It could be, but the only way to tell would be with professional equipment at that point. You can put a gauge on the fuel rail to make sure they're getting enough pressure. My issue was a weak pump.
The misfire you had, what speed were you traveling at when it started misfiring? or was is missing when idle? My Tribute feels fine up to around 80km/h which is when it starts spluttering a bit, but then evens out near 100km/h
i had the same problem and i find that the owner replaced the valve cover gasket and swap the connectors for cylinders 4 and 6.
I have a 2002 tribute 3.0 awd also having a misfire and boggling down and slow exceleration
im having that same problem now, same year....i got a cylinder 6 misfire, and b1s2 o2 code come up
@@RngWlf did you ever fix this? If so what was the solution im having the same issue 😅
@@wally4ful i replaced the coil, and all the sensors (only needed the 1 but did all 4 anyways) ...pretty simple
It sounds like it's sucking a lot of air..any ideas?
My Tribute backfires..and it's running rough, could this be the injectors?

What are the spark plugs supposed to be gapped at? For Mazda Tribute v6? I can't find anything online. Thanks.

@@l3oki668 50 milli inches?
What was the proper part number? I’m having the EXACT issue. Did you replace the fuel filter?
Coil wiring are in the wrong holes that is that problem look at the wiring i have fixed the exact problem before
So did u replaced the injectors? If u did, did it solve your problem.
I did replace the injectors, fuel pump, and double checked pressure. This vehicle had bad compression.
@@apeescape2005 oh wow if u remember what was the numbers on compression ?
@@Truthsearcherforever777 I don't remember, sorry! :/
I hate to beaker it to you but your wiring the the coils are in the wrong holes that's the problem

It started at idle. Long story short this thing had two dead cylinders even though there was spark and fuel, no compression!
apeescape2005 ao it was not the injection
Ever find out what it was? Mine shutters at 80km/h also and it is fine after that
I would have thought compression....
Did that work?
Hey where do you live
If it was black o-rings you had a nightmare.
