Is it possible to grow and bloom micro lotus indoor under this grow lights. I have seen the leafs growing in this lights. Can the lotus produce flowers like the Lily's.
Sorry for the delayed response. We are yet to try growing lotus indoors so we are honestly not in the best position to comment. But growing Lotus may be slightly difficult in our opinion
Hey guys amazing aquarium! I set up a tank with a tropical lily like yours myself, but a lot smaller. I found other videos that say like if you trim the leafs enough they'll get 'trained' to grow smaller, do you have any experience with this?
Hello sit, I purchased a healthy lilly bud. I did out it in a high tech with good light aquarium. But the leaves stay very low and never shoot up to the surface. Do you think i should pit them in a slightly darker corner in the aquarium? Its been 2 months now and more healthy leaves have been produced but around 15 cms from the bud nowhere close to the surface
I am not too sure about the lily bud and the species. I suggest that you buy slightly bigger plants, the varieties that I mentioned in the video and try
Hey how can i contact you regarding a water lily which i think is damaged by pigeons and has losts its all leaves. Though the roots are healthy. It would be great if i could revive my dream plant with your help
Hello, I saw some of your videos and found your videos very very informative. My daughter and I am developing interest in starting a new hobby to make an outdoor lily pond, grow lilies and breed fish in it. I was told by a friend who is doing it, to breed guppies. But I have been trying to understand how it works, before I get them, as I don't want it to fail. Are guppies the right fish? I am understanding that the mini pond being in sun, will attract algae. Algae will cause danger to guppies. What other fish I can add if I want the algae to be in control. If I do that, will guppies and these algae eater be able to coexist I was trying to find if there is any video by you, which addresses my concerns
Sorry for the delayed response. You see algae, unless it's overgrown, does not cause any harm to fish. In fact they help in growth of microscopic organisms which fish use as food. The algae itself is also eaten by some fish. But then from aesthetics perspective, it is better to keep algae under check. And the first thing you should do is avoid direct sunlight falling on the pond. May be you can position the lily pond under some broad leaved plants or trees which provides indirect sunlight. You should also for as big a pond as possible. The more the volume of water the less will be temperature rise and hence less chance of algae. Try to have some flow in the pond using some pond filters or even a simple air pump. Flow will avoid stagnation of water which leads to algae. You can use black mollies in the pond they do well in algae control. But the best option is shrimps, provided you have enough hiding space in the pond or else they will end up as fish dinner. Shrimps especially red cherries multiplies a lot with right hiding spae. Do not add any fish or shrimps till the pond is matured, water has cleared up and the plants established. Hope this helps. You can also call our team @9830009691 for any further help or assistance. They can hep you and our daughter further in this beautiful journey that you have embarked upon :)
We simply have ADA Aquasoil in the tank with added ADA Bottom Plus and we have simply planted the Lily there in the soil. There is no separate pot. If you are based out of Kolkata then please feel free to come to our gallery and you can see the aquarium in person
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 i am from indore and i really want to visit. Hope whenever I visit Kolkata definately will visit . And thank u so much for this information I will also try the same.
Just come here after watching your video on Mayurdev's channel. I must say you are doing an wanderful work. However i researched about this ada rgb light.. it was marked Rs 89999. This hefty price tag is unbearable. I have grown lotus on my roof and I know how hungry these plants are.. so i think it is an option to grow such plants in indoor with contenous recurring investment to sustain the growth as well as flowering.
We agree with you 100%. Replacing sunlight is a challenge. Actually the RGB light was introduced for sustaining aquatic plants, indoors. Incidentally it supported Lily as well and we documented the same. Thanks for appreciating our channel
The water lily is actually a very versatile plant They'll grow in medium lighting conditions as well and some species such as the Nymphea sp leopard, the Nymphea lotus and so on can grow and even flourish in some cases in low lighting conditions However make sure that your substrate contains enough nutrients to support the extremely nutrient demanding nature of the lilies and also that it won't lead to other plants choking up and wilting And some waterlily species (like the ones mentioned above) can actually be used as a red foliage plant in low tech tanks. You have to trim out the leaves growing up to the surface to become Lily pads to achieve the red foliage. Try out with local lilies as well though as some of them can actually have red foliage (my way to find that out is to see if there are red/brown spots on the leaves of the lilies. Have fun😊
I’ve just got some yellow wild Lillie’s from a pond they do not have the root bulb but do have a little root I’ve put them in a bowl of water & the flowers are growing out the top how do I plant these with no bulb root just let them stay in suspended water till they grow more roots ? My first experience with water Lilly’s there beautiful Thank you for your video & knowledge
Sorry for the late response. Honestly, we are not very sure, but it seems keeping them suspended till roots grows looks like a good strategy at present
We are by no means expert in Lilies or Lotus (Padma). They are different species as far as we know. We can try growing Lotus (Padma) and then share our views. Meanwhile, this is our learning for Lilies. Both needs high sunlight, so definitely if you try to grow them indoors you need a light like ADA Solar RGB

No we don't have similar experience. You see to get them to bloom they need max light and only on surface they can get adequate light.
Beautiful flowers! Can they grow outside in a large aquarium? And what kind of fish can survive in full sun?

Can a similar setup if not identical be achieved with Malawi Or mbuna cichlids ???
Mbuna and other African cichlids needs an alkaline hardwater environment.. so we think this kind of setup cannot be achieved with African cichlids
Amazing
Thanks
Thanks u and you're journey

How many days did the lily survived in that tank? And what is the temperature taken in this tank?
For at least a few days. The tank is in our gallery where temperature is maintained at 25 to 26 degree centigrade
Well , once the flowers wither , you can cut the flower stem , fry it and eat .,
Interesting insight :)
In my outdoor pond water lilies block sunlight
We could not understand actually. What lilies are you growing?
