    Agree with this 100%. Absolutely. Been using honey for over 15 years. For protein, I'll throw in ground BSF larvae. And, YES on the blended roaches. Right on.

    Umm instead of blending the hornworms can I smash them instead? I don’t think I can justify blending insects to make gecko food to my parents.

    • @robbysreptiles
      @robbysreptiles  2 роки тому

      Smashing them sounds incredibly painful and time consuming, blending would end it instantly. And then you would have huge chunks of them in the food instead of their protein being evenly distributed in the mix. But hey, you do you

    Would you do the same things for baby geckos? My gecko has only grown around 1 gram in 4 months (he was 2.5g when I got him and now he is 3.8g). I know he is eating because he'll eat infront of me and has a healthy amount of poop, but having him as my first crested gecko, I'm not really sure if this is a normal growth weight. He isn't super intrested in bugs, but I'm going to try to get an even smaller size of crickets and see if he might be intrested in them.

    • @robbysreptiles
