I have 2 Gen 1 R3 Sabre Pro and they both sound fantastic. I bought a 3rd R3 Pro but it must have been the 2022 version and I can say the sound signature changed for the worst. I can say the same thing happend to Shanling. The Shanling house sound of 3 years ago has also changed for the worst. I bought 3 Phinstec S7 for 87 bucks on an amazon deal. They are dual dac, not perfect with some minor quirks, but all daps have their quirks The phinstec overall works and sound great. The phinstec has a 3.5 inch screen with hiby based software and the sound is actually very good. It gives me another to match my 20+ chifi IEMS to get that synergy. The Phinstec S7 is a steal for a dual dac with a fairly large screen.
I personally use HiBy Music Player, but I've used Poweramp and UAPP before. All are good choices, but I've gotten used to the HiBy Music Player so I use that :D
Thanks for the review! I just received mine. I am wondering why the volume is low with my Bluetooth earbuds Sennheiser Momentum 3. I like to listen louder. Regarding the taste I like the earbud's volume is 100% and Hiby's volume is around 90. Hiby R3 Pro was louder than R6 III. Can you please advise if I can increase the volume range somehow? Thanks
Unfortunately, I also came across this issue. It seem like a problem with BT devices with variable volume. I was told to find the manual volume control but I could not find it. I briefly saw a setting, but I was unable tor replicate it until today. I'll let you know if I find another fix for this. Hope you enjoy you R6 III!
@@obodioreviews Thank you for your reply! I also noticed that the LED indicator color is half green-ish\yellow when it should be just yellow or orange :) Did you notice anything like that? Bluetooth signal is extremely stable and the range is impressive, much much better than R3 Pro.
@@obodioreviews I found the solution: First, go to Settings->About device->tap the "Firmware version" several times to activate the developer options. Second, go to Settings->System->Developer options, and scroll down the screen, you can find the Bluetooth volume limit disable. This helped to me :)
@@sunlightnsk That's awesome dude! Big thanks for finding that out. I remember I saw a setting like that but since it was in the developer, I was kinda scared toggling it.
The Hiby R6 iii is Junk. Freezes in Class A mode constantly, amplifier section is easily beat by my $150 amp. UI needs tons of help, slow, Customer Care suck !! This thing is Junk.
It's ageing. The hiby r4 beats it. I'm waiting for the next product that will hopefully fix that. Also the software is very unoptimized. I'm thinking I will need to start learning android optimization and how to root the device.
