Wolf tone, phrasing, Brahms F sonata fingertips, Arpeggione , talk about the tunning playing with piano , how to prepare for 1st rehearsal as a soloist without knowing the conductor , how to choose better bowings , a shoot of different bow strokes maybe. Good luck, maestro Pablo.
I’m glad someone finally put out something explaining injuries. I’ve only been playing for seven years (and I’m 17) and I’ve never really had a teacher explain to me injuries and what to do to prevent them. This was very helpful!
I’ve been struggling with wrist pain for a couple of months now and this really helps! Could you please make a video on your tips for thumb position? Thanks for the great tips!
So glad you made this! I get lots of discomfort but I have never tried any of these things. I get lots of discomfort with my cello including back and neck ache. I think my cello (full size) is too big for me and I need a 7/8. However these tips are going to be part of my routine from now on. Again thank you 🙏 👍😊
Yes. A 7/8 helps. When I bought mine I tried to find a 7/8 but the Luthiers around me in Germany had none. A violin teacher and my best ever friend told me "buy a 7/8 because many women use them in Orchestra in Europe, for your height is better". But when I tested the cellos at the Luthier, I fell in love with a 4/4 with an incredible sound. My destiny was to have it, I believe. The Luthier had separated another for me but I like the other one. I worked my sitting position and other details and when I play now I use a corset that helps me be erected and in good position on the chair. I also stretch lots and yoga poses help. I don't plan to buy another cello.
This has been the biggest mindset shift that's helped me now that I'm learning cello. Of course I'd love to play all day every day, but now I stop as soon as I hit low level sore/fatigue, take a good break/bath/whatever, and come back later. I imagine letting my body soak in the practice and write it to muscle memory, and that takes time. :P
Your approach to conceiving instrument players as athletes is fantastic. I have seen Pau Gasol taking ice baths on his legs after matches and the fact that you say that you do it too is great because it gives us peace of mind of knowing that it is also good for instrument players. Very helpful advices as always. Thanks a lot!!
I’ve been very fortunate to not have any injury in all 16 years of cello. My technical goal has always been to use as little energy as possible and I imagine this helps.
I had a nasty scare yesterday when the tactile sensitivity in my hands were greatly reduced for the whole day, My independent finger coordination and ability to feel the guitar strings (and winds on said strings) were severely muted making playing feel (in the only way I can describe it) Foggy. Without directly looking at my hands I could not be confident on what fingers were doing what, And by days end I was getting close to screaming, EXTREMELY FUCKING SCARY.
Buy these books: "The Advanced Cellist's Book" by Benjamin Whitcomb. (Tem todo um Plano de estudo e motivação -Não falo espanhol só português, então desculpa-me); -- "The Art of Cello Playing" by Louis Potter, Jr. Years ago, I bought this one: Easy Classical Duets By Javier Marcò. That's it. Hope you like it.
Um outro livro muito bom: "Lessons in Music Form" By Percy Goetschius. It was published in 1904. You can find it at Project Gutenberg and download for free.
to be honest I don’t practice with mirror... I think you listen better when you are not looking at stuff, works better to record yourself on video to see physical things that you don’t like.

What would you like my next tutorial to be about? Give me some ideas!
maybe advice for young musicians? if you haven't done that video yet
Aunque has hablado muchas veces de esto: EL ARCO y sus posibilidades expresivas.
Con muchos ejemplos, sería genial!
Feeling bigger muscle groups when you are playing, especially for the right arm

Sleep and hydration probably most important here! Thanks Pablo!!!
I have many aches and pains but that’s because I’m OLD! 🥴😂

Hi Pablo, how much time did you spent on scales and other exercises a day, when you was younger than 20 years old? It is just interesting😀
It would be amazing if you coud teach how to have a better coordination on both hands!!!
Can you have Sol Gabetta in your next interview please??
Unfortunately not everyone likes or has time to do interviews.... :(
Pabló❤️

There is an excellent book on that. In fact, I know two. I will post the names here later.

Do you work with mirror? I suppose you do, so tell us how to use it?)))
I mean how to not pay a lot of attention to your reflection and do it helpfully
