Nice walk
A beach? Nothing like our Gold Coast beaches out here 😳
Very useful information!
You rock AK, keep it up brother
It was Polytechnic University of Brooklyn when I went to school.
People who want to live in nyc have to see your videos to understand how living in this big city every day can be.
I lived in nyc and it’s not like in the movies
I appreciate your job
I never realized how clean and vibrant Brooklyn is...I always had a negative image of what it would look like. Thanks.
Yea, I guess it depends on where in BK
maybe because it wasn't until recent decades?
It used to be like that not anymore
Just a few years ago, Dumbo were just a bunch of abandoned warehouses, crazy how much money capital can influence an area
depends on neighborhood, aka how gentrified the area is.
2:02 mastered the art of randomly chilling in the streets.
I would really like to thank you for taking the time to show us Brooklyn. I grew up there but moved to Florida in 1970. Thanks again Jess
You’re welcome! Glad I could show you your hometown again
John Dough Well Florida is significantly cheaper than both California and NY and offers a much better quality of life.
@@nealingtypeshi , THE HURRICANES YOU CAN KEEP!!!
@John Dough everyone likes different things. Why should someone like the same thing as you?
@@tax905972 Remember Sandy?
So impressed with the quality of this footage. Never been to NYC so this was a lovely introduction. I now have a visceral and really positive sense of what the city has to offer. Many thanks!
The city has the feeling of positivity all around it that’s for sure!
I can't get over how big New York is WOW! Very cool city.
yessir love my city
Check out Hong Kong or Tokyo..
It makes NY look like a suburb
@@Oden-Heinrich Very true!
Yup, and this just Brooklyn, Queens is much bigger! Plus the other boroughs!
@@LadellTurner and which one is safer? Brooklyn or Qeens?
Your filming is absolutely fantastic 👍 i actually feel im there...also thanks for all the info about time and weather etc really enjoyed this video, keep up the good work actionkid 😎
Did you think how much NY would change in a year due to the current Corona Virus crisis? My hubby is from Brooklyn but haven't been back in more than 30 years. I was able to take him back home with this video, while sitting at home. To see his expression of happiness and hear his stories is priceless. Thank you! You did an awesome job by the way😊
Brooklyn is better post corona. Manhattan is a hell hole. Why did you drag your husband out of the best city on earth
Thankyou so much for this Full Fat, 84 minute video! I love your shorter videos but these feature length tours are a huge treat!
Thanks alot buddy. I've been born and Breed in Brooklyn. Moved out of state with other family when I was 20. My whole life is in that city still. I can't express my gratitude for people like you who give me a good throwback on memory lane
I live in Brooklyn why am I watching this
🤪🤪🤪💋💋💋
I live in Brooklyn heights
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah if i was here
I was saying the same thing😂 , Actionkidd just makes us look even more incredible for the world to see
Vision, cause you don't know or have seen all those areas....just like me.
Thanks for the specific info throughout the video...it is always helpful to have the oral description as well as the visual.
I recently became a Patron because your videos are very informative and relaxing to watch.
Thank you so much for your support!
Have walked the same paths many times with my granddaughters, true children of Brooklyn. So many precious memories.
Wife and I have also walked many paths walked by the narrator.
A little concerned about prospects for the promenade. The playground by Pierrepont is loaded with memories for me.
Thank you, you have changed my perception about BROOKLYN.
53:47 Fruit streets are Cranberry, Pineapple and Orange streets, thus giving the sitting area its name. You likely missed the other two. My favorite neighborhood in Brooklyn, hands down. After a few years away, I am finally a resident again. Thanks for taking the time to share this beauty with the world.
Also Willow St. One story is that the wealthy Miss Middagh, annoyed by rich
neighbors naming their streets, substituted generic fruits and trees. See:
streeteasy.com/blog/brooklyn-heights-fruit-streets-named-cranberry-pineapple-orange. I rented a room there as a poor Bklyn Polytech student.
Interesting informative really enjoyed it. Hi from Ireland. Thank you.
Great tour. So much has changed since I rode the subway daily over the Manhattan Bridge to work. Still a lot familiar, a lot of nostalgia. Thank you.
I have watched this episode many times and never tire of it. Perfect. Well done.
Love love the narrated videos! They're so relaxing and I love how you're narrating it in real time rather than doing voiceover in post. It's so different, I really enjoy it.
Thank you!
Thank you for taking us along this unique venture of New York!.
Thank you for narratoring your video. I am blind and cannot see the footage, but I appreciate the sounds of the city and the narration.
Thank you for another beautiful video. Your production values are top-notch. May the Universe bless you! John.
So many movies and television shows come to mind as you walk through Brooklyn, love it.
Love the narrated videos !!!! So informative !!!! Great camera work !!!!
Last time is twenty years ago. Not back since ... until now. As Corvid lock downer I could not appreciate your efforts enough. Great videos and narratives. Thank you and all the best.
In these days when “duct, here comes a bullet,” is as common as having lunch at the deli, these just walking videos will always be welcomed. Great video.
Your walking tours are awesome man! Enjoy watching all your videos. Keep em coming!!
I just wanted to take a moment to give you a heartfelt thanks and tell you that I truly enjoyed this video. I grew up in the Fort Greene area. I left New York in 2000 for good and everything has changed so much but I know the Brooklyn Heights , the Concord Village, Fulton Street area but I had never been down in dumbo even though I used to take the F train at York Street quite a bit and yes it is a fire hazard.
Thank you so much I thoroughly enjoyed this and keep bringing us these great videos please
Wow! More great information and sights! Love it!
Brooklyn has changed a lot! I lived in Manhattan back then in the 1970's... I will be traveling to NYC in June 🤗 Thanks again for posting so informative videos !!!
With this virus i wonder did you still go
Thank you for the amazing video of Brooklyn......Brooklyn is so beautiful.......I also like the way you introduce every section you walk through.....It mad me want to keep watching till the end...keep posting.....Thank You!
I've been doing walks and drives, especially NYC, LA and London during this home confinement. THIS WALK AND YOUR NARRATION THROUGH THIS AREA OF BROOKLYN AND BROOKLYN HGTS. AND DUMBO is the best I've watched! Just excellent!!! Thank you!❤️

