Agree with this 100%. Absolutely. Been using honey for over 15 years. For protein, I'll throw in ground BSF larvae. And, YES on the blended roaches. Right on.
4:27 - "They're also bugs. They don't have souls" This got me laughing so hard XD I'm trying to mash up dried mealworms (because my crestie eats them like crack). I got to try out hornworms sometime to feed him.
Perhaps, it's just too fast from their natural diet for me to want to add the raw ingredient to their food. The egg white powder you add in teaspoons composted to a whole egg white
Great videos by any chance do you have a recipe of what your doing ratios ? Example (1p gecko food 1p protein 1/4p honey 1 horn worm 3p water again this is just me guessing your ratios)
@@robbysreptiles thanks for the reply maybe for one of your videos you can show us your method the ingredients can get costly and just wondering how the pros are doing it again thank you for the reply
Hello, New member see al of your vidoes (almost all😃) i am from Europe and all the wey supplement are Whit salt, is this bad for the geckos? Thx for all and hopely a answord😉
Processed (heated) honey has no nutrients or beneficial bacteria. Just like how pastured milk has no health benefits but raw milk is the healthiest thing in earth for humans
@@robbysreptiles okay cool! I’ve had a lot of luck with it so far. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a very tough gecko that I’m finally getting some healthy weight on! Couldn’t be happier.
Would you do the same things for baby geckos? My gecko has only grown around 1 gram in 4 months (he was 2.5g when I got him and now he is 3.8g). I know he is eating because he'll eat infront of me and has a healthy amount of poop, but having him as my first crested gecko, I'm not really sure if this is a normal growth weight. He isn't super intrested in bugs, but I'm going to try to get an even smaller size of crickets and see if he might be intrested in them.
@@robbysreptiles ok. Thanks. I was starting to get a little worried with his growth. I mean he looks healthy otherwise, he is just growing super slowly. I have some organic honey that I will add, and I'll try to order some whey protein as well!
@@robbysreptiles haha. Ok. Sounds good. For the whey protein, would it be better to get whey protein concentrate or isolate? I can only seem to find whey concentrate that is 100% only whey, all of the isolates I have found have other at least 1 other ingredient.
Fucking hilarious, dam your a Savage but you might get cancelled with all the crazy people these days. thank you eager to try some of this out I got a female seems like she has been 30g for 6months or more
Smashing them sounds incredibly painful and time consuming, blending would end it instantly. And then you would have huge chunks of them in the food instead of their protein being evenly distributed in the mix. But hey, you do you
I have a few older geckos that I bought from someone and I’m trying to bulk them up, this vid was very helpful!
I never thought of honey. I have plenty of organic local honey in my cabinet! My Mom keeps giving me a jar every Christmas and Birthday! Lol
Perfect free growth formula muahahaha

i couldnt anymore. i died of laughter when he said 'blend m"
Thank you for the tips! You had me cracking up throughout this whole video. Keep up the great energy and videos.
Thank you!
So glad I found your channel. Straight to the point.and hilarious. Don’t forget the organic unicorn tears in the ingredients 😂
True I started adding that in 2023
Love your style man! Instant fan my man. Love it went people just get to the point and keep it 100% real
Thank you
gonna try this with my younger geckos :) thank you!
Dope
Thank you for these great tips! Could you be a bit more specific on the quanties you use for each? Love these videos!!
Good gobs of each is my measurement
Can I add optimum nutrition whey protein? Cuz I only have that
ONLY add single ingredient pure protein
Nice feeding tips! Will definitely look into doing this with some of my geckos lol
This is really useful thank you! Also I loved all the jokes 😂
Glad you enjoyed!
Hey Robby. What´s the ratio per gram of WHEY onto Pangea or Repahy? Thank you.
Never weighed it in that much detail. I add very little in the grand scheme of things
What whey protein do you use or does any 100% grass feed organic whey is good
Doesn't have to be grassfed but single ingredient whey protein if you want to add it
Im gonna have one gecko only so hey I might add some whey and organic honey to my shakes.
Is cow whey or goat whey better for the geckos ? Thank you !
Either is probably fine, I just prefer goat because studies show its more easily digestible
What specific brand of whey is that, also do you add whey, egg powder and honey all at once then blend that with the Pangaea and insects?
I do stuff like this once a week, I feed 2x a week. And any brand of whey works as longnas it's ingredient is only whey
@@robbysreptiles what about temperature? I've heard keeping them warmer keeps their metabolism high n eating more hence grow more or at least faster.
I keep mine at 72 just cuz AC reptiles mentioned on a podcast that higher makes babies burn more calories than they eat and I've noticed the same
@@robbysreptiles what's your gradient? High, low?
@richardsanchez5444 just a constant 72 on the mini split. Weatheroutside makesnitnup or down slightly
Good video🔥gonna try using the honey for my gargoyle geckos
Good!

When should you upgrade a baby tub
I wait til like 20grams
Can I also blend a raw or cooked egg (without the yolk) in the diet instead of the protein powder?
Eh, maybe? I wouldnt
@@robbysreptiles why you wouldnt? Is there any difference between dried egg and the cooked? ....except it is dried.

Anyone worried about if the bugs don't die quick they definitely die slower when being eaten by the lizards.

Can I feed my 3 month old crested every day? I’ve been doing it for a week
You can feed any gecko every day, whether they actually eat it is up to them
Dude you look jacked
Dude I used to be
could you use procesed honey? is it bad for them?
love the videos
Processed (heated) honey has no nutrients or beneficial bacteria. Just like how pastured milk has no health benefits but raw milk is the healthiest thing in earth for humans
What's the brand name of the whey you use?
Anything grass fed and organic
Do you feed whey in every feeding?
Almost!

Where is the best priced place to order hornworms? They are a little spendy which is fine but I love a good deal to!
I order off ebay in bulk, get about 30 at a time
I only added honey and they ate much more the first time.🤙
Glad to hear it!

That's slow growth! Try adding honey or some whey to the diet, he will eat the same amount but get more calories

Umm instead of blending the hornworms can I smash them instead? I don’t think I can justify blending insects to make gecko food to my parents.
Smashing them sounds incredibly painful and time consuming, blending would end it instantly. And then you would have huge chunks of them in the food instead of their protein being evenly distributed in the mix. But hey, you do you
Buy a cheap bullet blender off Amazon. Then you have one specifically for your geckos. And you won't have to use a family one. That's what I did.
