Returning the Car Back to Stock!?.. Sorta

In this video I take my OEM Saab SatNav radio and return it to stock. Previously I installed Saturn nav parts to update the maps from 2007 to 2016. Unfortunately, due to a few annoyances I decided to return it to stock. Be sure to like, share and subscribe for more content!

Thanks for this update - I was 90% there to going for it, but now that I know about these quirks I think I'll just stay put with the stock radio!

It's worth mentioning that you can replace the reader lense in the stock dvd unit and just use the updated maps for the saab sat nav that are available on ebay. I did that and never had an issue.

I swapped one of mine the same way you did, I should mention nightpanel doesn’t shut off the radio either so that stops functioning.

Interesting! On mine I didn't have any night panel issues. Just that pesky clock that wouldn't retain time adjustments.

Just disconnect and connect your battery at midnight to get correct time reading))

Haha I was doing that but at 12pm and it worked good. Just annoying to have to even do that and got old after a few years

Good call the start up screen is 80% of the reason I retrofitted the factory nav to my car. Still can’t find a nav disk for mine tho
