Best EVER!!!! WOW six years ago u made this video and it is still the best receipt!!!!!Anyone who hasn't tried this, "you don't know what your missing."
Never cooked a corned beef brisket before in my life . Easy directions with simple ingredients. WOW . Smells amazing while cooking/steaming... glazed...let set overnight...and just sliced them. Tasty!!! Now we can stock up on sale corned beef brisket, have a whole cooked chunk for cheaper than eating out most anywhere... with lots of amazing Rueben sandwiches at home. Love it. Thank you!!! (Cooked up two yesterday, bought another one today...!)
Just tried your recipe and I love it. Just do happen to have a brisket in the freezer and I didn't know what to do with it so I looked up how to cook it and your recipe get showed up and boy was a delicious thank you very much.
OMG! This is soooooo good! I’ve tried many ways to cook corned beef because my family loves Ruben sandwiches. This is the best recipe ever. And so simple! I used a large Dutch oven to cook it in. Did the marinade during the last 30 minutes then Broiled both sides for a couple minutes each side with the marinade at the very end. Delicious!
Hey, Larry! I just pulled THREE slabs of corned beef out of the oven, using these directions. I remembered how much I loved it last year, so when I got the corned beef on sale, I got 3 of them to cook at once (I'll slice and freeze most of it, to enjoy during the year!). I couldn't wait to try it -- I was drooling all afternoon! Finally just got some sliced off this year's dish, and I have to repeat: THIS WAS THE BEST CORNED BEEF I'VE EVER MADE!!! Bless you, my friend!
Hello Larry, just finished cooking the corned beef brisket with the honey mustard glaze. WOW!!! Excellent! I will use this particular process many more times. The recipe was easy to follow and the results were spectacular. Instead of beer, I used frozen concentrate apple juice (a full can) along with 6 ounces of water. Otherwise, I stuck to the recipe. Currently it is sitting in the refrigerator and I will slice it tomorrow in the afternoon. Looking forward to the Reuben sandwich tomorrow. Thank you for sharing the recipe, I will be trying more.... Regards, FZ
Just made this today. It was the very first time I’ve ever made corned beef and although I was nervous it turned out absolutely amazing!! You hit it out of the park with this recipe man !!!
We just did this recipe a few days ago and it was a big hit. So delicious, and we thank you! We enjoyed it so much I am tempted to buy another corn beef while they are on sale. The key is definitely to not over cook it (you do not want it to pull apart like pulled pork) Then cut small portions against the grain which makes this delicate and so good. I used an electric knife which made it easy peasy. AGAIN: cut against the grain and you are golden! Thanks again WolfePit you helped us make a great St.Patricks day meal and earned a subscriber.
Just used your recipe for corned beef brisket for the tenth time and it was perfect again. I didn't have time to get some honey from my hive so I substituted Russian dressing. My sons said that the glaze tasted better and I must say it was delicious. Thank you ... again!
I am starting a new tradition for the Christmas meal since we don't eat pork. This is amazing!!!! Won't be none left for Christmas. I got to go get another brisket.
It looked mighty tasty! I cannot wait to try it for St. Patrick's day, by smelling the aroma filling the kitchen and by tasting it. Thank you so much for posting. Looking forward to more of your creations! Cook on!
OK, I have to tell you, I just used this recipe to make my St. Patrick's Day corned beef -- and THIS WAS THE BEST CORNED BEEF I'VE EVER MADE!!! (I don't think I will EVER make corned beef the old way again!) Thanks so much, Larry!!!
Made this on Wednesday 3/8/2017 along with cabbage, potatoes and green beans. Made it again today Sunday March 12 2017 to have for sandwiches. I love this recipe. This is the only one I am going to use from now on. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic! Drooling. I liked the water steam part especially to heat the corned beef and melt the cheese, something you would not ordinarily think to do.