This so pleasing to watch....I never thought I’d like this....but wow I love it!

Thanks! My mom was raised there. It’s great to see. Very pretty area!
Great video with good commentary!
I have been to NYC a number of times but have never seen any of these beautiful areas.
The homes in Brooklyn are so charming and that promenade is so cool!
I LOVED THIS VIDEO!
this video just strenghtened my desire to live in the NYC... thank u for the opportunity to at least imagine being there! such a great job
Brooklyn Heights is realy beautifull. Thank you for the video.

Delightful tour of Brooklyn. Thank you.
Thank you again for your wonderful videos! This was delightful!
I’ve always wanted to go to NY, since I was little but I can’t afford it. This is exactly what I’d spend my days doing walking and admiring every curve ❤️, talking to NY’s people❤️. Thank you so much for your videos and info of Bronx, Brooklyn, Broadway, just ALL of your NYC videos! I’m going to watch them over and over there’s so much to see!
I never been In nyc myself but one day
Why can't you afford it? It's not that expensive for a lifelong dream.
Your vids are the best. Of course, that is easy, you are recording the best city!
Thanks for shared bro, i enjoyed it so much.
Wow i was born in Brooklyn haven't been to Fulton Street in so many years this is a trip down memory lane nice to know a piece of it's history about the Native Americans which I just happen to be
Awesome! I also have a video of Fulton Street by itself from the Broadway Junction to Brooklyn Bridge Park: ua-cam.com/video/k7cH4_lurU4/v-deo.html
I live in Texas but am fascinated with the Brooklyn bridge. Reading about its construction was really interesting. Seems New Yorkers have quite an attraction to it also. Videos are great. Can't go to sleep though to much to see.
Well okay you
Awesome tour and narration - great to see Dumbo at the end, it's SO popular with the Instagramers :)
Thanks. NYC is very much an Instagram city.
I enjoyed this documentary, very interesting. I lived on York & Jay St's when I was born on 01/1941.

Wooow i watch the whole thing lolo very relaxin so calm , Brooklyn has so much history,i feel like I'm there with you biggie smalls Felton Street right goosebumps at..57.54.....
As a former NYC resident born and raised, and now living in So.Cal. I appreciate your City tours. This one stands out because as a snobby Manhattan-ite, I don't know much about Brooklyn. It deserves to be recognized. Funny narrative at times. You do an excellent job....Thanks for sharing the City to the world.
You’re welcome, I enjoy making these videos and hope you stay tuned for more!
Thanks, man! That was a great tour!
Your videos are well filmed and very informative. Thank you.
I absolutely love the videos that you do I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them. God bless you always! It has always been my lifelong dream to be in New York and through you I really get to see it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you!
Thank you very much 😊
Me too. Not going to make it there now, but this is wonderful!
Prepare yourself for a lot of cement and sidewalks. I lived in Midtown Manhattan (E. 44th St) and the sidewalks go forever..............
Thank you for your videos! They are by far the most interesting walking and talking vids I've seen on UA-cam. I can't get enough of NYC:) Keep 'em coming!:) On a side note, I believe the traffic 'going north' is, therefore, the 'northbound' traffic. 'X-bound' is an adjective, not an adverb. Not at the moment, at least:)
God Bless New yOrk!! such real strong people!! all they been through!!!! Tyvm 4 sharing this up load!! & god Bless u 2!!
That was great as always A!
Yes! Narrated bedtime story 😊
You are a wonderful tour guide. I felt like I was there and now know where to go once I get to Brooklyn. Super job!
Thank you very much!
Really great job...i really appreciate the narration...so informative.
Great video - thank you for taking the time and effort to produce it. A great tour of Brooklyn.
Thank you very much for sharing your sightseeing. Very interesting entertaining and full of geographic and historical references! Congratulations and greetings from Portugal

