I have dealt with homosexual desires most of my life(since puberty), and married to a man, and have asked myself this question many, many times over the years; "is homosexuality a sin", and I can only come to conclusion, that it is.. in saying so, it's going against what I've told myself countless times, it goes against what the world is currently teaching it's youth. But, I cannot go against GOD, and lie and say HE is for it, when I've prayed and prayed and prayed and ask for guidance and HIS will to be known to me . My heart broke a little bit when you started talking about how others will never fully understand these struggles. This is something I feel so often, especially in the last months. I really don't know who I could even ask for help, let alone who could be able to do something. So nobody knows, and I'm going through it alone day by day, and I'm so tired.

I am battling these feelings because Ive turned to God and away from my Homosexual life of 45 yrs...its all I knew, and all I know how to feel. I continue daily and nightly fighting. I struggled with thinking that I am homosexual, yet I don't see myself to be in a relationship with a man, at all. I prefer to stay celibate, yet continue to seek Christ. Growing up, I was around machismo culture and I was expected to be into girls and be just strong, not cry, nor be into things that are considered childlike. It wasn't until I began forming friendships that were rooted in Christ, I kinda feared being embraced by men in public, worrying I would be called gay. Once I began to be closer to community, I felt more comfortable being embraced, knowing that it is done due to friendship and Christ like love, not homosexuality.

I have never really had a strong friendship with another guy, but lately, as I have been developing a good friendship with one of my guy friends, I feel as though that I am becoming attracted to him. That’s not how it works, going a program that helps with unwanted SSA.. praying alone isn’t going to work. You need to seek Christian counselors who know your battle and can get under the root causes for your homosexuality. It’s deeper and it’s more than just praying. It’s a process .

Homosexuality is not genetic. When a boy lacks the love and acceptance of a father, usually a physically or emotionally absent father (bc stupid mom got pregnant by a guy who didnt want kids), the boy will have a void in his heart and desire love. This desire to be loved will then become sexualized as the child grows. As more women chose to get pregnant by men who dont want kids, the number of fatherless boys who eventually experience same sex attractions increase. Fatherlessness used to be rare as did homosexuality.

I totally understand your point of view. From my perspective, homosexuality is not a sin itself. Some Christians say it is but bc of the words that have been mistranslated, the contexts where the Bible is supposedly talking about homosexuality, it's not but about gang rape and male pagan prostitution. Given the explanation, loving someone of the opposite gender is not less of worth than loving someone of the same gender. Nonetheless, what's been discussed on this video is about lust, and lust is failing to honor someone who has been created in God's image, therefore it doesn't matter if it is towards the opposite or same gender, it is sinful itself. People need to come to the realization that some people are homosexual while most are heterosexual and there are those in between, being attracted to both genders. One's sexual orientation does not make one right with God. Jesus died for the sins of every single human being and that sin is the failure to love and treat others via actions of love. Presenting one's body as an instrument of righteousness is not about moral righteousness. In Koine Greek, righteousness is defined as equitableness, fairness and justice. Paul taught to use one's body as an instrument of love towards one's neighbor. Romans 3:12-15 is Paul saying no one is showing loving kindness or equitableness via their throat, their tongue, their lips, their mouth or their feet. Paul was not hyper focused on moral righteousness, but instead, loving kindness, equity, benevolence and altruism. Basically, brotherly love. This is based on the Law that Jesus came to establish because just as Hebrews 7:12 says, a new law is necessary when the priesthood changes and it had now that the Messianic King came. Thus, the law of Moses was replaced with the King's Law, as Jesus mentions in Matthew 7:12. That is the Law Jesus is referring to when He says, "Keep the commandments" and it's the one He said He did not come to abolish. References to Leviticus are pointless since the law of Moses is no longer the active law. The Jewish law of Moses was divided into two groups: Justices and Jobs. The Justices or Ethics were all of the commandments based on the utterance and precept, "love thy neighbor as thyself". The Jobs or Works were all of the rest. When Jesus came, He established His Law as ONLY BEING the Justices. Thus, any commandment not related to loving one's neighbor as self was deemed a Job or Work and those commandments are no longer necessary to keep as they are not a part of the Law, as they were a part of the the law of Moses. This is what Paul refers to in Romans 3:20 when he said, no one will be justified by the works of the law. He's saying, anyone who believe they have to keep the commandments that are defined as Jobs/Works, those people who believe that will not be justified before God and that's because ONLY THE JUSTICES OR ETHICS ARE THE LAW. As such, the prohibition regarding men lying with is no irrelevant as it was a prohibition that was defined as a Job or Work of the Torah. The text in question was related to pagan idol worship practices and Paul reiterates this in his description in Romans chapter one. In fact, if one reads Romans chapter one carefully, one can see that Paul did not give such idol worship practices the death penalty like Leviticus 20:13 did. That's because Paul knew what I am telling you know: That the law of Moses and all of its Jobs or Works based commandments was replaced with the King Jesus' Law which was solely Justices/Ethical commandments related to how humans treat one another. Thus, James 2:8, Romans 13:8-10 and the like. So, Paul could not apply the death penalty for that. The penalty was in the last sentence of verse 27, but it's not a death penalty. However, he did apply the death penalty in verses 28-32 to those who mistreated others via their actions toward their neighbor. Homosexuals have been mistreated for centuries unjustly due to incorrect bible translations and the human tendency to separate us versus them. The words of Paul in Romans 2:26 regarding circumcision is applicable in regards to homosexuality. Just replace circumcision with homosexuality. As long as a homosexual person keeps the requirements of the Law, his or her homosexuality will be counted as heterosexuality, much like the uncircumcised man Paul refers to in the text. Basically, as long a an individual keeps the commandments of the Law, which says to love others as self and to treat others in the way you would want to be treated, that individual is doing well in the eyes of Jesus. In the same context, but separately, he adds to this by condemning lustful behaviours - also condemned in the OT - whether sexual (opposite or same sex), greed, sensuality, etc. That same-sex attraction is not of itself lustful is now a common fact. This is based on regular experience, empirically based information, and a growing scientific understanding of sexuality as distinct from sex, is merel. The above offers only an outline of deep(er) scriptural study. It is produced to the greater glory of God, and shows than the standard understanding that same-sex attraction is to be unilaterally ruled out is simply not scriptural. This supersedes previous interpretations precisely because lexical knowledge unknown in previous times, and the onrush of new empirically based knowledge, reveal more of the mystery of God's Word. (Should you balk at scientific evidence consider that, contrary to now defunct scriptural understand and official dogma, virtually no Christian believes the earth is the centre of the universe.)