Thank you! Yeah, the water heats things through and keeps the corned beef moist. This could have been done in the oven but by the time everything was heated through and the cheese was melted the corned beef would be dry!!! Larry
I cant give you a thumbs up simple because it adds your video to my like list which i use as a music playlist 90% of the time, but I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your recipe. I'm a trained chef, but never worked at a place that served corned beef on the menu so this is something I simply never had the opportunity to cook, I'm about to cook a corned beef brisket for my wife and this was inspiring so I'll be keeping this in mind as I cook. Cheers.
essextwo No problem! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment I appreciate it!! Hope your corned beef turns out great for you and your wife!!Larry
Just found this a couple days ago and ty for flavoring with something other than just traditional! My husband doesn't like it and I love corned beef. But that glaze is a flavor combo that he loves! I just cooked a wee bit different but same glaze. 1st I used a pressure cooker. Rinsed meat well and put in pot with cold water and simmered for 30 minutes (cuts just a little salt but not all). Remove meat dump water. Add meat back to pot, add season pack plus, 1tbs pickling spice, 1tsp peppercorns, 4 cloves garlic Add 2 cups beer, 1tbs better than bouillon beef Fill up with enough water to cover meat. HP for 60 minutes than 10 minutes NPR Remove meat to pan on a rack using 1cup of juices in bottom of pan. 375° oven for 30 minutes basting every 10 minutes with your glaze. Refrigerate over night and slicing today for rubens. Hubby tasted meat last night and loved it!! I saved some of the glaze to use on our sandwiches instead of thousand island. Ty ty ty for an excellent recipe! I would have made it in the oven but it's just to damn hot!!!
Larry, with St. Patrick's Day upon us, there is a great need for a different way to cook corned beef. I think you got a winner in this recipe looks mighty fine my friend!
I made this for St. Patrick's day, it turned out delicious! I didn't have the spicey brown mustard and used great value southwest spicy mustard instead had great flavor and nice kick to it. I also soaked the brisket for about 10 minutes to get some of the salt out, it still had the great Corned beef flavor. It made for really good sandwiches.
I used your recipe today for my St. Patrick's day dinner, and it was fantastic! The only substitution I made was to use some honey mustard that I already had, rather than using the two separate ingredients. I'm really looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow, and i might just buy another corned beef and throw it in the freezer to make at a later date. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
Hey, I've got your recipe for baked corned beef in the oven.; Today being St. Patricks day, this is how we will be cooking our St Pattys day meal! I am going to boil some carrots potatoes and cabbage on the side and thank you Mr. Wolfe Pit man for showing me how to dazzle my family on this very fine St. Patricks day eve! Cheers!
I made this corned beef, and it was awesome! I used to put it in water on the stove, because that's how we've done it for generations. This is a much better method! My husband and I ate the entire thing in one sitting! It was absolutely amazing 💗
thank you for sharing this recipe, i made it today and let me tell you it is the best ,one thing I will change next time I make it is i will be using yellow mustard instead of spicy, I'm not into spicy food's other than that I give it two thumbs up.
There's such thing as quality malt liquor? LOL I've had a few years ago and I still have a liking to Mickeys big mouths!! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the corned beef and glaze!
I'm adding a second comment simply because I changed the basting mix this time added more yellow mustard to the spicy mustard to balance the flavor ,came out so good but the rest of the recipe I made exactly as the video called for, its the best recipe out there ,people you should definitely try it believe me you will not regret it. 👍👍
When I say that teeny tiny package of pickling spice, I immediately thought, "It needs more." And then you gave it more! Nicely done. If you're leaving on fat for flavor and moisture, then YOU must be one flavorful and moist guy. LOL!
Great video Larry, I have always put the pickling spice on my brisket. I am definitely going to try your version this year. And that honey mustard glaze, YUM. Thanks for the recipe link too.
Robert Peters Thanks Robert! Letting the spices steam in the beer you get all of the flavor without biting into leaves, stems, peppercorns etc!! LOL I loved the glaze, so simple yet it added a very balanced sweetness!
Nice recipe Larry, i am Irish so i have quite a few corn beef recipes. Most of mine use cabbage instead of sauerkraut, but my wife is austrian/german, but it is a win/ win situation because i also like sauerkraut, and she likes corn beef and sauerkraut or cabbage also.
