Agreed. I have him tattooed onto my leg, I adore him after the choice he made. I think he’s one of the characters that has the most character growth during chapter six.

I think he might be the NRC Overblot with the most character development- EVER. I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening to any of the other characters... He showed so much change in the whole of book 6 which is cannonically just a few days. There are a few are moments (vignettes & events) when he's a really nice person, & his smile is so heartwarming.
Also, credit to Riddle- he's struggling but he's trying his best. There's notable development. The others had almost no change... 🥲

The upcoming books will drastically leave an impression on you with the characters. Once all is said and done it will be interesting to see where they sit after it all.

I wasn't really a fan of Pomefiore either, I wasn't a fan of Rook, though some of his really weird vignettes made me laugh, and while Vil and Epel could have their moment nothing grabbed me. Then Book 5 made me respect them, then Book 6 made me LOVE them, easily the biggest turnarounds to one of my favorites. I'm so excited

Everyone Pomefiore is a homie, I love those weirdos. Deuce is husband 1000% that is my pookie bear! Hot take BUT I absolutely love Sebek. His determination and loyalty to Malleus are very admirable traits to me. He can be a bit rough around the edges for sure, but I still love him lol

and i understand your apathy for pomefiore, esp given you're only at book 4. book 5 is a lot longer than book 4 so you'll get a lot of time to meet them in the main story, but i'd say they really grow on you by book 6 with how the narrative has them assist you in that one.
with leona in the homie level i imagine he's in the group chat but he has it on mute. the only way you and the others can contact him is if you contact him directly lol
my homies are grim (ride or die), ace, deuce, epel, jack. and like as much as book 6 helped understand idia as a character, which i appreciate, i would still avoid him bc i just can't be friends with him lol like playing video games with friends should be fun but i can imagine hating every minute playing with him bc he'd be unnecessarily snarky about beating my ass in the game.

I feel almost the same as you and I'm also at the end of book 4. Maybe the main difference is that I'd desperately want Jamil to be my homie or husband but he'll probably treat me like he does Azul.
PS: end of book 4 squad unite (I'm just starting book 5!). I also already know Malleus literally can do no wrong ever and I'll never regret saying this.

I've always liked how unapologetically weird he is. He became one of my faves at the end of book 5, and then I fell in love with him in book 6.
And yeah Sebek is, something 😅 I imagine he'll be better in book 7, but for now, yeesh.

I mean about jamil and ruggie, they're both kinda devious and they won't hesitate to use you for their personal gain. At least in my opinion

like I was meh on Cater, and then I got his Halloween card and his vignettes in there made me go 🥲 "oh no same trauma i absolutely love him now" 🤣
Either way, I really enjoy twst's characters and writing. Sometimes I wish a couple of the books could have had a smidge more wrap up, but I think they overall did a great job making a lot of complex characters that aren't immediately noticeable until you get deeper into their individual card stories 👏
I can guarntee once you get to books 5 and 6 you'll definately change your mind about Pomefiore and Ignihyde.

Recently found your channel, and I LOVE your Twisted Wonderland play-throughs! 😂
I initially tried out the game last year during the initial Global release, but since I play several other “Gacha” games, I didn’t get into this one right away. (I also stupidly uninstalled the game without binding my original account, so oops!) Came back to the game after watching the latest Anime Expo stream and meeting the Japanese VA’s for the first time. Also, I’m a sucker for convention promos in game, so . . .
Anyway, two weeks later and I’m stuck on Book 3’s Blot Battle and just finished the “Wish Upon a Star” event. I’ll give you my rough-estimate character rankings (as of Book 3, for me):
Husbando: None of them! For me, I’m “Old”, so I’d want to adopt one or two of them as my sons.
Homies: Grim, Deuce, Ace, Trey, Jack, Ortho (after “Wish Upon A Star” - He’s adorable, and a total keeper!)
Friend: Idia (I totally “get” him. He can’t be a Homie, and I’d just let him be himself, but we’d be totally streaming friends), Riddle (I WAS GOING TO “Void Zone” him, but his backstory got to me. I’ll keep him for now.) Trey.
Friendly Acquaintance: Cater (I just “can’t” with him!), Leona, Ruggie, Lilia
Some dude I know: Kalim, Jamil (I feel like he low-key wants to shank him and is waiting for the right moment, because UGH, KALIM!), Sebek, Malleus, Epel. Mr. S (From the shop - I like his design),
Avoid: Azul, Jade, Rook, Silver (dumb as a stump!), Crowley (Of course he’d name himself after RL “Aleister Crowley,” a known and notorious mystic and occultist - also, narcissist much?!), Most of the teachers (except for the cat).

You don’t need to use gems for lessons. I never do. The lessons refill after about 2 hours.
And as long as you login occasionally you should have a couple items that automatically refill your lessons.
I only use my gems to roll for cards
@@LovesOfLaurynusing gems makes things so much easier, it’s why I don’t really pull much cus I’m trying to do the lessons quickly before I lose interest 😅 I don’t think I’ve logged into twst in like a month or smth cus I don’t wanna wait on the refill while out of gems 😭

2 hours is a bit too long so I usually forget to do them. I can go a whole week or two complete forgetting to do the lessons 🤣
But if it makes you feel better, I’ve done the bare minimum and I was able to make it this far. It’s only recently that I’ve been putting a little more effort into the game.
Also participating in the events is a good casual way to level up. And the events are pretty fun too

I love watching this!! I feel we have some of the same picks and I liked many of your reasons:
Husbands: Leona, Malleus and Jamil. I spend most of my resources on them. I loved the whole- I want to be friends with Jamil but he don't really wanna be bothered with anyone. -
I rather like that type myself because I'm the not wanna be bothered type. I think by not chasing him and giving him space he'll come around. Same with Leona.
Was with you on Pomefiore. Snow White wasn't my fav movie so I wasn't particular. Hercules was so I was sure I'd like Idgnihyde. Book 5 happened and Pomefiore switched places with Idihyde. Idia gets on my nerves too especially in some of the events. So now they are last on list. Ortho is cool but not friends to me. Just a guy on campus. Book 6 was great but not enough for them to move up the ladder as Pomeifore did.
Homies: First year gang!! Grim, Deuce, Ace, Jack and Epel
I'd like to think I'd be friends and sit at most of their lunch tables. Except Igihyde.
Ps: I see your point about Kalim but he's one of my fav so I think we'd be friends. 😊 He's extroverted and I'mintroverted, so I might have to hide a bit, to get my battery operational again but he's a sweetie.
Crewel is my favorite teacher. The rest I love except Crowely and Vargas. I do like Crowley but he wishy-washy but funny but still would like to avoid. Vargas....listen I don't like physical activity on a good day. This man is physical on steroids. Avoid more than Crowley in my book. Have you seen Vargas camp events yet?
When you finish Book 5 and 6, it would be great to redo this and see if anything changed.
I’m definitely avoiding ignihydes table too. If they even have one lol.
And I agree, I’d definitely have to recharge my social battery after awhile when I’m with kalim.

First off, I love watching your videos!! I just had to get that out there. Anyway, I feel like we had pretty similar views on most of the characters.. some of them I placed in different spots but I didn't have any real disagreements about your list.
Husband: Jack (I wasn't expecting him to stick around either but then he really kept coming through for us and over time I just fell in love.)
Homies: Deuce, Ace, Grim, Leona, Malleus, and Lilia (Deuce is my favorite character, but I just wouldn't be sure how I'd feel about marrying him.. he's just my silly lil guy.)
