait, but if you don't want to start over, Sulani mana isn't that great if you have Cottage Living. Golden chickens can instantly upgrade plants to perfect with no cooldown. If you make a golden omelet, you can even do it yourself for a short time.
21:00 ryleigh's needs icon is a werewolf, but she got the popup for being a spellcaster then the one for being a werewolf and her plumbob ring swapped from werewolf to spellcaster upon aging up to teenagerhood...i think the game's confused lol great video!
Ryleigh is both a werewolf and a spell caster. I didn't notice when I was making the video, but this happened in my original instruction video too. I will have to cure her of being a spell caster immediately after she ages up to teenager. She will be glitched otherwise.
@@charitycodes, I follow your first instruction video and the same happened to my super sim. Even the Glimmerstone kept glitching in her inventory (in the sense that, even if I destroyed it, it would come back to her inventory after a while or after I reset her)
@@luishenriquefalconifilho2124 yes, if you don't want a glitched sim, you can age the sim up to a teen. Cure them of being a werewolf and/or spell cater, then save the sim out to the library. Import the cured sim into a new save file with their family or at least one parent. You can then set the age on the imported sims to infant so that you can start the challenge with a clean sim. If you don't want to lose the family tree, then just use the same save file, but import the teen super sim into the old family and set the mother and father by having them in the household. Delete the old one and set the new one to infant.
@@charitycodes, I'll keep that in mind, but it wasn't much of a hassle, since I wanted my Super Sim to be a spellcaster for the remainder of the challenger.
@@luishenriquefalconifilho2124 if you want your sim to be a spell caster, you will need to cure the werewolf then. You cannot buy spell caster perks when they are a teen because the werewolf occult overrides it.

I've been working on a Super Sim who is now a YA and just recently learned about the Pass Down interaction and so will have to get all the bonus traits on her. She is a green sim since that's how the game bore her so I kept her that way since. I will change it eventually when needing to do the suntanning thing and then change it back afterwards. I had some annoyances along the way in the form of bugs. Every time I tried to age up my sim from teen to YA, she would not get the graduation prompt along with the Valedictorian trait and didn't get to choose her third trait which is unacceptable. I suppose using a Re-Traiting Potion could solve getting a third trait but not the loss of Valedictorian. If I want her to be a super sim, she needs to be perfect in school too. I also never unlocked the Acting skill rewards gained from the Build Mode when leveling up Acting to two different levels, the Diving career also didn't yield its rewards unlocks in the build mode. All were bugs I read others had on EA forums so I know I'm not alone in getting them. I never used mods or cheats except in extreme cases where the game cheated me but there is no mod or cheat to unlock singular items which should have been unlocked but Sims 4 is still a buggy mess, guess I shouldn't be mad since I also played Skyrim with zero mods and that also is a buggy as hell mess. Also, some stupid things need to be kept track of like getting Snaggle Fluster seems like a one-time thing since it can only be bought and learned at level 9 of the Mixologist career which I assume can be gained again if you get demoted but is probably impossible if you get that professional slacker reward trait. Additionally, the Mixologist certificate can no longer be gained if you max out Mixology before taking 11 mixology skill classes. Also, need to do Villanous Valentine before Serial Romancer since the reward trait of the latter conflicts with the former. I know it is possible to gain more Fame perk points than the usual 11 to 12 from ranking up to 5 the first time and getting that one celebrity aspiration reward trait which getting it would then make it impossible to get more fame perk points since fame will never decay and even quitting the spotlight will also remove all points you collected at that point. I wonder if there are more, one-time things that can easily be missed that you can divulge for me and others that would be useful to know. Also, needing to go to prom at least 3 times before aging up to YA to get the bronze, silver and gold rewards separately and additionally getting the Prom Royalty and Prom Jester hats unlocked for your super sim. One more annoying thing is clones cannot retain the Valedictorian and additional bonus traits but the latter can be passed down with Pass Down interaction so no biggie but the former is a loss again, sims also saved to the gallery will not retain Valedictorian either which sucks but I suppose cheats will have to be the band-aid solution to solve that. Anyways, sorry for the semi-rant. 😓My Super Sim has maxed all skills and got all satisfaction reward traits, so I assume I need to complete all Aspirations and complete all careers and get all degrees, etc. I wonder if household collections also transfer over to the gallery. I'm a relatively new Sims player only having started playing about a month or two ago lol 😅
There are a few reward traits that conflict with aspirations. Carefree, Shameless and Never Weary are reward traits you can't get until you complete aspirations for bust the dust, beach life and the one from outdoor retreat that gets you survivalist. There might be more, but I'm going to make a video on it eventually. I'm currently starting over, but if you don't want to start over, you will need to cheat to remove those traits when working on the aspiration that conflicts. To get the mixology certificate, I just cheated my mixology back to level 1 about 3 times. For my next attempt, I will try to do it without cheating. There are some items in the game that lower your skill gain and if you're in a dazed mood, your skill gain should be slow.
