I could have sworn that sims 3 ghosts didn’t have any speaking voices that were normal simlish. I remember them just being the garbled ghost noises or screams whenever I’d see them converse with each other, which absolutely terrified me back then!
This was how ghosts were in the PC version prior to, I think it was Pets? I believe they made it so ghosts would use echoey versions of their normal voice then so we wouldn't have animal ghosts that, sounded like people for whatever reason. Still don't get why ghosts continued to use the male voice type 1 evil laughs when haunting objects though...
I love how in The Sims 1 if you have Bonehilda on the the lot and the Grim Reaper shows up, she gets so excited and totally fangirls and wants his autograph. 😂
Sims 1 has the best scary moments - ghost music, those screams! I got nervous hearing that more than once as a kid! Still didn't make me turn the volume off ... the burglar music on the other hand!
I had no idea there was a graveyard for pets in TS4. Considering I hardly ever play with that pack (because I hate it when my pets die) it isn't too surprising that I had no clue, but it's actually pretty cool, I love it.
One of my Sims 3 family lost their cat and he roams around the property occasionally. I got one of my sims to paint a portrait of him but unfortunately it turned out just messy looking. Little ghost pets are so cute!
12:01 turns out geoffrey landgraab's marriage to nancy landgraab didn't last longer then i thought it would since geoffrey works as a secret agent while nancy works as a criminal.
2:18 - it reminded me of an episode of a tv serie where a guy is in a mausoleum playing cards with ghosts, I dont remember if its some episode of Tales from the Crypt, or The Twilight Zone, or even The Fresh Prince of Belair, but I remember this happening in an episode of some tv serie that I watched when I was a kid
I think the reason why the Sims 2 cemetery allows so many random/unrelated activities is to encourage the player to stay on the lot, since just bringing your sims to see the gravestones would be too boring. Specially since it's a closed space, as in not open world to go explore the surroundings.
0:28 That ghost child’s scream terrified me back when I was in elementary school. I remember jolting awake at around 5:00 AM one time after hearing that scream in my head. I love the graveyard firework extravaganza detail in The Sims 3. Life and Death looks like a good pack. Maybe I’ll buy it when it’s on sale.
Technically only sims 3 has functional community grave yards as a base game feature. Sims 1 functional graves can only exist on residential lots, the same was true in sims 2 until nightlife IE the second expansion introduced the ability to move graves to community lots. But not to defend sims 4 of course , as this is truly another example of how it took all the innovations and "up steps" the series made over the years and spit in the older games faces because it's so desperately trying to be its own thing. Let us not forget that 4 originally didn't even have graves or ghosts at all.
@@SlysGames oh, true that! I had the Goth's household in mind when I made the comment, I wasn't thinking community lots, more like 'classic graveyard ghost behaviour' stuff Honestly this game feels more like The Gloobs, these arent sims i'm sorry
7:42 that is just so better than TS4 pathetic sad fireworks... they're supposed to be extravagant, showy and simply awe inspiring, and TS3 open world just worked wonderfully with it.
I don't know if this is standard in the Sims 2 or just a glitch but when I moved my graves to a community lot, the ghosts always turned out to be ones who died from starvation even though most of them died from old age. It even occured for sims who had golden gravestones. Also, a quick note for The Sims 3: more ghosts will appear to haunt during a full moon if Supernatural is installed. Ghosts will also, for whatever reason, drive away from cemeteries to random lots sometimes.
i swear loungers have always existed in sims 4. they've had that same outfit and are more likely to be sims with the erratic trait - i always see them on park lots sleeping on benches.
I'm still convinced that Ghost weren't introduced until Livin' Large. Then again maybe I didn't play with the Goths the times I only had vanilla Sims 1. Also, personally, I never liked that, from 3 onwards, Ghosts can be treated like any other sim.
That's probably to make it easier to resurrect dead Sims. In The Sims 1 and 2, it was hard to bring dead Sims back to life. The Sims 3 & 4 makes it far easier to bring them back, which is nice if a Sim dies unexpectedly.
Oddly enough, I too thought they were in Livin' Large. But according to Sims Wiki they were base-game. Livin' Large brought Grim, Zombies, Genie, Servo, Santa Claus and Tragic Clown (which makes it the EP with the most occults 😁). Therefore, Sims 4 was the only game that did not have ghosts in base game when it was first released. And that's sad. And I personally like the regular Sims ghosts better than the scary ghosts. But that's my personal preference, as I never liked scary occults in Sims games.
If I remember correctly, Sim ghosts could only roam on a community lot if they appeared at least once on a residential lot. And it took some time for them to show up for the first time.
The Sims 1 has random tombstones for sims that appear randomly while the sims 3 has three different tombstones but only set for their lifetime happiness points while the other sims games only have one tombstone set unless they die from old age happily or is not a sim life state (The Sims 4) before life and death.
This how I feel like all things should be in sims, like sims 1 and 2 established tons of features, Sims 3 built on that and created so many more opportunities as tech got more advanced, and then Sims 4 should incorporate all the earlier hard work and add even more to it. So many aspects are weaker in Sims 4, but this one I do really feel like they did a good job both keeping earlier ideas and creating really cool, new features!
Sims 3 lets you create a ghost sim in CAS with the Supernatural expansion pack. You can choose the death type which affects their appearance (color pallet mainly), this way the ghost is part of the household and you can control them.
Who's the winner? Definitely The Sims 1. The Sims 1 is the only game that's consistent about ghosts. Ghosts in the other Sims games are a lost cause. Instead of scarring your sims, they can join you for a card game or a trip to the bar! How realistic is that?!
Loungers are actually from base game. They used to be a park-exclusive role, and would always have the insane trait and spawn with low hygiene. Thankfully they were removed at some point. It is unfortunate that someone thought to bring them back. They are pretty insensitive characters.
I still remember my HUGE disappointment in Sims 2 graveyards... especially comparing to elegant & spooky ones from Sims 1... 🤮😬🤬 Gothier Green Lawns actually tried to 'imitate' mausolueums with these mini buildings, but due to lack of grave/gothic stuff (even in vampire ep), they turned these rooms into entretainment 🥴🥵 Sims 2 tombstones were also the most glitchy ones of all 4 games, probably bcuz they were rushed in production
Ok but the scream of terror in Sims 1... Like... WHO'S IDEA WAS THIS ??!!! 😭
haha I know! I was terrified as a child ❤️
Someone fun
I'm so scared ):
And I'm an adult.
Funfact: sims 1 and sims 2 adult voice actors were the same.
Will Wright ❤
0:42 Oh, okay. I wasn't expecting a slap fight at the graveyard, lol. 0:45 "YOU FRACKIN'!" oh my goodness 😂😂

