@@oasis_maker believe silver is twisted from aurora herself, not the sword. i mean, silver has sleeping issues, he can talk to animals and his (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!) UM makes him able to enter people's dreams (the spell itself has parts of "once upon a dream", aurora's song, in it, like when he's casting there's a part where he says "to whom i met once, to whom i'll meet someday" or smth like that; also his line in diasomnia's dorm trailer is also a reference to aurora: "weird, i have a feeling we already met once"). in chapter 7 as well, lilia gives him a box with a pendant inside that's shaped like aurora's crown and he says that it was with silver when lilia found him, so he's the rightful owner. lilia (and a bunch of other characters as well, including mickey) also comments on silver's eye color, which is like aurora's. adding to these, there's also the fact that he was "abandoned" as a baby and raised by a fae, which is similar to aurora's story, so i believe that, just like kalim, he is no villain but based on a "hero" character

An easier way to tell Floyd and Jade apart (at least for me) : Just look at their eyes, Floyd's are downturned - the corners of his eyes go DOWN, while Jade's are upturned - the corners of his eyes go UP (giving him a more "serious" look ig)
I use their hair streak. Also if they're in their dorm unifom it's way easier since Floyd doesn't do his bowtie properly and leaves his coat unbuttoned.
There are actually a few more ways to tell the twins apart, for example, their tie, how they smile, and if you cant see there face their earring.
I tell them apart by looking at the way they dress, Floyd has an unbuttoned shirt and loose tie and Jade just looks formal-
But if they're wearing something different I tell them apart from they're face-
Jade explains in one of the card stories(forgot which) that one way to differentiate him and Floyd is their hairs streak. Floyd's is in the left so it will be like letter F, and Jade's is in the right so it will be like letter J
Okay my explanation is kinda a mess but when you look at them you'll understand I guess 😅. Also, yes, you can also notice it from the way they dress, Jade's tidier and Floyd's is messy

I think Ortho is based on Cerberus. In Greek myth, Cerberus had a less famous younger brother with two heads named Orthrus.

@@calxiyn no other dogs, but their other siblings in the myths were the hydra and the chimera, not that those details ever really come up as any kind of significance in the myths. That said, Hades did have the hydra in the Disney movie (get up on the hydra's back!) while the chimera did appear in the Hercules TV show in two episodes (not owned by Hades but as a minion for the chimera's mother, Echidna, who in the myths is also the other monster's mother, their father being Typhon). That also said, both the hydra and the chimera in the myths were female, so maybe they have sisters?

We should also go into the fact ortho is confirmed to be 16. Im behind on chap 6 but i do think ortho is dead/dieing because the boy is pretty much just a robot at this point being kept alive by his brother.
Spoilers:
In chapter 6 (Japanese) there’s an over-blot/over-blot monster version of ortho and it’s revealed that that’s the original ortho and he died turning into the monster and our ortho is a robot iida made in his unacceptable of his death so it’s the 2 orthos look up chapter 6 over-blot ortho or a translation of episode 43-45 to English on UA-cam and you’ll see what I mean

Riddle Rose hearts: inspired by the Queen of Hearts, his unique magic is Off with your Head, it seals others magic away for as long as he desires.
Trey Clover: vide dorm head, inspire by the club, his unique magic is Doodle Suit(og japanese name) it changers the perception of his targets senses
Cater Diamond: inspired by the diamond, his unique magic is Split Card, he can make duplicates of himself
Duece Spade: the spade, unique magic is in spoiler territory
Ace Trappola: the heart card, no unique magic
SavannahClaw: The Lion King
Leona Kingscholar: inspired by Scar, his unique magic is King's Roar, anything he touches turns to sand
Ruggie Bucchi: inspired by the Hyenas, unique magic is Mimic, his target will copy his movements
Jack Howl: inspired by wolves because every anime needs a wolf character, unique magic is Beast Transformation, he turns into a wolf

Azul Ashengrotto-inspired by Ursala, his unique magic is Its a Deal, when someone signs a contract Azul takes their magic as his own
Jade Leech-inspired by jetsom, his unique magic is Zap the Heart, his target can't lie when asked a question
Floyd Leech-inspired by flotsam, unique magic is Bind the Heart, his target's attacks won't hit him

Kalim Al-Asim-inspired by the Sultan, his unique magic is oasis, he can create large bodies of water out of thin air
Jamil Viper-inspired by Jafar, unique magic is Snake's Whisper, he can hypnotize his target into doing whatever he says

Vil Schonheit-inspired by the evil queen, his unique magic Fairest one of all, any object he touches becomes cursed and whoever touches said object won't be free until certain conditions are met
Rook Hunt- inspired by the hunter, no unique magic confirmed
Epel Felmier-inspired by the poisoned apple, no unique magic confirmed
Ignihyde-Hercules
Idia Shroud-Inspired by hades, no uniqe magic confirmed
Ortho Shroud- no solid inspiration, no unique magic confirmed
Diasomnia-Sleeping beauty (the japanese story has yet to reach this dorm, so no unique magic is confirmed for anyone yet)
Malleus Draconia-inspired by Maleficent, a dragon fae and a royal
Lilia Vanrouge- no solid inspiration but he is a bat fae, second in command, He and malleus are very old but lilia has strong dad vibes
Silver-inspired by prince philip's sword, he is human but was raised by lilia, so he is lilia's adopted son, comes off as lazy but he is serious in his duty as Malleus' bodyguard
Sebek Zigvolt- inspired by the green lighting, he is half fae, He's very serious and boisterous, he takes his duty as Malleus' other bodyguard super serious, he's often yelling at Silver so its kinda like a one sided rivalry.

