I taught myself floral design 5 years ago when our oldest daughter was getting married. I used wood flowers and made over 125 pieces - decorations, centerpieces, bouquets, bride bouquet, throw, boutonnières, pin on corsages…it took me 9 months, as I was teaching myself and there was so much I had to make, I’m also slow as I have a connective tissue disease where repetitive motion makes my neck, arms and hands worse. After doing my daughter’s wedding, I had so many people wanting me to do their flower. Again because of health I couldn’t commit. However, I have done 7 other weddings for close family and friends that had small weddings. I’ve also made arrangements, decor, ornaments etc for gifts from me. No one in my area does wood flowers, but as said before, health prevents me from doing it as a job. I have to work an hour then rest a while and not overdo, or I pay for it for days. I started with just the raw flower heads, painted, stemmed and then designed with both artificial, preserved, and dried greenery and filler. Now I’m working on our other daughters flowers. I’m slower now than I was 5 years ago due to health. I have completed the Bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnières. I still have to do corsages, throw bouquet, an arch piece, a few other pieces and her bouquet. She wants a cascade which I’m saving that until last because I have never attempted cascade. I have bad creativity block as I’m working on corsages today. She wants pin on, which is what my other daughter had. I have a room that is like a florist with so many flowers, greenery etc. I’m having creative block so I was searching ideas for pin on corsages & found your video. I know this is for wrist, but I can get ideas for the pin on style. Thank you. I have 10 weeks to finish 7 pin corsages, 1 throw bouquet, cascade Bride bouquet, Arch piece, and a few more decorations. So I’m stressed.

Thanks for sharing this great tutorial. I've made plenty of pin on corsages. I do like the look of the wristlet, but i don't like that the elastic is always too tight. Everyone complains about that. 💯

Can you please tell me how long these flower arrangements will last and do they need to be refrigerated to help them last longer?

Yes, we put ours in a cooler to keep them fresh. They should last about a day outside a cooler and two, maybe three, inside a cooler!

They will last about two days outside of a cooler and about three to four days inside a cooler.

I would have just taped the 2 wires and the bow all at the same time instead of individually
