I have stumbled across your video. I live in a van that is around 35 years old and i have to deal with some surface rust. So it was interesting for me to hear your thoughts on dealing with your boat. Farting is great, you have to let it out. I imagine if there is any place that will get wind moving it will be at a yoga class 😂The marbled note books look lovely, being crafty is essential , you are doing a great job. Good luck with your next attempt at filling in your boat. Namaste.

How amazing that you live in a Van. Where in the world are you ?? I have recently considered VanLife, but can’t part with my beautiful boat! Thanks so much for your lovely comments and hope you continue to enjoy my silly little Vlogs. I guess ‘letting it out’ is part of the human make-up! we all do it!! 😂😂 hope you subscribe and hit the bell for my next update. Namaste 🌸

Oooh you did make me giggle watching this vlog, Peri! As my Irish grandmother used to say, 'you can't hold what you haven't got in your hand'! 🤣🤣🤣 PS Consider opening an Etsy shop if that isn't too daunting. Love that your artwork is all created on board a narrow boat.

      😂😂
I thought about Etsy, even tried it for a few months with other creative works I did, but it’s a real flooded market and all my woven products were bespoke and made to order so no 2 were alike…….. but thanks for the thought! 🌸

I’m really curious about life on a narrow boat. Over the 10 years you’ve lived in one, has it needed much maintenance? 😊

Good question Yasmin. The regular maintenance that’s required for Narrowboat is that it has to come out of the water every so many years to have its hull ‘blacked’. If you use Bitumen, it’s every 3 to 4 years, if you use a 2 part epoxy covering, which I do, it’s more expensive but it lasts longer. Then it comes out of the water every 4 to 7 years. Also every four years you have to have a BSS it’s Boat saftey certificate, an engine service every now and again, like a car. In 10 years I have had my Ruston Hornsby serviced about 3-4 times and she’s runs absolutely fine. So that’s the regular and much needed maintenance of course if you’ve got your boat for a long time then the outside has to be treated and painted but some boats will last for years without needing a paint job and some boats need it more often. And then there would be your normal interior decor etc that you would do in a house! So Yasmin, that’s about it if you’re thinking about it for the future once you’ve experienced Van Life! I would highly recommend this way of life.!! ❤