In the ignihyde chapter rooks unique magic was confirmed to be the ability to track someone

Lilia is also based on the 3 good fairies. His cooking skills, the fact he raised our sleeping beauty (silver), as well as alot of his personality.
Silver is based on sleeping beauty as well as the sword. His connection to animals, his falling asleep alot. I think his unique magic may accoully be able to control or talk to animals. kalim said once his cousin can control tigers (we can guess who they are) so it isn't to far of a stretch.
Sebek also shows signs of connection to the croc from peter pan. Not only his he called crocodile by a few people his name is like Sobek the god of Nile who is shown as a crocodile.
(Diasomnia is my dorm so i know a little to much about my boys)
Epel's special magic is one that can freeze is opponents in this glass like barrier ,i forgot the name of his magic,but he uses it on idias chapter when he kidnaps the characters that have overbolted

Vil isnt as vain as you might think. He works hours everyday to make his looks as perfect as possible. He will suffer what ever he must for his looks. It isn't just he looks he works at. He is incredibly intelligent and hard working. He also knows alot of different kinds of hand to hand combat. He also isn't afraid to get dirty if he must. He can come off as mean but that because he is someone who believes in tough love. He not going to make someone do something he himself isn't willing to do. He just wants everyone to be the best versions of themself even if he has to be the villain to get then there.
(I am a huge Vil simp. At first i thought he was just vain/mean but the more i learned the more i grew to love him. Vil is best boy)
OMG our little Vil is really trying really hard. And I agree with you that more I get to know him the more I love him and S I M P. I think he's really cute it's also very beautiful.

For Jack, I think he represents Akeela from the Jungle Book. Not a bad guy per see, but he sent Mowgli away.
i could see that. akeela is the only white wolf i can think of and he isn't from sunset savana like leona and ruggie are, so he wouldn't necessarily have to be from the lion king. i thought maybe because he came from the same neighborhood as vil that he would have been based off of a snow white character as well, but there aren't any wolves in that unless i'm forgetting one from snow's run through the forest in the beginning or one of her forest friends.

lilia's name is pronounced as "lee-lee-ya/lee-lya" while idia's is "ee-dee-ya/ee-dya" :DDD alsooooo there's a reason why kalim, despite being the dorm leader of scarabia (jafar dorm), is based on the sultan and not on jafar i promise it will make sense once en server releases chapter 4 but it will be huge spoilers so ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I think Silver is based on the sword that was used to kill Maleficent not sure though while him sleeping like Aurora/ attracting animals and also having a prince like smile could be hint towards him being based on aurora/prince philip considering he likes training and is very good with a sword I think he might be based on the sword also his name is Silver and swords are usually silver but that's just my opinion I hope we find out more about him soon
Reading the vignettes, he has sleeping issues as well. I have this theory that Silver isn’t actually a villain character but belongs at the other school, like the Cheshire Cat dude. Cause even the sword that kills Maleficent would make Silver a “good guy”.

That’s interesting! Rook is interesting because even though the Huntsman works for the Queen, the Huntsman changes and doesn’t kill Snow White. Whereas Kalim seems like the Sultan, and the Sultan also wasn’t evil. Interesting that there may be a connection like that!

How does it work exactly? Like I thought the whole thing with Trey’s story in Book 1 was that he could change your perceptions of things. Like how he makes the pie taste like something else.

Basically, he can transmutate peoples magic. But not JUST magic. Also general energy?
@@calxiyn he can change any quality of something he wants. Usually this means "tastes like pie" becomes "tastes like smoothie" or when he made the "roses are white" become "roses are red". Basically, write a sentence and change one word, pretty much. It doesn't last long and reverts back soon enough. The pie wasn't magic, he just used magic on it to change the flavor.

Then he used that to cancel out Riddle's magic in Book One. He made "Riddle's magic" become "Trey's magic". So theoretically, he could even steal people's magic with it. Good thing he isn't evil or psychotic, otherwise he'd be pretty broken.
@@calxiyn to my knowledge no. Sinse we only seen his magic in book one and no other chapters. But the cake thing is general magic/cooking skills i guess? It hard when you don't really know how magic works here or there is like cooking magic 🤷♂️
13:08 everyone seems to think he was inspired from the lion king as Leona and Ruggie were, but the only thing I could think for Jack’s villain inspiration to ME would be the live action beauty and the beast or even the animated one! where belle and her father was being chased by the same wolfs just like Jack is. That’s the only explanation I can think of that would make somewhat sense. 🤷🏻♀️

I do! I stream the game on Twitch but I will be editing my playthrough for UA-cam. I have chapters 1-8 of the prologue on my channel already, but on Twitch I’m all caught up (except for the end of Book 3 which I gotta do on Saturday). So Twitch is real time whereas UA-cam may be behind for a little bit
They say it's not an otome game but there's SO MANY otome moments.

Hey Calxiyn, I have a question. What do you think about the characters Unique Magic and how it connects to the characters personality? Or any posible theories on what are the characters who don't have Unique Magic (yet) is?
I would say that Unique Magic probably is similar to Semblance like RWBY - I think it's born from personality, but also more possibly is a combination of personality and trauma. For example, Azul's special magic clearly is a combo of personality, but it's personality that is also based on his traumatic experiences as a child. As for why some characters don't have special magic yet, I assume that traumatic experience may have not happened for some characters yet. Instead, maybe we can call it a "life changing experience". Say for Ace, maybe his life changing experience hasn't happened yet.