I don't know if you got the message from yesterday, but I do have two families on my gallery for you. One is Elvis from my Supersim (Walters grandson) and his new partner Nectarine who (I think) was a 100 baby kid from the past, or a sim I made to plant in another game to limit randomly generated neighbors. The other is just 6 past 100 baby/or "plants" that you can use for whatever you need them for in the future, fix them as you need. I did mess with thier clothes etc in CAS so they don't look too random.
Thanks! Yah, I don't always get replies since UA-cam is random about notifying me. I can get all original comments that I have not replied to through UA-cam Studio. What's your gallery id?
@@charitycodes I did look for it on my tablet this morning and the comment wasn't there, so it may have been removed/hidden for some reason. (Gallery ID) 0HistoryNerd0 Let me know when you have collected them so I can take them down. I hope they aren't too ugly. The six kind of have "same face syndrome" and Elvis and Nectarine not so much, but they aren't "cute" either. Elvis is one that isn't a werewolf or Spellcaster so you won't have to worry about that.. No clue about traits etc on either of them. Nectarine is not his partner in the game, I just chose her to pass on to you. The six all have names that you won't have trouble with.
Not only do you need to have 10 generations played in 10 different households, you also need to have 400 babies across all generations for the hidden achievement Baby Boom (I thought the name was). So, you might do that by having each Sim have 4 babies and after 10 generations move out, and do all of that 10 times again.
I'm going to combine that with the 100 generations in a single household. I'm not going to worry about the baby boom across the 10 played households. Each generation that lives with the Super Sim will have 4 kids.
Can you turn Karla into the Grim Reaper? Then she would pass down all of her traits + have a baby with father winter, and they would be grimborn and father winter's baby. (haven't played with the pack though, don't know if that's possible, I only know that there's a grim reaper carrer)
That would solve the issue, but unfortunately, no one can be Grim without cheats. With the Grim reaper career, you just get to do Grim's job. You don't actually get to be Grim and pass down the trait.
As posted in my other reply in case someone sees this and wants the info. You can add most of them. The secret handshake one cannot be cheated because it's an occult and not a trait and I'm not sure the lighthouse one can either because it's hidden. The ones I know are: traits. equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_GreaterWolfBlood Don't use the ancient bloodline cheat unless you back up your save. It was glitched and probably still is. traits.equip_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult_BloodlineAncient Sulani mana: traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_islandancestor_elemental traits.equip_trait FatherWinterBaby
So finally got my super sim tonight, aged them up to check for alien trait, it's all there. But their face is super weird (I did not do grimborn trait, just followed your older guide) and now I'm wondering if there's a way to cure werewolf/spellcaster before teenager? I am wary of my game completely breaking, it's a fresh save for my supersim playthrough so just curious if I should be using console commands or anything, or just try to reach milestones etc and hope for the best, because I've seen comments saying the hybrids can corrupt saves. He's a werewolf but with a glimmerstone in his inventory and some really whacky needs especially at teen.
Yes, you can sort of. I found a way to get a non-glitchy sim, but you need to do it before you start your Super Sim. Age your sim up to a teenager. Go to the magic realm and ask for the rite of dissolution from a sage. Download the werewolf cure from the gallery and drink it. Then save this family out to your library. Start a new game and import your teenager, cured Super Sim. You can change the age without cheats as long as it's a new family. Set it to infant. Then you can start fresh in a fresh save with no glitchy sims. Import her old family and set the relationships if you want to keep them. You can only take over 7 sims and the super sim and set relationships properly. All traits will be saved, but your sim will have milestones for celebrated a birthday. This is weird, but doesn't really matter.
Yes! my gallery id is CharityCodes and I uploaded Karla, Annalise and Ryleigh as "Super Sim New". Ryleigh is likely glitched though because she is both a spell caster and a werewolf. When she becomes a teenager, she needs to be cured of at least one of those occults.
