Good job! You got some good stuff there. I have a few Saab mechanics on youtube that I follow and you are one of them. I appreciate your videos because you are so clear about what you are doing. Maybe I will get the courage to switch fuel pump on my Saab 9-3 Arc after watching your video on how to do it

I know the feeling!! I recently scored a rust, dent free hood from a classic 900 for only $120 quid!!

Thank you for saving those parts. It's such a nice edition of the seats. I'm glad those good part can still be used for a better purpose.

make me happy seeing those pieces going to good use rather than being crushed, those seats are immaculate, and the floor mats are hard to find! I have a 07 anniversary edition myself and am very jealous of that driver seats condition mine has a small tear on the gray strip but besides that is in mint condition everywhere else!
just finished the video, you got all that for an absolute steal! congrats man! definitely subscribing to follow along!

    Hey! Nice find!
I have a Saab 9-3X TTiD from 2010 and live in Sweden. I don't know how to contact you other than writing a comment. I found an interesting fault with my Delphi/Grundig SatNav the other day. It seems like the delphi have encountered a date roll over so it has lost the time. This is something that after I brought it up on a Saab forum in Sweden, have happened to others. This happens after you pull the battery on them after december 2023, then it looses the date. The date cannot be set after that, and so far there is no fix. This affects the diesels more, since you cannot start the parking heater manually or on timer after this. You can still set the time (Hour min) but not the date.
To bad this happened because now the original satnav with updated maps will not be a good alternative anymore!
Thought I bring this up here to let the US community know, maybe somebody have a solution.
    Thanks for the videos! :)

Thanks for sharing! I remember hearing about that with I believe the NG9-5's but wasn't aware this can happen to the NG9-3's as well.

Is it just me or is that 9-3 actually not standing very steady on those rims @11:07?. Not sure whether I’d crawl in there. Nice interior you got there👍

I never feel comfortable crawling under those cars in the yard! For the most part they're sturdy but still makes me nervous just sitting on old rims.

beautifull seats ... tobad it didn't come with the memory function (i miss that on my NG)
starting to wonder why they junked it after finishing the video dont see any major accident damage

I was wondering the same thing! It didn't have any major damage and the interior was in great shape. It must have something mechanically wrong

  • @keefensera2004

What a great find that interior was. Such good condition for its age and for it to be a special trim level as well. Out of curiosity, does the junk yard limit you to an hour, or was that your own time limit? Lucky you know your way around SAABs, otherwise trying to figure out how things are fixed in place would take an hour to start with.

    • @WeakestofWeeks
      @WeakestofWeeks  3 місяці тому

Fortunately they don't limit you on time, I just got there late 1hr before closing. They don't play around either! If you're literally not in the checkout line by the time they're closing they will kick you out. Worst part is they make you leave any pulled parts. Then the next day you have to come back to pay if the parts are even still available.

Here in Sweden we cannot take seats straight away from the junkyards because of the airbags, so you need to take the seats apart, remove the airbags, and only then, you can get the seats. Very unfortunate I would say. Almost all Saabs in junkyards here end up being trashed inside since people try to take the seat covers but most fail, therefore all seats are trash in the end.

So when I am in Sweden this summer I need to remove the airbags from the seats to get them from the junkyard? Is it at every junkyard? I mean I have no problem with strip the seats, just wanted to know before.

@@werner-gunterschmidt1619 the biggest self-picking junkyard is DELPLOCKEN, and from there you cannot take ANY airbags. Not sure how is it with other self-picking places.

I love the fact that you have alerts. I live in San Diego and I'm having troubles getting a few pieces for my 07 Aero. Are you interested in helping me get fog light wiring and headlight washer tank and pump?

I can be on the lookout for those. A few days after this vid, the bumper on this car was removed and sold. Parts on good condition cars like these go real quick

Another good clip! Feel excited for you getting so many good parts.
Do you mind how do you find a junkyard that have the parts you want?
If in the one hour, you did not find useful part, was it free?
