- Gate of Thunder (PC Engine) All Bosses (No Damage). It is a scrolling shooter by Hudson Soft and Red Entertainment for the PC Engine CD-ROM originally released in 1992. Gate of Thunder features a very similar gameplay to the Thunder Force series, including the ability of stocking up weapons and change between them at the press of a button, because this game is developed by team Raimon, that consist of Thunder Force II and III's staff.

I love the music to this game, especially the second final boss theme. It's so deranged and menacing.

Fun Fact: Gate of Thunder acutally has a US version but instead to be a standalone game (like the Japanese version) it was released in the 4 in 1 TurboDuo collection.

Heh, "because this game is developed by team Raimon, that consist of Thunder Force II and III's staff" so is this AKA: Thunderforce 2.5? Or would it be 3.5 in your opinion? I figured it kind of felt like a Pre-Alpha "Styx" Fighter model with some stripped weapons due to being a Space Police force (almost like Gallop? lol sorry)
3.5. It was after Thunder Force III. I think they perfected the concept with less weapons but changing the direction with a double tap in the shot button.
