on the noopsyche they can be heared definately, but its not much worse than my radion g5 pro's.. running one on a reefer200xl, getting 500 par in the middle/middle with every channel on 60%... its stupid how much par those noopsyches put out.. also wifi direct is working great, never lost any sync or time.. they are fantastic for the money
@@aronjanssen5702 Lighting tech has gotten insane since I started in the hobby in 2002. We were using florescent and metal halides that jacked up your electric bill like crazy!
Yoo, I just bought a pair of these Noopsyche K7 V3's last weekend. Can't wait for them to get here. The equivalent wattage for radions would have cost me over 2 grand. I got the pair of Noop's with mounting arms for less than $400
Smart move! I have been using the pro11 for over 4 years with no problems! Great leds and when they go out I will upgrade to those! I love the fact that they dont need a separate controller too! Thats the only problem I have had is controllers and even then it was my fault because they got wet!
Good overview. Maybe next time include links to the products you describe. I just bought the K7s, so far I like them. Although I cant seem to get the app to work yet.
I could buy a single kessel can-light for like $400, or I can buy a a couple nicrew 50w for $200. If you're willing to go outside of fishtank branded gear, basically every grow light manufacturer has a couple of options that would work, look for things branded for hydroponics.
Thanks for the info, I agree a big part is what are your goals? If you want high end coral and peak coloration, some of the more expensive gear can make that easier and more attainable.
The noopsyche k7 v3 is a good light. I have one on my monti tank. Honestly, it's not for beginners. But the light is really good. What are your settings? I love my k7.
Why not good for beginner? I’m a beginner cycling my first 15g Nuvo fusion was thinking ai hd16 at first now I’m thinking either aquaknight or nicrew 50watt or 100
@@kaldenkyulo4100 I think setting up any led lights with controllers are not beginner friendly. Beginner friendly to me is a kessil where you choose the color you like and adjust the intensity over time depending on the coral types. The light is designed to grow corals under any of the color choice you like. Ai, hydras, noopsyche, radianons* , etc you have to adjust the colors and intensity manually, and if you have no experience, how do you know where each color needs to be at? That's how people kill corals for a while, untill they figure it out, and then run to a different problem with the tank. What I would do is just ask someone who has the lights you want or have and ask for their settings. That's why I asked you. I found a settings on my noopsyche that grows my MONTIPORA. I don't have a par meter so I ask others who might have used one to compare numbers.
@@kaldenkyulo4100 get the noopsyche k7 v3. It's a good light for the price and it gives you the metal halide shimmer. I'll tell you the settings I use for my SPS.
The mini version I’m guessing? I have 15gallon with like 11-13 gallons of water. The guy at my reef store told me about the nicrew 50watt he use because I told him I wasn’t trying to pay for a ai prime and double my overall equipment cost, I’m just doing mainly soft, few lps & some easy fish
@@kaldenkyulo4100 I'll tell you straight up, the ai prime and and the kessil A80 need some more balls. The 2 lights I recommend for your size tank is a noopsyche k7 v3 or a kessil 500x tuna blue. I have a 14gallon all in one with a noopsyche k7 v3. It took me 5 months to dial in the lights, where as a kessil 500x it will be easy for you. For 2 noopsyche you can get 1 kessil.
Oh hell no! You arent just a college student on a budget, you are a smart reefer! I have the money if I wanted to be stupid but rather save it buy nicer corals! I have lots of coral growing just fine with my noopsyche and H&M aquatic life leds. I also have 6 jaebo wave makers! I use egg crate for a lid as well! My God those kits cost an arm and a leg and then you have to build them yourself! This video gave me a great idea. I am going to buy the same jaebo cross flow! I never thought of putting one on the side of the tank. I have one in front and one in back of both side! I am going to buy one now and save it for when mine goes out! I am a budget reefer like you and they have some open box returns much cheaper right now! lol Great video!
because they don't last that long. So when you buy a used light it might burn its lens after a couple of weeks. the fact they only give a year waranty says a lot about how much they trust their own product
True I also have an low budget reeftank. Works greatv
Are the fans loud on them, any noise produced by them?

budget does not mean bad quality. good video!
Agreed! Thank you very much 🙌🏽

It really is a great deal! I hope the lights workout for you 😁 my corals seem to be happy under them!

ATO recommendations?
Smart micro ato!

Absolutely! Been working on an Amazon storefront for all of the products!
Hey man, you should have a link to the lights in the description
I bought this unit lighting v3, it's good but never stayed On regardless of hrs configuration so I returned it :(.

Perhaps in exchange of the limited control you have with those lights is stability.
Thanks for the info, I agree a big part is what are your goals? If you want high end coral and peak coloration, some of the more expensive gear can make that easier and more attainable.
Totally disagree on that! I have lots of highends growing just fine with great coloration using noopsyche and H&M leds and Jaebo powerheads!

Beautiful tanks man 👏👍
Thank you! 🙌🏽
You can mix all BTA. I have a 10 gal full of rainbows and roses where they all touch with no sign of distress
Thanks for this! I actually just picked up a rose bta today :)
The lid you made doesn't work as a defuser, it actually is blocking light going into your tank.
That's wrong. That's light defuser. It's made to spread light. It's a physics thing. It's not made for eggs.
you are wrong, it block some light@@HCBCHEMISTRY
I just prefer Kessil a80, and a160. They aren’t that expensive and they are better then budget stuff.
What’s your settings on a80
lol nobody will tell you the ratio of light and type of corals, because it all depends the animals you want to keep
Just grab a used AI 32 for the same price and get better quality. You’re gonna spend it anyways so why buy twice.
Can't argue with this! Used equipment is the way to go. Just wanted to throw some 'new' options out there for people that can't find used products.

Both my hydra 32s died in a little over a year..What a scam.
