Bro's, you'll love their "(I Know) I'm Losing You"!!! Rod Stewart on lead vocals. Ronnie Wood (pre-Rolling Stones) with one of the great rock song guitar intros on Stay With Me!
Straight up rock and roll! Great party song! Love the drums. Rod Stewart is instantly recognizable for sure. "Maggie May" is one of his top hits. Ron Wood now plays with the Rolling Stones. Welcome back guys. Nice reaction - thanks!!
These guys went on to greater fame -- Rod Stewart solo, then Ronnie Wood with the Rolling Stones, and Kenney Jones replaced Keith Moon on drums for The Who from 1978 thru the 1980s.
Faces was an English rock band formed in 1969. They released 4 studio albums between 1970 and 1973. The original lineup consisted of Rod Stewart on lead vocals, Ronnie Wood on lead guitar, Ronnie Lane on bass guitar, Ian "Mac" McLagan on keyboards, and Kenney Jones on drums.
Great work guys, the Faces were formed from the Small Faces when Steve Marriott left to for Humble Pie, the remaining band members hired Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart on Lead guitar and Vocals, they changed the name to just Faces as Rod is 6ft fall and he said he could not really be called the Small Faces anymore. You should react to The Killing of Georgie parf 1 and 2 from Rod Stewart such a great song about the true story of the murder of one of Rod's friends.
Loved it! 😍 I swear I don't think Rod got more than 3-4 words out and you guys looked at each other and said Rod Stewart??? LOL The look was priceless 😅 and even funnier to me was that I think I had the exact same look! LOL I was a kid when this came out. I know of the song; like you said the voice is unmistakable. But I never knew he was in a band and I never heard of Faces either!? LOL I love learning something new! Thanks Bros!! 😊❤
Back when Rod was a rocker. Check out from the same period of the band, another belter called Sweet Little Rock n Roller,a cover of Chuck Berry’s original. Magnificent.
There were lots of great bands back in 1971. The lineup of musicians in Faces with Rod Stewart fronting the band was arguably the best live performers in Rock n Roll at that time.
Pre Rod Stewart they were The Small Faces, then singer left and they were FACES with Rod Stewart on vocals, then Rod Stewart and Faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peter Frampton played with humble pie, Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton worked together and then did their solo work, Rick Derringer played with Edgar winters band, Robin Trower , Jeff Beck the list goes on
You should discover a band called, Blood, Sweat and Tears. Start with their song, I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know. Fantastic band. Very unique and masters at transitions. Incredible band. And all of their songs are fantastic.
Brothers, if you love this vibe, you need to listen to J Geils Band (Ain't Nothin' But A) House Party. They are an incredible party band with a lot of hits in the 1970s and 80s. Thank you.
The raunchy gritty rhythm guitar part comes from Ronnie Wood (later a member of the Rolling Stones) playing his custom Zemaitis “Metal Front” guitar. It has been called one of the "raunchiest guitar tones of all time."
Rod developed his solo career while still a member of the Faces. You should check out his album "Every Picture Tells A Story" - an absolute classic. I don't think there was any fall out with the band. Eventually he became such a big star that it wasn't feasible to continue with the Faces. He still stayed mates with the other band members, especially Ronnie Wood (who also went on to bigger and better things with the Rolling Stones).
Out of the ashes of one band came another….. 3 members of the Small Faces joined Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood ( Rolling Stones) and became The Faces….and had major success in the U.S …. Keep a lookout for a Brand New Faces Studio Album in 2022….. the Faces broke up because Rod Stewart’s solo career took off….. React to The Small Faces too …. Drummer, Piano, and Bass from that band formed The Faces.
Rod Stewart has such an extensive catalog you must dig deep into his music. His voice is one of a kind he can sing anything from Pop to rock to disco and you name it. Check out a song he’s saying called “forever Young“ it is totally opposite of this song. You will not be disappointed.
Not only was Rod in the Faces, many of his early "Rod Stewart" hits were really to the Faces. Also the guitarist is Ron Wood in to be Stones, and drummer later in the Who.
Listen to Rod stewart " Unplugged and Seated " ) Its a live album and its acoustic hence Unplugged, it features many of his greatest hits throughout his career with many great musicians including Ronnie Wood who was in the faces with rod but then went onto the rolling stones, He is a seriously underrated guitarist and recording artist in his own right.... If you can tack down a copy of Unplugged And Seated on Blu Ray DVD then I highly recommend it, One of the best live performances I have seen..!!!!
Hell yes !! and that was RONNIE Wood on guitar of the rolling stones!!1 before he jioned the stones i saw faces in 73 or 74 they ROCKED try twistin the night away every picture tells a story for starters........ good rockin edge NOT BUBBLEGUM POP!!!1
Bands like Faces and Free have my highest respect cause they've always been true to their genre, no shredding, just fun and talent, pure bands, untouchables. No wonder the Stones hired Ronnie Wood in 1975 🎸🤘. Bros, check out Ronnie Lane (the Faces' late bass player) solo albums, definitely worth it
Every track on their album, "Every Picture Tells a Story" is fantastic! Also, Ronnie Lane and Pete Townshend did an acoustic album together towards the end of Lane's life. It's called, "Rough Mix"--- so good...some more unexpected greatness from them both at the time. ua-cam.com/video/uQ4PIFeofd4/v-deo.html
If you like Rod Stewart with Faces, you need to check him out with Jeff Beck, God's gift to the guitar. Rod was a member of The Jeff Beck Group and the album, Truth, is a must hear. Check out I Ain't Superstitious, Shapes of Things, Let Me Love You, and Ol' Man River. Jeff Beck Group's Truth is a must hear for any lover of guitar and is considered by many to be the first heavy metal album. Great reaction, as always, y'all!
try JAMES GANG -hard rockin classic early edge try walk away funk 49 the bomber all original studio CLASSICS if u like the hardest best edgy stuff of the period....the bomber -was WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME AND ENDED THE ALBUM AS LAST SONG IT IS EPIC EPIC STUFF WE ALL LOVED
Absolute out of this world. I’m sure many people will agree here but you need to get on to the small faces, who are the original line later the faces! Tin soldier, all or nothing, itchycoo park, afterglow of your love are all easily contender for some of the greatest British songs of all time. And Steve Marriott lead singer and songwriter is easily the greatest voice Britain has ever produced ! 👌
Try frankie miller the writer and singer of your a star, which rod stewart released.voices are quite the same,he came from Scotland and was becoming an international star till he took a brain hamorage
JEFF BECK GROUP It's a travesty that the Jeff Beck Group is passed by. Rod Stewart and Ron Wood joined The Faces after they were in the JBG, Jeff Beck replaced Clapton in The Yardbirds and later shared guitar duties with Jimmy Page. Keith Moon, Page and John Paul Jones nearly joined the JBG, Nicky Hopkins (session piano player of The Beatles and The Stones) was in the JBG. The Stones wanted Jeff Beck to join them, Hendrix wanted to meet Jeff Beck more than anyone else when he came to England and gave him an Afghan hound called Pudding ... I could go on and on. I just implore you to please listen to Plynth and Rice Pudding for starters. I bloody love The Faces though, especially Stay With Me. Now you're talking more grassroots, accessible rock. Superstars who would have fun with the crowd and not shun Top of the Pops appearances.
Over 50 years old and this great track still sounds as good as it did back then. Rod and the Faces at their very best!!!
Bro's, you'll love their "(I Know) I'm Losing You"!!! Rod Stewart on lead vocals. Ronnie Wood (pre-Rolling Stones) with one of the great rock song guitar intros on Stay With Me!
You are so right! It's a must listen!
That has to be next on the list!!
Couldn´t agree more.
And a short-ish but helluva drum solo!!
This rocked kids 50 years ago. And you still take to it straightaway. Fantastic, thanks.
Rod Stewart and Faces. My first live show in 1972.
Great memories.
Cracking live. Party hard
3rd row at the Oakland Arena. awesome show

