Younger people won't understand the signature thing as much as adults who understand and realize that time is money. Paying another $1-2 for a signature is nothing. Knowing that you spend hours out of your day each time you go there to sign things makes paying that small amount extra well worth it.

It's not even that time is money, it's more so about the fact that because he does it for free it's backing up his orders because so many people are requesting signatures even if they don't actually want one. Like he said, controlling the demand.

If people are complaining about $0.99 extra for a shirt, they obviously cant afford to spend $20 on a shirt in the first place! If you get mad a shirt is $21 vs $20, if money is that tight, you shouldnt be buying a 20 dollar shirt, you should go to goodwill and get those $5 shirts. 99 cents is more than reasonable, I would say more like 1.99 or 2.99.

I think that .99 cents a signature is fine man. Your content is amazing and creative. Don't listen to the haters. it's a part o life and income.
That poor 1 cent was left out...
I've seen a few channels that only sign the first 200 or a certain amount of shirts or posters or any item that can be signed. It limits the amount of stuff you can have to sign but also a limits the amount of people who get stuff that's signed. It's fair because the consumer is the one who determines what stuff they want signed and if they can get it signed. Adam has the control of how much stuff gets signed, if you want something signed order it sooner while there is still a option to get it signed. After the amount of stuff to get signed runs out you always have the next run of tshirts or merch you can have signed while the quota for signed items hasn't been met yet :)

Adam, Sr's have a common issue with the MAFs and you need to add a chassis ground right off of the mafs plug. The factory ground wire starts to increase resistance over the years and then the sensor doesn't provide the right reading to the ecu.
Adam last night I went go karting and just from seeing you drive and the handling I drifted the crap out of those cars.

Charge like $5 for a signature and donate it to a different charity every month or quarter. This will keep the people just wasting your time out of it and then you're benefiting other people as well.
Charging for the signature is very fair. How many of us have bought a .35 cent photo print, for $50 just because it's signed by our favorite race car driver, actor, musician etc? With merch you're getting a $20 item signed for $5! so it's very fair, in the sense that by wanting Adam "who's a celebrity to these people if they want signatures" to sign the more valuable merch for less than said merch.
**side note, perhaps you could use some of the extra money gained by the signatures once a year to donate some bikes for a Christmas gift drive for foster children or underprivileged children? Either way you're not obligated to do anything with the extra money other than help run a business smoother which can have a lot of overhead. Great vids, thank you for always making quality, fun media. Cheers.

why don't you just sign the orders from people who explain why they want your signature, that way you would discourage people who don't even care because they would have to write more than a phrase. However, do you ship to Barcelona? I would love to buy a t-shirt :P

Make people write a simple 2-3 sentence as of to why they want a signature. It will take more time so the people who really want it will be willing to do it. IT IS NOT BEGGING!!!! It is simply an explanation and takes time.
But it takes time to read it and then add all of those up it will just take too much time

I think a good option would be to have your fans fill out a questionnaire/essay,, with consent to be read aloud, to get a signature. This way your fans provide effort to get a signature. It may take longer to sign items because you'll read their responses, but since they've given consent, you can make a video about them!

you could always sign say 10-20 of each item and size that way you have it on hand if you fold and bag your own product you could do it the same day you get the product in. If you know a certain size or product gets more requests you could add more signatures on that product that way your not always running to the warehouse to find dozens of orders waiting for signatures and turnaround on shipping would be faster let me know if you need better explanation but i feel that would be the best way of dealing with it

I completely understand adding a dollar or two for a signature. If I bought something from the site, I haven't yet, I would still pay a buck or two to get your signature. If someone really wanted it then $1-2 dollars isn't that unbelievable I'd say. That's obviously just my opinion though

Please don't get rid of the signature. Sure people will get mad about the fact its not free but at the same time the people willing to pay 1-5$ (not a wallet buster) are the ones how actually care to have one. Sadly when you raise the price on anything people will complain but just know there is more people who understand why you are doing it then the ones who don't. Keep it up!

Just charge the extra dollar it's extremely fair and it's not too much that the people that want your signature can't afford it, but its enough to deter those who don't care. And time IS money and there is nothing wrong with that. People can't expect you to spend hours a week signing things when you can be doing other, more productive things

should have asked me man , had the same issue , plugged in vscd and saw that there was missignitions and my car was feeling so weird : changed the plugs and the boost pressure controle valve, now it works again :D
A great way to sign quick would be to limit to certain items. only sign phone cases, frames, etc. the easy things and if people still want a signature they can order one of the cheaper items that include a signature.

theres not much u can do about signing bc u like doing it for the fans but after so many signatures it gets difficult don't ask anybody what to do just do what you CAN do trying ur best is all that matters
Why not have an option to get a signature for a donation to a charity. Like $1 to a charity for a signature. It limits demand like your toll road example and does some good. Charity can be anything from a children's hospital to a fund that builds bmx parks in low income areas or whatever.