For the console version they didnt speak in simlish
I bet it was terrifying ❤️❤️

12:38 "I told you it wouldn't work"💀💀
hehhehe ❤️
That lighting hitting the graveyard at Goth family was just perfect ❤
It never occurred to me to try fireworks at the cemetery (S3) :O the whole scene is so cool
Yep, I'm blown away (again) by this game
I love how in The Sims 1 if you have Bonehilda on the the lot and the Grim Reaper shows up, she gets so excited and totally fangirls and wants his autograph. 😂
3:04 the thunder made the cemetery even more scarier than the ghosts themselves
The ghosts of TS2 are really terrifying, though.
To be honest, I was surprised it rained when I loaded the lot ❤️
7:20 THEY CAND DO THAT? WAT ITS ALMOST 20 YEARS AND SIMS 3 STILL SHOCK ME
Right 🎆 Sims 3 still has more goodies for us all to unlock 💚
yesss ❤️❤️

It took sims 4 OVER TEN YEARS to make a freaking cemetary!
And cost $40 if one want one 😭

I was afraid of Sims 1 ghosts😂
alongside with that music .. it was very scary ❤️

0:34 Reminds me of the 'Urn of Whispering Warriors' from Kung Fu Panda that Po kept knocking over in each movie. "Uhhhhohhhhhh" 🤣🤣
It may took 10 years for The Sims 4, but cemeteries/graveyards and funerals look beyond iconic. As a Sims 3 stan, I'm actually jealous right now 😭😭😭
sims 1 - basegame
sims 2 - basegame
sims 3 - basegame
sims 4 - dlc 10 years later
can we vote on who loses?

@@petrnovak7235 But it's true. I remembered I had a virtual machine with the vanilla game, opened the Goth lot and voila, ghosts.

Queen Victoria would love this series
Sims 3 wins because we didn’t have to pay extra for the experience. Sims 4 is just a cash grab at this point.
In every game the Goths have a graveyard in their home except The Sims 4 🙄
Yeah, because sims4 is not new version of the sims . It's a cow😂
Wooow, I like it 😮❤
7:58 gotta hurry 🪱🪱🪱🪱
Why tf were those chicks getting into a slap fight in the cemetery??
I think the sims 3, 4 can play with a ghost, but the sims 1, 2 can't play with a ghost
Bro, The sims 4 can fight back with a ghost 😂 14:20
Sims 3 lets you create a ghost sim in CAS with the Supernatural expansion pack. You can choose the death type which affects their appearance (color pallet mainly), this way the ghost is part of the household and you can control them.
The Sims3 let's you have get pregnant from a ghost and have ghost babies in BG, which TS4 could never...
@@Cam1417-TK You alright, The sims 3 can play with a ghost
I want make The Sims comparison vídeos inspireded on you, but i can't play The Sims 1 :')
Why the ghost's look realistic in sims 2 than any other sims!!??? Sims 2 have the best-looking spirits.
Sims 4 is the winner with the addition of Life and Death.
But without it (as it was released just recently, after 10 years of gameplay), Sims3 wins for all that being BG...
yes another new video
