that would be cool. maybe with 2sections.. 1for square and 1for rectangular tarps. you could get people who are into diy tarps could add links to their how to vids.
+Steve Clamp all right, sounds like a plan. The series on square tarp isn't finished yet, so it will have to wait a bit. The diy thing is a cool idea. Also because your ideal tarp size may not be available.
Thanks for sharing, this is so clever I have just bought this tent but haven't camped out in it yet but I must try this configuration I will check out your channel like and sub, take care Les.
Thanks Les! Ah, you have this excellent tent. For me, it has withstood some very serious weather, the kind that uproots trees. You will love this trick once you ty it, also good for cold conditions.
First of all, thank you for posting this. I didn't know there was such a thing as a hexamid tarp tent. I'm wondering if you were in a situation where you have an overhanging limb above the tent if you could use a small ball inside the tent at the peak and tie it up to the limb to eliminate the center post. Then you'd have more room inside.
Hi! Thanks for the reply. There is actually a loop at the peak for hanging it, so it was specifically designed for that. More room indeed! In very windy conditions I would trust the pole(s) on the inside better though. Kind regrds, Papa hiker
I think I like this better than the original configuration. Also with the longer length the V4 should work better for my length (190 cm). Would the inner still fit somewhat ?
+wazzup105 Hey Wazzup, I think the main advantage is the footprint and warmth. The added length is some, but not much: it is offset a little by the shallower roof angle. The original inner will probably not fit! I am 194 by the way and i fit easily. Give it a shot! Kind regards papa hiker
Bummer, no. It was the alox camper, that happened to be in my pocket. The modded knife did see some action though and it works very well. Cheers Tyson!
VERY helpful, THANX! On several ocasions I had problems pitching my Silhexpeak when space was limited. Now - thanks to you - I know what to do!
Hey that is great! Just what the video was about. Kind regards Papa hiker
i always enjoy your tarpology vids. i just wish i could remember them all. many thanks for sharing.
Thanks Steve! Should i make a video that lists them all, maybe a website? It's easy to get lost in the possibilities.

"...works even if drunk or dark"- Thank you, that's how I camp!
Hahaha! Good for you!
The only choices? 😂

Is de hexpeak groot genoeg voor iemand van 185 (incl winter gear) denk je ?
