Thank you so much sure. I am a struggling single mom, and I prayed for guidance on how to fix this on going problem affecting why my car didn't always want to start and good lead me to your video about the same codes coming up on my 2002 Mazda tribute. I was quoted between 300-500$ to fix it.... And because of God leading me to your video I fixed it myself for $3.50!!! Thank you sir, you are a good sent blessing.
Thank you for your video Sir. I will check my fuse as the reader is showing O2 sensors and Evap canister. Replaced gas cap and that is no luck. Mazda MPV.
Thanks for the tip. Let me give you a heads up. I have the exact same vehicle and had an erroneous code for the evap sensor that turned out to be the power steering pressure sensor, which is that green thing you see on the left. So, if you ever get stumped on that code check the power steering sensor. It doesn't make sense, but this is a gotcha.
Hey, thank you so much your video has been a few years :-) but bought all new sensors to replace, will check that fuse as you suggest! It’s good to know to help someone else out as well if this isn’t the case here. Again, thank you you’re a good man. Keep up the good work. Stay well. Have a beautiful day.👍🙏
@@s33therfan yes. Fuse was blown, changed it. Cleared the fault codes. Been driving several days now without the check engine light coming back on. Thank you again. And Merry Christmas.
I bought a LAUNCH CR529 diagnostic reader but it seems to say on the screen that it is not compatible with my 2001 Tribute. Can you lead me to a computer reader sub $40?
Might be helpful to the viewers of this channel if you would list the codes that are associated with your check engine light. Secondly are the codes for the Tribute the same as the Focus?
My friend I have A froblem with codes 171 and 174 the car is having a hard time to start first tim if I’m going a second start it starts directly and runs perfect no rough no nothing new air filter new intec gaskets up and down new gas filter and I’m having check light P171-174 is saying and Bank one s as did Bank 2 problem and first start problems.I don’t know what else to do can you help me make me sad because the car runs really smooth bro
I would start with the basics . Checking fuel pressure first , compression ,checking for any vacuum leaks. It almost seems to be a simple fix because of how good it runs. Thank you for watching.
You have 4 total 2 upstream and 2 downstream. 2 located on each cat/exhaust manifold. The rear firewall cat is not to dificult to access but the 2 near the radiator fan are a little more tight. You will want an O2 remover tool and you can get a loaner from a local part store. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
I charged my power steering pump and now the engine check light come on I can reset it but my tail light will blow. A short or what ? Thank I'll check the fuse the tribute runs good the fuse I will check
Take the fuse out and inspect it . You will notice an S like shape inside the plastic . If thats broken or looks damaged replace it . If you are handy with a multimeter you can set it on ( continuity ) most guages will beep to show the continuity is good . Meaning a good fuse . Hope this helps and thank you for watching.
Wow if I didn't saw this video I would have not check that fuse and and when I do check it the fuse is blown the problem that I have is when driving at at high RPM accelerating too high RPM I am getting a miss fire trembling kind of attack
It could be related if the check engine light is throwing a code for the O2 . It is real tricky hunting down some of these issues and sometimes the check engine light can point in the right direction and sometimes not. Best of luck on your project and thank you for watching
Thank you for watching . I definitely thought it may help someone else out , and it's sure worth checking the fuses first . I had replaced all 4 o2 sensors to realize it was the fuse, as of to date that check engine light hasn't came back so I'm happy. Thanks again and best of luck on yours .
@@s33therfan I checked the fuse like you suggested and it was blown, after I reconnected the battery to reset the check engine light it didn't come back on... until two days after. The fuse blew again I replaced it again and it blew again! Any suggestions?

Thank you. Just placed two o 2 sensors . On the third day , my car wouldn't start . So I'll have my macanic,, check the fuse.

Thank you very much for the great feedback and thanks for watching.
Damm!!!!!!!! I’m so glad I saw this! I just bought all 02 sensors and ordered the evap can then I saw this and wouldn’t ya know it…..blown fuse

Could this fuse cause a slight misfire?
It might , if it is affecting the 02 sensors. Thanks for the question.
So what about if just multiple O2 sensors are the codes that show? How many O2 sensors are located on the V6?

All code on my SUV as well, wonder how I know fusel is bad?

How can you tell if the fuse is out ?
Easiest is with a multimeter or pull the fuse and visually inspect for breakage. Thank you for watching.
Purge vavle was related to the fuse also?
I lost my keys the one that is lost was a cut one without the chip
