Endless knowledge. That's why I appreciate your walks so much. You deserve so much more followers.
Mätes thanks so much, I’m working on it!
@@tomdnyc1 You should add a PayPal link in the description box below to tip your virtual tours. It's worth it.
@@maetes Remember what P.T. Barnum said! But seriously, I've lived here over 30 years, and I learn something new from every one of Tom's videos I watch.
this guy is like a walking encyclopedia. Very well done. I have yet seen this river freeze....
Have you seen this short about the Bridge by tomdnyc?! It's hilarious lol ua-cam.com/video/sSAEabXgEug/v-deo.html
You make a good history teacher and tour guide.
The perfect mix of information, comedy and NYC views. Thanks for the video Tom!
Het Thakkar How ironic: that’s how I describe myself in my online dating profile!
These guy is an amazing story teller
Great video! Not only a simple walking video but he tell us all about the bridge! This is great!
Thanks, I'm simply a simple tour guide doing a simple tour!
Amazing walk with great commentary! Thank you for letting us tag along!
World Travel Rafhat thanks for watching!
So much knowledge about this iconic bridge!! The architects were geniuses. The BB structure is incredible!!
I learn a new piece of history with every tour!! Thank you, Tomas!💡🤔📚🍎
Love NY, its history, growth and today however I've never been able to visit. Thank you for showing me around. 💖
I thought it would be funny if the day the bridge was complete, Washington Roebling just got up and was like "Hey look I'm cured from the bends and now I'm gonna be the first person to cross this bridge. Thanks wife for doing the work.
Ha! You know what's crazy is that she was the only reason the engineering contract for the bridge wasn't given to someone else!
Humour education and view on point. My opinion only but i think you are onto something here with raw educational videos of nyc with some quick wit. Whilst the cinematic productions are great they have been overcooked by many vloggers.
So beautiful 😍 💕 love seeing the gothic buildings and the lady liberty 🗽 your so awesome 😎 May your channel keep growing.
I absolutely love New York, favourite places I found where, Eataly by the Flatiron Bld, The Vessel at Hudson Yards, Chelsea Market, walked up and down Central Park, with realising how bloody long it was, Academy Records on 16th, the high line was cool. Ate at Del Fresco's and Gallaghers both very good food and hopefully return next year. Such a vibrant city to walk about, when you set foot in NYC you feel the energy rising up through your feet... another great vid but we need more, not daily more maybe one a week. Informative and a touch of humour..
Thanks, Stevie! More comin' and looking forward to filming outside again!
I recently discovered you through your collaboration with Ken, the ActionKid. Now you are my favorite tour guide for New York. You shared so much awesome and interesting information! Are you so talented that you just naturally have all this information in your head? Or do you spend a lot of time studying these facts? Either way, thank you for being so awesome.
Your knowledge is amazing. I’m from LA, but my family lives in NJ/NY.
Visited NY last week from England. Loved walking the bridge! Best part of my trip. Hope the city recovers and tourists flock back once this Carona virus malark ends. Love you NY.
Thanks, Hina! Walking the bridge is the best.
One of the most knowledgeable you tubers on here. Educational and entertaining, super channel. 👍🏴
im waiting for the scams of NYC Tom would be the best explainer ! Thanks for the Uploads!!
Once again, you make this viewer from Southern California feel like a native New Yorker after watching one of your videos! Your knowledge and delivery are excellent, just enough information to appreciate what we're viewing, yet not overwhelming to make it feel like we're sitting in a high school social science class (lol)......great video!!
mano1971music Glad to hear that since I slept through most of my high school science classes!
I’m from So Cal too.....818! There are some good UA-cam tours of LA too.
Don't know how I didn't find your channel sooner... Love it! Born and raised in NYC, lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, & Queens. And I'm a history buff.
This is awesome after living in DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Gardens for 14 years. The community/region/space is rich.
Ok, my fourth video of your tours this afternoon! I was only there once, but this is how I really love to see it! Thank you!
You deserve way more subscribers than what you have. You are very knowledgeable. Thanks for sharing.
The best Brooklyn Bridge video on UA-cam. By a mile!
We are watching the goat 🐐 this guy is amazing
Tom, you're literally a walking encyclopedia. Impressive 👍
Great video. I learned a lot. I walked across this bridge many years ago. Already it seems more crowded. I could only imagine what it’s like in the summer.
Thanks for the tour, Tom. and might I say, great insights and rich back stories that adds character and context... wow !!