The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. I am battling these feelings because Ive turned to God and away from my Homosexual life of 45 yrs...its all I knew, and all I know how to feel. I continue daily and nightly fighting. I struggled with thinking that I am homosexual, yet I don't see myself to be in a relationship with a man, at all. I prefer to stay celibate, yet continue to seek Christ.
Growing up, I was around machismo culture and I was expected to be into girls and be just strong, not cry, nor be into things that are considered childlike. It wasn't until I began forming friendships that were rooted in Christ, I kinda feared being embraced by men in public, worrying I would be called gay. Once I began to be closer to community, I felt more comfortable being embraced, knowing that it is done due to friendship and Christ like love, not homosexuality.

I have never really had a strong friendship with another guy, but lately, as I have been developing a good friendship with one of my guy friends, I feel as though that I am becoming attracted to him. From my perspective, homosexuality is not a sin itself. Some Christians say it is but bc of the words that have been mistranslated, the contexts where the Bible is supposedly talking about homosexuality, it's not but about gang rape and male pagan prostitution.

People need to come to the realization that some people are homosexual while most are heterosexual and there are those in between, being attracted to both genders. One's sexual orientation does not make one right with God. Jesus died for the sins of every single human being and that sin is the failure to love and treat others via actions of love. Presenting one's body as an instrument of righteousness is not about moral righteousness. In Koine Greek, righteousness is defined as equitableness, fairness and justice. Paul taught to use one's body as an instrument of love towards one's neighbor. Romans 3:12-15 is Paul saying no one is showing loving kindness or equitableness via their throat, their tongue, their lips, their mouth or their feet. Paul was not hyper focused on moral righteousness, but instead, loving kindness, equity, benevolence and altruism. Basically, brotherly love. This is based on the Law that Jesus came to establish because just as Hebrews 7:12 says, a new law is necessary when the priesthood changes and it had now that the Messianic King came. Thus, the law of Moses was replaced with the King's Law, as Jesus mentions in Matthew 7:12. That is the Law Jesus is referring to when He says, "Keep the commandments" and it's the one He said He did not come to abolish.
References to Leviticus are pointless since the law of Moses is no longer the active law. The Jewish law of Moses was divided into two groups: Justices and Jobs. The Justices or Ethics were all of the commandments based on the utterance and precept, "love thy neighbor as thyself". The Jobs or Works were all of the rest. When Jesus came, He established His Law as ONLY BEING the Justices. Thus, any commandment not related to loving one's neighbor as self was deemed a Job or Work and those commandments are no longer necessary to keep as they are not a part of the Law, as they were a part of the the law of Moses. This is what Paul refers to in Romans 3:20 when he said, no one will be justified by the works of the law. He's saying, anyone who believe they have to keep the commandments that are defined as Jobs/Works, those people who believe that will not be justified before God and that's because ONLY THE JUSTICES OR ETHICS ARE THE LAW.
As such, the prohibition regarding men lying with is no irrelevant as it was a prohibition that was defined as a Job or Work of the Torah. The text in question was related to pagan idol worship practices and Paul reiterates this in his description in Romans chapter one. In fact, if one reads Romans chapter one carefully, one can see that Paul did not give such idol worship practices the death penalty like Leviticus 20:13 did. That's because Paul knew what I am telling you know: That the law of Moses and all of its Jobs or Works based commandments was replaced with the King Jesus' Law which was solely Justices/Ethical commandments related to how humans treat one another. Thus, James 2:8, Romans 13:8-10 and the like. So, Paul could not apply the death penalty for that. The penalty was in the last sentence of verse 27, but it's not a death penalty. However, he did apply the death penalty in verses 28-32 to those who mistreated others via their actions toward their neighbor.
Homosexuals have been mistreated for centuries unjustly due to incorrect bible translations and the human tendency to separate us versus them. The words of Paul in Romans 2:26 regarding circumcision is applicable in regards to homosexuality. Just replace circumcision with homosexuality. As long as a homosexual person keeps the requirements of the Law, his or her homosexuality will be counted as heterosexuality, much like the uncircumcised man Paul refers to in the text. Basically, as long a an individual keeps the commandments of the Law, which says to love others as self and to treat others in the way you would want to be treated, that individual is doing well in the eyes of Jesus.

Two of the same sex in a loving and committed relationship are not sinning, same as heterosexuals.
Right is right, and no sexuality is a sin, God loves you not matter your sex or sexuality.

The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. Such indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle" is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such descriptively inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through the stone of subjective comparison.
