I have a speed of 50 wpm in English but I haven't learned shorthand stenography so I am going to learn it from home following your guidance. But I have seen that my typing speed varies according to the keyboard I am typing in, when I was in the CCC classes, they would change my seat every week and it would be really frustrating because I would be just getting used to one type of keyboard.
Now for a year, I have only been typing on my laptop and we all know it is easier than the desktop keyboard.
*I need to know if they provide laptops or separate keyboards during the skill test and if keyboards, are they of good quality or the kind that need intense key depression. I need to know beforehand so that I could practice accordingly, asking for the old keyboard from my cousin lol!*

Sir according to me also it is quite difficult to learn short hand at home because to learn short hand a proper guideline (offline teacher) is necessary and aagar online sikhna start bhi kar diya to mostly biche me left kar denge isse jo pehle kuch aur preparation kar raha hai wo bhi affect hoga and the most important thing isme regular rhna jaruri hai and kuch jo youtube pe padhate bhi hai wo khud bich me left kr dete hai padhana students ko isese aur problem hogi and it also require discipline and dedication

1.I have a doubt....I started practicing shorthand 3 months ago I'm thoroughly practicing theory ...15 chapter s has been completed......but there is really something going wrong and I can sense that it was ACCENT .....I deeply observed that( in book pitman instructor) said pitman was a british .....so should I have to learn first british accent or pronunciation before starting to pitman shorthand

After your selection, you'll have to learn both, i.e. you've to achieve a certain speed in the language which you didn't appear for in the skill test

Bro im bout to finish pitman shorthand basic book but i have done each excerise write n transcibe only once then i move to next excerise is it gona trouble me in future?
I would recommend you to revise if you're facing problems while writing speed passages.
I have learnt Gregg just by myself through youtube and other platforms and now working on speed but without any guidance it's getting tougher to write kailash chandra as I have to make each and every stroke by myself and it takes lot of time to transcript the whole passage(generally it take around 7-8 day to finish and memorize just one transcription) sir I need ur help. Plzz reply

you can learn at any of them. try to get reviews of some former students before joining. I think you would already have started learning.
How many languages in stenographer?
sir i am writing k.c dictation 10 times.but i am confused whether i should write it at my comfortable i.e 70wpm or should i increase the speed to 75 wpm after writing the same matter correctly within 4 or 5 times or continue to write at 70 wpm till 10 times or more ...please guide.
If you're writing it so many times, u should try to write it at 75 wpm but don't get demotivated if you can't get it perfect. Eventually, after 2-3 attempts, it will get easier.

If you think you're comfortable with it and you are not facing any issues, then you may continue online. In case you find that it's getting difficult to continue the same way, then you should join a class.

You can't learn it in 2 months. Minimum 5-6 months are required. However, if you start learning immediately, by the time of skill test, you might be able to learn it with discipline and dedication.

Start by practice of KC or Progressive shorthand magazine. Check your current speed. Write each exercise 3-4 times. Increase your speed slowly but steadily. Aim to increase your speed by around 5 wpm every week. Even if it takes more time, only move to a higher speed once you've become perfect at the current speed.
