I had to come back and make one more comment - I just finished making the cornbeef and OMG it was so flavorful. I decided to do it in the oven wrapped tightly in foil as you did in the video. Thanks for sharing.
I've always baked mine with mustard &brown sugar but never tried the sliw cooker. great idea! gosh, I can't wait for Sunday! I do one boiled dinner & 1 baked (might try the slow cooker though!) Yummmm!
food channel had shredded cooked corned beef mixed with shredded swiss or other kind of white cheese. made into a ball, breaded with rye or pumpernickle bread crumbs and then deep fried. the meat is already cooked so you just need to fry it to crunch up the bread crumbs and melt the cheese. looked amazing
I see this video is 7 years old. I watch it that corned beef looks so good can’t wait to try it. Brown sugar and mustard never seen that done can’t wait. Thanks Linda’s pantry
Ooooh, Linda on the GO! This video was a great reminder that we have to make our corned beef tomorrow. I almost forgot! I am so glad I clicked over. Not sure if we'll try this one tomorrow, but I am so excited for our yummy crockpot meal tomorrow!
I really look forward to that series. I fear overly processed and too much fast food, so it will be much better for me. PLUS, your recipes are so appealing. I can almost taste the dishes even though I am only watching. The innovative ways you combine flavors intrigue me.
Joe you are so funny Micheal has to live in our 24' Travel Trailer so he is all hooked up. And yes Sage is here having wonderful time:( Thank you for stoppin by for a visit~ ~Be Blessed my friend~
This is a great recipe , a rig cook showed me how to do CB like this when I was 16 and he done a 30 lb pot full when it was done you could pull a tooth pick thru it for tender and so much flavor , Ya awesome sandwich meat YUMMMMMMY.
Looks wonderful!! My husband is not a big horseradish fan or a fan of anything spicy. You said there is a hint of the horseradish taste. Do you think my sensitive, sweet husband could handle it?
Of coarse I do, but I have made a commitment to myself to try to eat better. And this was not grass fed beef and I compared this with beef that are fed all the bad stuff and they cost more:) Sorry you were offended! Be Blessed~
Hi Linda, I'm still loving your videos ! Thanks for the great info ......... I was wondering if you could tell me if you are were friends with the my green home channel cant remember his name but I'm bummed utube lost his channel err i mean he is not listed in my favorites any more and i cant find him on utube he was in Canada , please do you know who I'm thinking of?
I take a corned beef, rub on it brown sugar, put it in a crock pot, pour all over it a guiness beer, throw in some potatoes and let it cook all day. It is delicous and very easy. I have also thrown in green beans and it really good and tender.
Looks amazing. I must give it a whirl. I have a crockpot of the perfect size that I seldom get to use now that I no longer feed people. But, Mikey sure does love him a good sammich, so I can have it all to myself.
mine had so much juice I think I overcooked it a bit. I placed it in the oven @300 for 3hrs.but after 2hrs. it was fillin the house with that delicious fragrance. I should have checked the temp at 2hrs. mine was a little over 2lbs. I gotta do it agin:)
"Corn your own Beef" from Homesteading Family channel. I haven't watched yet, but i saw another one where they soaked it in a brine solution for 6 days.
Actually, by seasoning the cut of meat without using whole peppercorn and meat pickling seasoning, you are not cooking a Corned Beef cut, you are cooking a Brisket Beef cut.
fact : truth be known is no certified beef producer can use hormones or anti-biotics in beef slated for human consumtion ...its the government legislated law ... and advertising that your beef is free of these processes only instils fear that some do .... which is wrong

Linda if you were to cook this in the oven ( my preferred method) how long would you recommend and at what temp please?
Great video Linda. I wonder how the corned beef seasoning taste with the mustard and brown sugar? Or maybe a beef or rib rub?
So darn good and it really worked out better than the Trailer oven:)
cant wait to try this out! never thought of using brown sugar and mustard on one..I usually just use that on ham..but I will give it a go...thanx :)
Do you not have cored beef?

You are not suppose the clamp the lid down while cooking. The lid is made to snap down after cooking to transport the foot and keep it hot.
Yes indeed:)

Actually, by seasoning the cut of meat without using whole peppercorn and meat pickling seasoning, you are not cooking a Corned Beef cut, you are cooking a Brisket Beef cut.

Undercooked
When I use this media for a recipe I expect the presenter to get to the point and share the recipe....less commentary would be nice. Moving on!
Larry N sooo much commentary 🤦♀️
Agree
I agree
I think we know how to place it in a crock pot
Come on I wanna cook already
Thank you:)
:)
