My friends and I were just discussing this series after seeing the trailer for it when we went to go watch the re-release of episode one. While I couldn’t tell you if I’ve seen “Dawn” or “war” just because I feel like there have been a lot more exciting movies being released since “rise”, one thing that does stand out to me is the consistency of these movies. They have always just been kind of lingering in the background while this superhero phase has been running its course. I am very interested in seeing all of them. I get the impression both from your review and the trailers, these are going to end up being genuine hidden gems from this era and probably end up with a cult following not too dissimilar from the original movies.
Most people just want this movie to be an action movie,
But this is better.

That’s a fantastic observation. Quietly solid franchise. It’d be awesome if this just blew up at the box office.
