Awesome video!! I breed leopard geckos but in the next year I’ll have to get a mate for my crestie when he’s of age!! they are a awesome species. keep up the excellent work.
@Robby's Reptiles my male is no longer interested in the female is it possible she isn't as receptive to his charm because she just shed and how long does it take for a female to gain egg weight I left them together in her tank but didn't see anything before I fell asleep now he's not interested in her 🙄
Hi, I'm trying active pairing now, I put the female and male in the box together, but it seemed to me that the male got quickly rejected and nothing happened. I left them in there overnight and don't know if anything happened or not. After how long can I try actively pairing the same male with another female? Thank you! :)
@@robbysreptiles Thank you, I want to try pair male with different female before I let them live together. Can I ask you how long a pause does a male need between mating with another female?
@@robbysreptiles do you only put the hole for the breeding tubs or do you have some sort of cage that the user needs to be in themselves? ( sorry for being confusing)
Couldn’t you just put the male in the females enclosure so then the female can just lay the eggs in her enclosure. Also I don’t like the idea of putting the male in an enclosure with a bunch of females because if they lay eggs, you won’t know who’s they are.
🤣 you have become my favorite gecko breeder UA-camr, lol. I just binged watched a few videos. Great content. Very informative.
He'll yes that's the goal
You say prolapsed hemipeen, I say circumsision
Oof

Glad to hear it!
This video literally saved my gecko from having prolaped hemipen
How so?
Lol very interesting
I'm panning to actively pair mine they are both ready and have tried to mate but they keep falling of the glass 😂
Yeah put em in a love tub!

If you don't think anything happened maybe try letting them live together

The things I would do to be that mason jar
What 🤣
Do you actively pair the two just once for the season or multiple times to make sure all the eggs are fertile?
Some times a Female will run out of sperm, so usually around their third clutch I will repair
Is there a certain time of year and temp that’s best for this?
Technically yes, spring or late winter. However you can successfully pair them year round
Do you put holes in the tub or it’s there no open parts for them?
I put a large hole in the front of all my enclosures for ventilation now
@@robbysreptiles thank you! Just wondering, is that for breeding or normal enclosures?
@@shadowroblox6775 I'm not sure what you are referring to

I passively breed my geckos so they just live together for a few days
Love you 😍
Where do I see your available animals
None are available rn!
@@robbysreptiles how about when they are
Have you ever had a pairing that wouldn’t breed with eachother? Or that you had to split apart because it was too aggressive?
I've had them not breed. But never be too aggressive. I mean they're always aggressive. Some humans like to exclusively breed aggressively as well

You only keep the males in there for like a few days at a time per female. Or 1 male 2 females for a week
How do you know when your female is too old for breeding. I have a girl that I don't know her age.
She would look quite old and pale, and you won't know til you breed her, if she constantly lays awful eggs that's a retiree