Would rather go Russia than this dhithole Yankee fake country wiv no history hahaha
@@vandamme8866 NY is Capital of the world, stupid!!

A trip down memory lane! Thank you!
Outstanding, born and bred in Brooklyn 71 years ago, now living in the desert south west it was great to see the place of my birth and how it has changed from what I remembered.
i love how he's just talking to the camera and nobody really cares nor pays attention- my anxiety would go brr if i tried to do that
Everyone in NYC is doing their own thing, its just part of the landscape there. It takes a lot to really get people's attention.
like the cringe the blue jacket guy felt from being pulled by his mother holding his hands lol 1:05:30
Excellent narration. You seem to know the history well around town.Good job action kid!
Thank you for the tour! I’ve only seen NY on movies and television. Your tour makes me feel like I’m walking with you. Your city is beautiful
AWESOME video, makes my elliptical time enjoyable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really hope that promenade is saved, it is so beautiful.
Awssome awesome awesome
That was awesome. Thank you.
So beautiful. Thank you!

my absolute favorite narrative video so far. I had so many memories, almost everywhere you walked, and never knew the extensive history. Thank you so much!!! Watching your video Helped me through a tough day.
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing this!!
I did not know they took down the cadman library for that new building. this was a shock for me. Shows I haven't been back there for some time. Great video thank you.
Yeah they did remove it and residents in this area are very disappointed
What a wonderful journey you are some walker, I wish I could tread along like that, but alas age forbids love to you from Co Wicklow Ireland woodenbridge. 🇮🇪🍀🤗
You are such an excellent tourist guide!
Fantastic tour, especially around the bridges on the waterfront. Great job- thanks from Colorado!
Mr. ActionKid, living in San Diego I find your narrated video a pleasure to watch. I've toured NYC but didn't make it to Brooklyn. Thanks for your excellent video.
Can't wait to watch this one when I get home!
That is my last name also..
Love love the narration .... always wanted to see this area !!
wonderful thanks a lot. I saw Harry Chapin live long ago brought back memories.
Awesome Job my Man. Great shots. Do more of these. How about one on Manhattan? Cheers.
Thank you so much! I have plenty of videos recorded in Manhattan already on my channel.
Very nice video of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO.. The Clock Tower Building at 1 Main Street was where i worked for 10 yrs before it became a condominium. The actor, Jim Carrey actually owns the penthouse clock tower apartment. The best neighborhood in all of Brooklyn is right there...Brooklyn and Columbia Heights...including DUMBO. Best to visit the promenade at just before sunset or after dark to see the lights of the city sparkle.; same can be said of walking along the Brooklyn Bridge ..Keep up with the nice videos.
Thank you!
41:10 Wow amazing view. Thank you for investing your time and making this possible.
Nice video. Brought back a lot of memories walking in Brooklyn heights
When i come to NY in June, i will join in your Video :p #smile
Oh Brooklyn.. Brooklyn.. I wish i could go there.. Sometime.. Somehow..thanks for the Brooklyn tour.. ActionKid..
Appreciate your videos man
Really enjoyed watching this! Very smooth video and just right amount of comments!! Will be looking for more of your walking tours!, Again thank you!!!
Love the history of New York... Just some of many places that are named after Dutch background: Breukelen->Brooklyn, Coney Island->Konijneneiland, Bushwick->Boswijk, Flushing -> Vlissingen
Harlem - Haarlem
Epic and informative walk, makes me realise what ground can be covered in 90 minutes in NY. Didn’t realise Brooklyn would be 3rd largest city in USA on it’s own. Amused by the off the cuff dog comments. Very watchable, keep up good work. Ron UK.
OMG!!! So awesome!!!!
Awesome walk. It's great hearing the locals perspective. -Henry
