Thanks for making this video! You explain things quite well. I just bought this same tv mount and picking it up tomorrow. Was curious what to expect since this is my first ever mount
No problem, im actually on vacation, that's why it took so long to respond. If you run into a problem, ill do my best to respond quickly.
Hey great to hear from you Rob.
Thanks man you too.
Nice Job! I know how hard it is to get a UA-cam channel going. Keep up the good work and nice info!
thanks
Great Video
Thanks!
What do the screws already in the tv bracket do
I just got a q70a might be the same tv. Which screw are you referring to? What would I call it If I go to home depot how could I find it. Thanks for the video.
take the screw with you and match the threads and diameter, then pick one with a larger head. See if the one you have works first obviously.
The bags are labeled A1-A13 but I need to find M6x16mm screws for my TV. Is there a standard/chart I should be following for this? I asked best buy but I think the rep wasn’t understanding what I was asking. Thanks in advance for your help!
the manual should show what lengths are which. If not go to home depot and compare what you have to what they have in the drawer.
Hey Rob, I'm having trouble with the tilt feature on this mount, as it's not tilting at all... Any idea how to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!
You have to loosen the bolts and set it where you want it, then retighten. It's not a continuous adjustment, its a set it and forget it type thing.
Where I fall on my face is how to attach the plastic covers on the edge of the wall plate. I'm the first person in history who can't figure it out since there's nothing on UA-cam about it. Thanks best buy!!
I'm not sure what you mean on the outlet conduit? If so I remember that being tricky at first. It either rotates out or there were little tabs that you have to push in while you're pulling the face. I could be wrong but I think thats what it was.
I couldnt keep the mount from falling off the drywall. I think I cant find the studs at right distance. Any way I could hang it with maybe drywall anchors ?
No it has to go into the studs. They sell stud finders at the hardware store.
How do You stop it from tilling sideways. When I go to bed the next morning its tilled sideways. And i can't get to to go close to the wall. It just hang to far from the wall. Had best buy installed it.
I would call best buy to fix it, but i'm thinking you mean its out of level. You have to take the tv down to level it, and you level it by adjusting the tilt plate. You should get a level if you're going to attempt it yourself. taking the tv down is pretty easy with help. Once you do that you just loosen the plate that tilts the tv forward and adjust it to level and retighten. It took me three times to get it adjusted properly. As for not going tight to the wall, is a cable interfering? if not you should be able to push it all the way back.
This helped me
@@christianfloresjr5097 glad to help
Is there a adjustment my tv is leaning forward
yes there is, the best thing to do is take the tv off and adjust it that way, you'll se a plate thats curved, that plate is where you adjust it. You should use a level to ensure the mount remains level otherwise the tv could end up out of whack. Getting it level once you loosen the plate can be difficult and take a few tries.
Can you mount this without a stud Just in anchors
on the drywall? no way, unless you have a small tv, really small. Do you have any studs in the wall at all? Because even if the studs are nowhere close there is a way to do it and I can explain it to you.
We have metal studs. What do we need?
Wood studs. lol kidding.
It sounds like you're in a basement, if so you have a few options. Is that the case? If its a small tv, say 40 inch or less, you can use 3/8 inch Toggle bolts. If it was me and it's a large tv, I would mount a piece of plywood larger than the mount and use 3/8" toggle bolts to attach it to a minimum of three studs. It's tricky but it can be done. That way you disperse the weight across a larger area. Then lag bolt the mount to that piece of plywood, you can paint the plywood to match the walls, I'd also use minimum 1/2 inch plywood. If you're worried about the appearance of the plywood you can always dress the edges up with some quarter round molding. There are a couple other options but this would be the easiest. If you need more precise instructions for toggling to the studs let me know.
I bought me a 75 inch and this same wall mount and I don't like it. It don't seem sturdy or good enough to hold my tv. Tv is leaning out of level everywhere but mount is level. It's to sketchy.
works great for me, you do have to take it down and level it many times to get it right
How do you keep the tv from falling off
if you don't see how to do that I'd have someone else look at it. The hooks that drop onto the rails have a screw that you snug up to keep the hooks tight to the rails.
Best Buy said this was a terrible mount and down the line it sags. I figured they used hardware that came with it to mount it. How is this mount holding up?
It's working great, it all depends on the installer. It's a great mount because it pivots both ways. If you don't need it to pivot both ways then you don't need this mount.
If you need any help installing it let me know. We can even do a facetime if you need to. I take good care of my viewers.
I mounted my TV just today and learned it's slightly crooked. Is there a way to fix this?
Yes you'll need to take it up and down several times and adjust the bolts on the tilt. It will take several adjustments, it's good to have a second person to make it much easier
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks! I'll have my dad help

Yeah this mount is very disappointing compared to the Amazon basic one I think the Amazon one is 20 bucks more but there's a big difference in build quality.
It worked for me.
How to remove tv from mount
there are two screws that face down, you loosen those two screws than lift the tv up off the rail. The two screws are what locks it down.