Back when life was normal. You was close to my college man. Great video. I learned a lot about the Brooklyn Bridge because of you🙌🏾💯
I know the history but u make it entertaining. Good job my man
Tom, you are awesome man! I learn so much every time I watch your vids.
I was able to walk across the bridge the last time I was there. It is so cool. If you haven't done it, please do.
I met you from ActionKid . I appreciate all your knowledge. Thank you for Sharing it
This is just before the pandemic.
this is the pandemic... Super Bowl, mardis gras and then super spread to NYC
Back in 86 when I went to Italy for the time, I thought it was weird that she said that when she comes to NY, she wants to walk across the Brooklyn bridge.
The beard and long hair make you seem more chill and fits your personality. I feel like you gonna lecture me with this look.
Lived in Brooklyn in 90s worked in Manhattan used to bike across Brooklyn bridge great views from bridge very awesome most of all at night
I saw you in the actionkid channel from your walk on 57th street new fan here !!! 🙋♂️
Thanks, Gerson!
Great video Tom, thanks! Didn't know much of the history of the bridge although I used to cross it every day to commute from the east village into Dumbo - back then the "affordable" dumbo- for work. It was a great motorbike ride across the bridge, twice a day. Lots of knowledge you are sharing, and clever insights. Keep up the great walking tours, ciao
Wow, yeah, Dumbo is a very different neighborhood now, I'm sure. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
You're a wealth of knowledge. I'm definitely going to visit the Brooklyn Bridge next time I visit NYC.
such a great walking tour, Tom! it's an amazing opportunity to experience the city :)
Thanks, Tanya!
addition for your spiel... the stone for the towers of the BB was quarried from an island off the coast of Maine (Vynilhaven), and back in the day when the bridge first opened children were taught to happily point to this fact with the following saying: "from the vowels of Vynilhaven to the consonants of Brooklyn and Manhattan."
Pretty sure as a kid I fell in love with NYC after watching Godzilla lol.
Tom, have you read Brookland by Emily Barton? It's a lovely fictional account of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. Very evocative but certainly not historically accurate. In any case, I kept thinking about it during your tour. Thanks for doing such a great job with it!
I love Brooklyn Bridge area!
Excellent half hour of entertaining knowledge!
Actionkid brought me here...and i do not regret it!
Thanks, he's the best!
@@tomdnyc1 cant wait for this crisis to end so you can do more of these walks. You're exactly the tour guide i want when i visit nyc for the first time
Fantastic work!
Man, I just recently discovered your videos and immediately subscribed. An added bonus would be to have these videos in 4K, hopefully soon. Keep up the great work.
(Janes Carousel) Nice write-up in 7.19.2020 NYT for Jane Walentas RIP.

Thank you Tom , so interesting , a northerner from England
Tom you need to upload on your channel the videos that you collaborated on with Action Kid. 😀
Roebling also designed one of the bridges here in Cincinnati. The bridge opened in 1847 and is still in use.
Thank you ,holiday booked for April '24 in Manhatten ,hopefully can experience this walk, the history is very interesting ,will do more knowledge on this. Good luck.

You are a wealth of information! Thanks
I enjoyed the "hands on" Brooklyn Bridge lecture. I'm ready to take the exam!
Take it!
best vid yet. new subscriber achieved!
Hey Tom Delgado! You have crazy knowledge. You are talking with so much understanding that it's a pleasure to watch and listen to your videos. Can you suggest literature from where you learn stuff like this? (Architecture books?) I love New York history, so I would really appreciate it if you can suggest something good (something from where you learn for your tour guide certificate). P.S. I'm a student from Croatia and my dream is to come and see Big Apple, although I don't see it in the near future, so some great literature would do its job!
Hey Petar! Some of my favorite NYC books are Gotham, The Island at the Center of the World, Vanishing New York, The Bronx is Burning, and The Great Bridge. Those are all great! Get in touch when you are heading to New York - hopefully I'll be able to give tours by then!
@@tomdnyc1 Thank You!
Thanks Tom. This was great. I was meant to be visiting from Oz. You made me feel like I was there. Love the history and your passion.
Please do a tour walk that includes The Vessel. I always wanted to know about the idea and construction. I love the Brooklyn Bridge. I live in Tucson, AZ but I love New York. Please also do a video about the history of New York Theatre. Broadway and off Broadway tour. Thanks a million.