I was wondering if you can use new rebirth mechanic to transfer inherited traits. Because that seems like the only possible way to get Grimborn and FW baby with legacy traits. Descendant fells like a half measure, I will search for a way to get my Grimborn, preferably also as a reincarnation of grim descendant to see if they stack.
Unfortunately, rebirth is not an option for any traits. I tested this with the original Karla with no mods or cheats. She had burning soul. I rebirthed her and she was born with 0 birth traits. All of her previous ones were lost. Since she started as an infant when reborn, she did not get any new traits. Additionally, you cannot even set Grim as the father because it has to be someone in the household. Using the burning soul interaction on the mirror, I could get back almost all of my previous traits, but no birth traits. They were not on the list to remember at any age.
Yah, I've seen others have issues too. Do you have mods? The bloodline trait will completely disappear if you accidentally have a full alien baby as they cannot have any bloodline trait. If both of your parents are half aliens and spell casters, you can sometimes have a full alien spell caster baby with no bloodline trait. The werewolf traits also tend to not show up if you have 1 werewolf parent and 1 spell caster parent who is not a dormant wolf. If you're trying the same combination I did the in the video, then I don't know why it works for some people and not others. I do have Karla, Annalise and her baby on the gallery if you want to try one of them.
@@charitycodes I noticed that I got one baby with the spellcaster and werewolf traits. The only thing I can think of is that Father Winter wasn't a spellcaster yet. I'm going to try after taking it away.
@@rebelangelrin for you to get Greater Wolfblood, Father Winter has to be a werewolf. I think he has to turn before the baby is born. To be safe, let him turn before trying for baby.
I'm not sure what you're asking. Which sim? The final parents here are Father Winter (werewolf) and Annalise who was a spell caster and a dormant wolf. If you cure the mother of spell casterness, then the bloodline goes down.
Oh then i leave it as it is(it's a boy he has ancient bloodline, grimborn, sulani mana, dormant wolf) and all i need is father winter to turn him wolf. Thank u very much for this great tutorial.
@@georgemp1726 correct. If you want the born in the lighthouse trait, you will need to add Father Winter to your household and change either your current male sim or Father Winter to be able to get pregnant. You should be able to do that without cheats.
I was wondering if/how a super sim could have the Father Winter trait and the Grim child trait. I couldn't decide which of my babies to be a single super sim so I am doing a Super Twins series.
You can have both of those, but you have to give up the other traits. You can add Father Winter to your household and have a science baby with Grim. I currently can't get Try for Baby to work for me, but you can change Father Winter to be able to get pregnant. If Father Winter is a werewolf, you can get dormant wolf. If Father Winter is a spell caster, you can get weak bloodline. There is no way to get Grimborn and Father Winter's baby with any other traits.
@@charitycodes I liked the way you did it here. Since the Grim and Father Winter baby traits don't change a lot with the game play of the Super Sim. I'm tempted to use the mom of my current Super Twins to have a baby with Grim then that child grow up to have a baby with Father Winter. Though it makes their family tree more like a wreath.
@@jalainasrandomness3165 well the original Father Winter that was Karla's father isn't in the same game since I moved to a different save. Grim's trait adds 7 days to the elder life stage, so it will never mean anything to the Super Sim, but it's nice to have. 😁 Also, I just learned that Grim Descendant doesn't even get the 7 days. No big deal though.
@@charitycodes The trait is in the traits list so that counts. This seems like the only way to get all of the inherited traits. Grimborn babies could have a dormant wolf or a spell caster weak bloodline I suppose if you turned Father Winter into a werewolf or a spellcaster.
I'm working on trying to get my Super Sim and I'm having trouble to get the Bloodline and werewolf traits to show up
Yah, I've seen others have issues too.
Mine was born spellcaster not normal sim like yours and still has ancient bloodline .I need to stop been spellcaster and only father winter be wolf?
But you couldn't have both and the alien and the Sulani trait.
i literally re did my super sim for the half alien trait shes now an young adult and now they bring out a new birth trait im like im not restarting my super sims can ave the grim baby
That's a good option because there's also a milestone for woohooing Grim. I will not be able to get it since Grim is my super sim's grandfather.
*sigh* I forgot about the step of having the second gen being a spellcaster for the bloodline. I had just got my 2nd Super Sim to Toddler.
Well, toddler isn't too far along. Also, I have tips on solving the toddler milestone bug in the next video for the series. You need to do some extra steps before the infant milestones.

Could you be more specific? 🤣Thanks for the comment though.