One of the greatest rock'n'roll songs of all time IMO. Hail!
YES! And, Thank You…more, more, more! Faces (Rod’s) cover of The Temptations “I’m Losing You” is the greatest!!
Yes 🙌🏼 It’s pure fire 🔥
Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood at their absolute best.
Oh, it’s Rod. And that song is the most kickass fun you can musically have! Great reaction! Love seeing you guys enjoy this stuff!
Such a special track - never gets old !
Early Rod is best Rod. Love this tune.
Loved it! 😍 I swear I don't think Rod got more than 3-4 words out and you guys looked at each other and said Rod Stewart??? Love this fun oldie. A couple other good Rod Stewart songs - "Sailing" and " I Don't Want to Talk About It" Thanks for reacting to this one guys.😊
The Small Faces "Itchycoo Park"
A MUST HEAR..TRUTH!!
Back when Rod was a rocker.
Check out from the same period of the band, another belter called Sweet Little Rock n Roller,a cover of Chuck Berry’s original.
Magnificent.

One of the best rock and roll intros! They had to be having fun playing that. Had it as my ring tone for a few years.
One of the sexiest voices on the planet!! Please check out “Reason to Believe”! It’s my favorite song by Rod Stewart. Great reaction guys! 🌺✌️
The Faces "Ooh La La"...A MUST HEAR Classic With Some Great Advice From Grandpa.
💯 I've loved Rod Stewart & Faces since wayyy back when‼I still love these good old hits‼🔥 ☮ ❤ 🎶

Now you know why the Rolling Stones gobbled up Ronnie Wood. He absolutely shreds in this song. And, of course, Rod the bod. So, so good!
Speaking Of Legendary Music Icons Like Van (The Man) Morrison Before They Went Solo,,
Them "Here Comes The Night" & "Gloria"
Both MUST HEAR Classics.
This was one great band, they also always had a great time on stage, the great Ronnie Laine on bass
One of the most "rock and roll" rock and roll songs ever recorded! They couldn't have nailed it harder.
I saw them at Warwick castle in the 70’s, still one of the best bands I’ve ever seen
I saw them on their last tour in 1974, listed on the ticket as Rod Stewart and the Faces. Opening act was a new rock trio called Rush.
Peter Frampton played with humble pie, Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton worked together and then did their solo work, Rick Derringer played with Edgar winters band, Robin Trower , Jeff Beck the list goes on
This MUST HEAR Classic Was Featured In The Movie "Death Proof" By Quentin Tarantino,,
Smith "Baby It's You"
One of my favourite straight on rockers from start to finish.
One of the best outros of all time. That's Rod indeed.
There’s nobody like Rod Stewart. One of a kind…
Rod Stewart,Ronnie Wood at their peak
Absolutely awesome thanks.
You should discover a band called, Blood, Sweat and Tears. Start with their song, I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know. Fantastic band. Very unique and masters at transitions. Incredible band. And all of their songs are fantastic.

Bands like Faces and Free have my highest respect cause they've always been true to their genre, no shredding, just fun and talent, pure bands, untouchables. No wonder the Stones hired Ronnie Wood in 1975 🎸🤘. Bros, check out Ronnie Lane (the Faces' late bass player) solo albums, definitely worth it
When Rod Stewart hit it big he had the Small Faces as the band. All from UK. Rin Wood on lead guitar . They must have 3-4 albums together.
Hey, you have to listen to the band Slade....very cool rock sounds and voice from Noddy Holder 🎸😊