Looks awesome! My mom always invited me over when she made corned beef. One time I said to her, why do you always have corned beef? She said, I thought you liked corned beef. I said, I do, but you are such a good cook, I'd eat anything you made. She was a gem.
My secret is get both a point and flat....honey dijon mustard brown sugar and the pickeling spice....wrap it super tight...350 degree over for an hour per pound....let sit for an hour before slicing.....omg!!! Soooo good
I made this recipe with a couple of changes I used water instead of beer and southwest spicy mustard from Walmart instead of spicy brown mustard . Didn't have spicy brown mustard and I don't do anything with beer or any kind of alcohol. It came out delicious and made the best Corned beef sandwiches ever l also soaked the meat before cooking for 10 minutesin cold water to get some of the salt out. Which is what I always
Thanks for the instructions on cooking that corned beef brisket. It really looked good and that sandwich rocked! Nothing like a good corn beef! Great video!
Really moist and tender looking corned beef Larry. That was a great idea putting the corned beef in the oven. I'm going to try smoking one this weekend, but it won't be Pastrami! Wish me luck!! LOL
Larry, you make me want to convert to Irish when I see how delicious your finished corned beef sandwich looked. Who would-a thunk that honey mustard glaze would pair so well with the perfectly cooked and sliced corned beef! Thanks for the terrific recipe video!
I was just thinking when I was grocery shopping yesterday, that I have to pick up my brisket for St. pattys day! i am gonna try this version as it looks AWESOME!! Happy St. Patty's day to ya!!! :)

Larry, nice job! I'd add some caraway seeds to the sauerkraut and swap the bottom bread mustard for some fresh ground horseradish, but it's all about what YOU like. From Me the People!
Larry made this today on the smoker actually did 2 outstanding out come accepted that challenge with some reservations but man amazing flavor, texture and it was just YUM gonna do it again gonna kick it a up a bit little horseradish. Use to eat a local bar that used Swiss cheese with horseradish 2 thumbs up
***** Larry, came home from the office tonight nothing sounded good. opened the freezer and found the left overs from this made some Ruben egg rolls with a bit of horseradish mixed in the dressing and sourkraut some shredded swiss it was outstanding.
I'm cooking this tomorrow and I guarantee you it's going to be good. By the way your Salisbury steak recipe we made it the other night oh so good. ️ ☺️
larry! you are the man! now on to business. i recently found out i have an ulcer, can you do a recipe on something tasty, as my diet is very bland right now? love ya man keep up the good work. ps. my favorite vids are the what are we eating series. sooooooo awesome!!!!! and happy new year!!
White Thunder BBQ Nate that sounds fantastic! If you want any leftover for hash get a bigger one or two, because that 3.5 lber was GONE lickity split! Thanks for watching!
I know....last year I got one about that size and made pastrami....think it was 3 maybe 4 sandwiches. Debating on getting a whole brisket this year....3.69 a lb compared to 5.99 for corned beef brisket flat.
This is Whats for Dinner Thank you Chad! I've done corned beef several ways and the way the salty, sweet, peppery flavors come together is amazing. Then the sour from the kraut on the sandwich it was like a carnival of flavors! Hope you give it a try buddy!
Best EVER!!!! WOW six years ago u made this video and it is still the best receipt!!!!!Anyone who hasn't tried this, "you don't know what your missing."

Omg does that look good! I bet that would be fantastic in some hash! Amazing job Larry!
*Homerun* my man!! That's the best damn corned beef I've ever seen Larry!!! Far out brother.. I'm saving this bad boy.. Cheers!!
This is Whats for Dinner Thank you Chad! I've done corned beef several ways and the way the salty, sweet, peppery flavors come together is amazing. Then the sour from the kraut on the sandwich it was like a carnival of flavors! Hope you give it a try buddy!
This was a great cook. You inspired me to do my version of this weekend.
No Hippie BBQ & Cooking Thank you! Hope you enjoy!
