Hi! We are a small flower shop based in Mississippi. We work on all types of arrangements that go to all sorts of events. We try our best to make quality tutorials so that you're able to follow along and learn! We also do live-streams so that you can interact with us personally and so we can answer any of your questions. Feel free to check out our blog, Instagram, and Facebook. Late comment on loop replay: we are still under the Atmospheric River (more than 15 inches rain in 4 days), but tomorrow is Christ the King Sunday on the church calendar, I am doing this arrangement, elevated on top of a large vase, for the altar. Fresh and faux DO NOT make a beautiful arrangement. If I was ordering flowers w/ greenery and the florist shop did not have greenery, I would go to a different flowers shop.

Nice arrangement. Do you have your customers sign for the flowers when you deliver them? Do you think it is a good idea to do that?
Thank you! Some florists require a signature at delivery and some don't. As long as we've been open, we've never required a signature and haven't had any issues. If the recipient isn't present at the time of delivery, we simply text them and let them know we've dropped off a delivery for them at their home/work/etc. So I would say it is up to the florist!

My cats try to eat my poinsettias so I need to use silks. Do you make something like this arrangement to mail? One more day and my wreaths arrive 😊

As a Wreathmaker I am finding the Trends for Xmas 2024 is Non Traditional Colors. Pastels, especially Pink, Candy Themes, Mixed Metallics, Blues, Earth Tones, Bows and Ribbons instead of Tinsel, Feathers and Picks in your trees instead of Ornaments, Crystal, Minimalist Decorating, Less is More. Owls, Nutcrackers and Colored Lights.

Maybe the man and his wife have been married 47 years. You said he wanted peppermint carnations. If he let you know ahead of time , would you have been able to accommodate him? I realize you would need to have time to get them, but shouldn’t a flower shop get any kind of flower the customer wants? If he was willing to pay for it? Time and money should do the trick for any kind of flowers the man wanted! Not many men know what peppermint carnations are. (Ha ha). But 48 years ago, carnations were a very popular flower in most flower bouquets and arrangement and corsages. I don’t know what has happened over the years that people don’t want carnations anymore. I would love a bouquet like that. My husband always got me pink carnations. Nothing smells more lovely than a carnation!
A florist will always do their best to get exactly what the customer wants, but they never make a promises. Sometimes the availability or time of year make it difficult to get them. That’s why they always let the customers know if they can’t get the exact flowers they will have a back up. The customer is always aware and has to approve the back up plan. Notice she said that she wasn’t able to get those carnations so he was happy to get the red and white. Either way its a beautiful arrangement. I used to not like carnations but have grown to love them. They really are a beautiful and hardy flower! ❤️

How do you secure the design bowl to the wicker horn? I’m doing some of these but I need to deliver them.
Floral wire across the mouth of the cornucopia….of course, pour out the water for transit, have customer refill “and water daily”.
Some sort of weight in the pointy end will keep it from tipping.

The arrangement is gorgeous! I will never understand, in a million years, why you add flower food to the water before you put in the flowers. That water has leaves and debris from the flowers. It MUST be changed to clean water and then add the flower food.
