  • Tasmania - A entertaining 4wd travel documentary about the West Coast of Australia's Apple island. Once more we discover the uniquely beautiful and often hard to reach places Tasmania has to offer. With our 4wd we are exploring the more challenging off-road tracks and locations not readily available to most people. Completely self-sufficient we were overlanding and camping at some magic spots.
In part one of our off road adventure we drive Sarah Anne Rocks Track, Sandy Cape Track, the legendary Balfour Track, discover Trial Harbour Beach drive the famous Climies and the lesser known Federation Mine Processing Track and explore and camp
at Pulpit Rock & Cliff Mine.
Tasmania - Arthur Beach Track - A possibly hard 4wd Track along Arthur beach to the Sundown Creek. The 4x4 track includes several river crossings like Alert Creek and Tiger Bottle Creek and can be treacherous due to large logs being washed down the river. The track requires a Permit
Tasmania - Sarah Ann Rocks 4wd Track - A 4km medium grade 4wd track 13km south of Arthur River with great coastal views and some unusual rock formations and you will drive trough Couta Rocks. The track requires a Permit
Tasmania - Sandy Cape 4wd Track - This track is one of the legendary 4wd offroad adventures in Tasmania but it can be very challenging. Quite a few vehicles have been lost on this track, and it's not to be taken lightly.
Quick Sand, treacherous river crossings and big swell at river mouths can turn a overland adventure quickly into a disaster. Make sure you travel in convoy, have full recovery gear and obtain track conditions from the ranger station.
Tasmania - Balfour Track 4WD Track - This is another Iconic 4x4 Track in Tasmania in connects Sandy Cape with the Western Explorer Link Rd. It's a reasonably straightforward Track but presents some deep and very long water holes and some deep muddy bog holes. After heavy rain, water ingress in the 4wd is nearly guaranteed. Make sure you travel in convoy, have full recovery gear and obtain track conditions from the ranger station.
Tasmania - Climies Track 4wd - This track used to be the main road between Granville Harbour (via Trial Harbour) to Zehan however very little maintenance is carried out on the track. Climies Track Tasmania is badly eroded and one of the main obstacles is the Granit Creek Crossing which has cost the life of several people. Make sure you travel in convoy, have full recovery gear and obtain track conditions from the ranger station.
Tasmania - Federation Mine Processing Track - A short fairly rocky track with a lot of pinstriping, no chance to turn around and a very deep rut around 100m before the track ends.

sorry guy's I had to relist the video, the addon I used (and paid for!) to do the track classifications did not work correctly I did not always render correctly so I'm in dispute with the seller and he thought it was a good idea to file a copyright claim. So I do it now manually without his add-on as I'm not sure how long it takes for the claim to be released.

My first 4wd trip at 18 was through the Arthur Pieman in my stock RRC. Made me fall in love with Rovers. The granite creek crossing was much harder as you mentioned. Punctured my fuel tank on the boulder in the middle of the crossing, every lifted 4wd bottomed out on them. Planning on taking my 2016 Defender 90 through there someday soon. Amazing place.

Hi Guys, I've done climies twice now, but i had never heard of pulpit rock and we've decided to add it to our itinerary for our Feb/March trip to tassie. what is the track like out to pulpit? We will be travelling solo, so were wondering if there was anything crazy technical or difficult along that track off climies to get there? Plan is to approch from Trial Harrbour and just come back out the same way, instead of doing the run to Granville. Any tips or suggestions would be great :) We are currently having a bit of a youtube marathon watching you tassie vids. Great drone shots. Definitely makes me want to get one for the trip :)
