Watching this video is like fist fighting somebody in a dark room with a strobe light on while a car repeatedly rams against the walls and then suddenly everyone is dead
This comment had potential, but then fizzled and failed with the “car ramming against the walls of a room” - How does a car, or cars, ram against the walls of a room? Pity :(
For me? It’s the combo of schizophrenic visuals coupled with the voice actor’s voice being, ironically, the opposite of engaging, natural, convincing, or authentic. In other words, this woman is very transparently overacting.
Motion graphics, not graphic design, that one's kind of well. it is just the motion graphic's timming and choice of how they animated the text what is wrong. Graphic design would take the visual design cues, the issue you have is with the animation cues, and that falls on motion graphics.
Nah buddy. My friend (Who is the DM) showed me Paladins of the Oath of Conquest. I've had an idea for a character and want to practice doing a certain voice for him. I often do voices for my characters, but this guy may push my limits.
Nupe! D&D, Pathfinder and Shadowrun practice here. Just started doing the vocal stuff to make it easier for the DM/GM to tell between in-character and OOC talking.
Hi. These are fun, and well worth the time to watch, learn from, and practice. Thank you. Just for the record, “Crazy Eddie” was actually a guy named Eddie Antar from Brooklyn, who had an electronics chain in 1980s New York City. He acquired that moniker in high school because of his reputation as slightly nuts. I lived through those days, and was working in the broadcasting business at that time. His voiceover guy was Jerry Carroll, a rock ‘n roll DJ at one of the biggest stations in NYC. And yes, once you heard and saw him say, “He’s practically giving it all away!” you never forgot that ad, or the electronics chain he was shilling for. It was great fun; it’s always fun hearing new ground be broken, even if it’s a little obnoxious at the time!
A narrator that says "ex-caping" instead of "escaping," and a video with text that's impossible to read, that also has an extra minute of dead-air at the end of it. Not a real great advertisement for your professionalism, SAV. Sorry, I don't think I'll be turning to you for any coaching.
Number 2 doesn't help me in any way. I literally talk to everyone of all ages the exact same way O.o Also, does the video just...stop at 3:45, and just remain paused for over a minute? O.o
I cannot imagine a worse display of text... constantly displaying out of order and from different directions. It really takes away from the effectiveness of the message.
What on earth is going on with this video? I'm seeing words on the screen that are in a reverse order to what's being said. There's sentences on the video that for some reason stop at a random word and then the voiceover keeps going, and then the same text sentence continues while a new sentence is being is being voiced??? For an instructional video you made it very confusing to actually absorb what you're trying to say.
I was told i have a great voice for voice overs, specifically commercials. No, its not the deepest but it’s there when i want it to be and i can also make that signature “deep voice guy makes high pitch voice you see in commercials”. But I’m too lazy to pursue it, what i have is great but not the best.
This Voice over sounds like the really annoying ones I have to listen to at work all the time. I'd only recommend these exercises if you want to do Corporate Training scripts and nothing else.
Yes; I agree with the person ahead of me ... content is great; however, those jumping words, all the time, have distracted me so much, I had to stop watching the video. They were doing my head in ... madness ... MADNESS!!! Why would such a great company do such a '''stupid''' thing ... !?
The editor just gave everyone epilepsy
Improved my voice, but ended up losing my sight in the process

content is good but the text hurts my head
I completely agree. It's very distracting and I had to just listen to the audio.
@@adamm2571 Indeed my dude!
😂same with me😏
Hahahaha. I started getting dizzy from the text so I scrolled down and then I saw this comment.
Holy heck i thought there was something wrong with me! I mean, more than the normal stuff.
Watching this video is like fist fighting somebody in a dark room with a strobe light on while a car repeatedly rams against the walls and then suddenly everyone is dead
Yeah man
Oddly specific but oh so accurate
Wow
Basically that incredibles 2 scene but with a car 😭
This comment had potential, but then fizzled and failed with the “car ramming against the walls of a room” - How does a car, or cars, ram against the walls of a room?

BYE IM LITERALLY YELLING THIS EDTITING IS SO FUNNY

It’s in sand?

I'll certainly try, lol
@Sophia Deitch LMAO
Read like a manga...
3:46 Did they just die?
Edit: ...Wait a minute- this is for watch time isn’t it?
Right amount... of watch time to get them sweet algorithm points LMFQO
why did the video end like 1min 30 before the actual end
it's like the editor came in swinging hard but then got cocky and leaned too far back
haha cuz the editors be weird ig
It would had been great if they used an actual VO actor to perform these exercises. What an idea!
Am I the only one who is watching this for D&D?
Nah buddy. My friend (Who is the DM) showed me Paladins of the Oath of Conquest. I've had an idea for a character and want to practice doing a certain voice for him. I often do voices for my characters, but this guy may push my limits.
Nope, I was told ahead of time that my character is gonna die so I'm trying out voices for my new character.
Lol I’m here for the same reason! Bring life to my campaign.
Its why I started.
Nupe! D&D, Pathfinder and Shadowrun practice here. Just started doing the vocal stuff to make it easier for the DM/GM to tell between in-character and OOC talking.
Sure, now I have exercises to practice, but at what cost. That text has broken me.

@@iAnasazi I love your comment.

The text is so hard to follow along with, so distracting and unhelpful
Damn. I guess the phrase "Right amount" was so important, they showed it for more then a minute, to really kick in.

I was starting to think this was a troll video and click off until you mentioned muscle memory
Did I hear "exscaping"?
MERRY XMAS
This must be confusing, but is the BEST exercise for voiceover, to read ahead, training your eyes to see the words ahead before you pronounce them
everyone: i cant read it
my big brain: *turns on captions*
The editor did a great job making me focus more on the text than on what it and the ‘teacher’ is saying 😭
Huh, I've already noticed an improvement. I still need more practice but following your tips definitely gave me some more confidence
The edition really hurts but I wanted to laugh at the same time wtf
Everyone: *complains about reading it*
Me: *can actually read it*
Me too
Your eyes can follow the text quickly because you likely watch anime.
the text isn't the worst part really. the first part that sounded like those bot meme channels and the 1min radio silence at the end tho
the text is crazy!!!! is there a benefit for how to improve talking with the type of text and animation you used?
Great tips. Thanks and God Bless you
Why tf does her voice sound like a digital voice? 👀👀
She is very good
BEcause SHE is A VOICE ACTRESS HA HA HA
Wow this helps a lot
Gotta love the monotone delivery of a 'Voice acting Ecersizes', Tip one being 'Inflect your voice so you dont have a monotone delivery'

Whitch Part Of The Video Did You Hear Excaping

also at the start i tought it was a synthetic voice. not that big of a first impact
Any other student knows about this reference while listening to her voice?

I feel like this was supposed to be a video for dyslexic people.
Right amount. .............................................
Well i need to do a voice act as a narrator so this helped
Looking forward for more practice from you.

Thank u so much
Very useful video
Anime voice acting pro tip:
scream everything all the time
Who is the editor of that text
Crazy Eddie was the name of an electronics store. The commercials did have a wild pitch man, but his name was not Eddie.
Unrelated, but does anyone have a discord server that's filled with new voice actors? If you do, please send it to me!
who's the editor
i just wanna have a chat
I tried to read but I feel like I'm bouncing to 😂
I got too distracted with the text i had to rewatch it cause i wasn’t able to catch up xD
My eyes are burning.
